Very happy with carers. No complaints.
Initial introduction on the 17th May 2016. Very relaxed and went through what my needs were. Left Humeral Head Fracture, arm was in a sling and had difficulty with general housework, hanging my clothes out. The girls were very helpful and took time to get to know me and did a brilliant job. Nothing was too much trouble. On the last visit I requested to go food shopping, accompanied me, took my bags and back home. I wish I had started them earlier instead of me trying to do things. I can't praise highly enough of the service that I was given and treated with respect at all times. Thank you.

Meet the Team (5)
Jane Perry started her home care journey with her husband, John back in 2008 when they purchased Bluebird Care Edinburgh. She has since opened offices in Glasgow South and Ayrshire.
Over the years, Jane has worked tirelessly to ensure she has a good team around her with the same passion for delivering high-quality, person-centric home care.
She got involved in the care sector when she was looking for home care for her grandmother in Glasgow back in 2008, she was appalled at the lack of knowledge, services, and general attitude of the companies she contacted. This set off a ‘light bulb’ moment...
After extensive research, she, after many meetings and careful consideration, chose Bluebird Care as they shared her ethos of providing a good old-fashioned service along with the ongoing support required to get her business up and running.
With Jane’s strong leadership together with her management team, she ensures overall that the interests and well-being of all customers and her team are met.
Working with multidisciplinary teams and integrating with other leaders in the Social Care sector, Jane is still as driven now as she ever was, to deliver the best, home care service possible.
Outside of work, Jane loves listening to music, good food and wine, spending time with her family and let’s not forget taking her dog (and best friend), Robbie for a walk on the beach.
John has worked in customer-facing roles for over 30 years as a Territory Manager with Tennent’s and other account management roles and is acutely aware of the importance of good customer service and the positive difference it can make.
With John’s knowledge and experience, he will normally be the first point of contact when someone is looking for care for themselves or a loved one. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about providing a quality customer service experience. He always takes the time to understand the customer’s needs, ensuring they have all the information required to make an informed decision of who cares for either themselves or a loved one.
Outside of work, John is married to the lovely Jane, and he loves spending time with his family. He has 2 boys; Nick and Adam along with 2 granddaughters; Eva and Alyssa. He is (a long-suffering) Hibs supporter and plays golf at his home course at Broomieknowe GC just outside Edinburgh. You’ll also find him listening (some say stuck in a musical time warp) to 70s & 80’s soul music.
Annemarie was inspired by social care at the age of fifteen, she travelled to Romania to help street children, orphanages, and university students. This passion has spiralled throughout her career, helping her to achieve HNC in health and social care, SVQ 3, SVQ Social Service and Health Care Level 9 and finally SVQ in care service Leadership and Management Level 10.
She has worked in a range of different sectors and settings from young children through to the elderly. Jane and John Perry inspired her to join the team with their compassion, ethos, dedication, and proven track record of delivering high-quality care at home service.
Annemarie is a Registered Manager for our Ayrshire & Glasgow South and has a passion for ensuring her teams keep to high compliance rates, always making sure they deliver high-quality, person-centric home care.
In her spare time, you will find her spending time with her family, especially her children and dogs. Some other favourites are reading, watching films and going to the theatre.
Amanda started her journey in care over 8 years ago starting as a Care Assistant and she is now our Coordinator. While she takes ownership of Ayrshire & Glasgow South, she often spends time helping with our Edinburgh office.
She loves working in the sector as every day is different and being able to help people remain in their own homes surrounded by their home comforts is always extremely rewarding.
In her own time, you'll find her spending time with family and her 3 dogs or she'll have her head buried in a book.
Diane emigrated to Scotland in 2018 from South Africa. She joined the Bluebird Care team as a Care Assistant and still says it was one of the best decisions of her life. Over her time with us, she has progressed from Care Assistant to Mentor to Support Care Supervisor. She is now a Care Supervisor supporting our customers and leading our Glasgow South team. Whilst her focus is Glasgow South, she still supports our Ayrshire and Edinburgh offices.
Whilst the care sector can be sometimes difficult, Diane describes it as one of the most rewarding as you're able to touch so many people's lives for the better.
Diane loves to travel and learn about different cultures; she has travelled extensively throughout sub-Saharan Africa and North America and is now looking to explore Europe in her free time.
