Intermittent visits had stopped working for her. It's ok. The cover carer after the first rotation was exceptional - but sadly not available for more than temporary cover. Expensive, but necessary.

Trust, trusting, trustworthy... Bluebird (Twickenham) have, via their wonderful carers allowed us to have trust in them, be trusting of their abilities and know that, they are all trustworthy. Now that should be enough but, Maria, Jisna, Lourdina, Joyce, Dinushi, Ramona, Kanan, Naz, Kate, Kamala, Nana, Tunde, Sheela, Chizoba, Soumya and Shimrandeep (and probably a few others I can't recall) have all been so caring and kind to my Mum and have enabled us to keep Mum at home for which I will always be so grateful. The saying goes 'be grateful for the time you have with your parents' but, we are also thankful for the time my parent has with Bluebird. Bluebird have been coming over the last 6 months to help my husband who is increasingly disabled. They are so well trained and pleasant to have coming here - not only do they do everything to help my husband but when there's time they do some ironing to help me as well. Thank you Bluebirds.

Recently she had a further bleed and after a week in hospital returned home quite weak. Bluebird were able to provide one of her regular carers to live in for a week. The care was professional at every level, we were kept updated and regular assessments on her progress given. The carer was observant with attention to detail, from calling on medical help to deal with an infection to raising the chair level, cooking favourite meals, providing conversation, encouragement and reassurance.

She was bedridden for 2 months and had a live in carer, looking after her day and night.
This level of care was essential as she was unable to do anything for herself and it also allowed her to stay in her own home whilst she recovered.
The care give was of an exceptional level and highly professional standards.

The carers who looked after me for two weeks were well qualified and experienced. They were friendly, efficient, sensitive to requirements and always punctual. The back-up admin and supervision were also good.

Bluebird responded straight away to our request for carers to provide company to my mum at home who is living with dementia. The carers and office team are professionals and work together to respond to changing needs as they arise. A year and a half later we still have the same two carers who initially visited along with others mum has come to know. They are very kind and have become an invaluable part of daily life. We are now looking at live-in care options with Bluebird. So thankful that mum is being supported to continue doing the things she enjoys and to remain living in her own home.

From the moment i contacted Bluebird they were so efficient and quickly set up the care i needed for my husband. This was 24 hour care and everything worked so well. All the carers were punctual and helpful and in particular in the last week of his life the carer who was there every day and attended with compassion all the complex needs of my husband was everything i could have wished for and helped me through this sad week. Another carer looked after him at night and was there to hold his hand and calm him down when he got restive They were a team and i cannot thank them enough..

After university he worked for an NGO in New Delhi, using his law degree to change government policy and improve lives. This passion for transformative change permeates his operation of Bluebird Care Richmond & Twickenham. “We are changing lives for the better, providing local residents the opportunity to create their very best in-home support structure, delivered by Bluebirds. Requiring care and support can make one feel quite vulnerable. Our aim is to make choosing care an empowering moment, one that unlocks positive outcomes with the ultimate goal of remaining safe and happy at home.”
With his first foray into arranging care for a family member ending in disappointment, Peter notes, “Our most important ethos is to provide professional care that keeps each customer at the heart of their service… care that we would be happy for our own families to receive. Delivering a consistently compassionate, highly skilled, professional service is why two-thirds of our new customers come to us via personal recommendation.”
Peter and his young family enjoy exploring the borough with outings including Kew Gardens in the summer and ice skating at Hampton Court Palace in the winter.
Insisting his colleagues are trained beyond industry standard, each Care Assistant is encouraged to develop specialisms ranging from dementia and post-op rehabilitation to Parkinson’s, MND, complex care, challenging behaviour, palliative care and nutrition and hydration. “Our aim is to match each customer to their ideal Care Assistants by personality and expertise. Whilst our customers are at the centre of what we do, our Bluebirds are the heartbeat of the company - their kindness, compassion, and professionalism set us apart.”
As the owner of three Bluebird Care offices across London and the South West, Tim can’t imagine working in any other industry. “It’s an unbeatable feeling, being involved in a local business that changes lives. My father is now receiving live-in care which has been life-changing so I am passionate about providing this service to Richmond and Twickenham residents.”

Justyna joined Bluebird Care in August 2024. A qualified midwife, Justyna has over seven years’ experience in health and social care having worked in both nursing homes and home care services. With a passion to provide compassionate, high-quality care, Justyna focuses on ensuring both her customers and care teams receive unrivalled levels of support. She is dedicated to ensuring her customers thrive through receiving highly personalised care that delivers positive outcomes, and her team are empowered and recognised for their contribution. As the Registered Manager of Bluebird Care in Richmond and Twickenham, Justyna is responsible for managing, developing and supporting the branches exceptional care team, whilst ensuring high standards of service, quality and compliance. Sarah joined Bluebird care in 2022 as a Care Assistant to gain practical hands-on experience whilst studying for a HND in Health and Social Care. She quickly progressed within the branch, becoming a Senior Carer and later was promoted to Lead Customer Care Manager whilst also working towards her NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care Management. As Lead Customer Care Manager, Sarah for ensuring an exceptional customer experience, including conducting customer assessments, creating and reviewing care and support plans to ensure they meet an individual’s needs. She provides hands-on support to customers and their families so that positive outcomes are achieved, and open communication is maintained. Prior to embarking on her career in care, Sarah was a beauty therapist but wanted to do something more meaningful and has been focused on furthering her professional development and career at Bluebird Care
Sylwia joined Bluebird Care in 2009, having worked in a luxury care home setting managing a dementia unit, where she gained profound insights into the tough decisions families face when arranging long term care. This sparked a passion for providing families with purposeful guidance to make the right decisions about care for a loved one. She firmly believes that people can receive the care they need in the comfort of their own homes. With a degree in Tourism and Recreation, Sylwia wanted to develop her skills in care and completed the NVQ level 4 in Health and Social Care. Now as Care Development Lead for Richmond and Twickenham, Sylwia is responsible for managing all new customer enquiries, ensuring that those looking for care get information, guidance and support to make the right care decision.
