Bluebird provided 2 carers to look after my 97 year old mother after her stroke. Their response was fast, efficient, flexible and just what was needed. The carers were caring, professional, easy going, smiley, personable, reassuring, compassionate - couldn't be better. No complaints. Very good value.

I would like to thank you all so much for helping us when our mother needed emergency care suddenly. Your office team stepped in at the last minute, and sorted out care for my mother even though it was out of office hours. The carer came early in the morning, and looked after my mother efficiently and with smiles! My mother loved her day with your carers - they were both so sweet to her, and looked after her perfectly. We will definitely recommend your service, and will be requesting help from you again in the future.

All the girls who came to the house originally three times a day were unfailingly helpful and I kind. I often had not enough for them to do so I sent them away! They usually arrived more or less on time which was so important to me, not that I have other things to actually do. I imagine the travelling to be hard as they seem to come from quite some distances, and there isn't time arranged for the travelling time for them to be able to keep to the required appointments.

Bluebird Twickenham provides weekly care for my mother, and I cannot praise them highly enough. From the start, their professionalism, kindness, and reliability have been outstanding. The carers are compassionate, attentive, and always go above and beyond to ensure my mother is comfortable and well cared for.

One of the things I appreciate most is the consistency of care. My mother has formed a great bond with her regular carers, which makes a real difference in her well-being. They treat her with dignity and respect, taking the time to understand her needs and preferences.

The office team is also fantastic - communication is excellent, and they are always responsive and accommodating. It gives me great peace of mind knowing my mother is in such capable and caring hands.

I highly recommend Bluebird Twickenham to anyone looking for compassionate, high-quality care. Their dedication and kindness have truly made a difference in my mother's life.

Having been in the planning stage for over a year, and after 3 fruitful meetings with Bluebird, My Parents and Siblings took the plunge and introduced Bluebird carers on a 3 day a week 3 hours a day basis, in my Parents home, to help with Shopping, cleaning, cooking, bed making, paperwork, walks to the local shops and general companionship . Great care was taken in both the pre planning stages and eventual introduction of the Carers Manager, and then the two Carers themselves who are now in weekly attendance.
Both Carers have exactly the attributes we discussed which are pertinent to our Parents specific needs, they have integrated within my Parents life very easily and with the minimum of fuss and stress.
Within a short period of time, both my Parents and Siblings are greatly benefitting from the Carers help and indeed look forward to their regular visits.

Special thanks to the care development lead, the lead customer care manager and our Carers for making the process stress and pain free!

We arranged care for our mother with Bluebird Care. From the first consultation to the pre-start meeting and now five weeks into the care, it's clear that Bluebird's staff genuinely care and understand her needs. They aim to keep a consistent carer contact who is brilliant and are proactive in providing updates and advice. Their technology platforms allow us to monitor the results of the daily visits.

I highly recommend Bluebird. In fact, we now realise we should have started several months ago as we can see a significant and positive change in my mother's quality of life. Thank you to all the team!

My partner was in the care of Bluebird Carers for over 4 years.
Living partly in Germany I needed to have an agency which took care of my partner during my absence.
I can highly recommend Bluebird Care.
The people involved with Bluebird Care are very competent, friendly and ever so helpful.
Over the years a lot of extra duties needed to be organised within minutes and it was a great relief for me to know that my partner was in such good hands.
(Like him having a fall, visits to hospitals, general household duties or other events).
Every person who needs to be cared for will be assessed and an explicit care plan with relatives and carers will be arranged.
Regular check-ups are happening to guarantee that the care plan is up to date.
All carers who looked after my partner over the years were emphatic and enjoyed their job and the work with elderly people.
I can't thank them enough.
You have done a great job and sure will do in the future.

Thanks a million.

Peter’s first experience of arranging care was fraught and riddled with anxiety. “Finding care at short notice and trying to work with companies with no customer service ethos was frustrating. That’s when I thought there must be a better way!” Fast forward to 2023, and with over a decade of industry experience, Peter owns and manages three London-based Bluebird Care offices.

After university, he worked for an NGO in New Delhi, using his law degree to change government policy and improve lives. This passion for transformative change permeates his operation of Bluebird Care Richmond & Twickenham. “We are changing lives for the better, providing local residents the opportunity to create their very best in-home support structure, delivered by Bluebirds. Requiring care and support can make one feel quite vulnerable. We aim to make choosing care an empowering moment, one that unlocks positive outcomes with the ultimate goal of remaining safe and happy at home.”

With his first foray into arranging care for a family member ending in disappointment, Peter notes, “Our most important ethos is to provide professional care that keeps each customer at the heart of their service… care that we would be happy for our own families to receive. Delivering a consistently compassionate, highly skilled, professional service is why two-thirds of our new customers come to us via personal recommendation.”

Peter and his young family enjoy exploring the borough with outings including Kew Gardens in the summer and ice skating at Hampton Court Palace in the winter.

Tim Rowland-Jones
Tim’s wealth of experience in business management informs his oversight of Bluebird Care Richmond & Twickenham. Having helmed a multi-channel retail business before opening his first Bluebird Care office, Tim says, “I don’t think many people dream of running a home care company… I certainly didn’t! But when my grandfather’s dementia worsened, I became acutely aware of the need for exceptional, empathetic care. This lived experience pushed me to open my first Bluebird Care office and set the high standards we’ve maintained for over a decade.”

Insisting his colleagues are trained beyond industry standard, each Care Assistant is encouraged to develop specialisms ranging from dementia and post-op rehabilitation to Parkinson’s, MND, complex care, challenging behaviour, palliative care and nutrition and hydration. “We aim to match each customer to their ideal Care Assistants by personality and expertise. Whilst our customers are at the centre of what we do, our Bluebirds are the heartbeat of the company - their kindness, compassion, and professionalism set us apart.”

As the owner of three Bluebird Care offices across London and the South West, Tim can’t imagine working in any other industry. “It’s an unbeatable feeling, being involved in a local business that changes lives. My father is now receiving live-in care, which has been life-changing, so I am passionate about providing this service to Richmond and Twickenham residents.”

Spotting the Richmond Park deer has become a favourite pastime of Tim’s young family, as has feeding the ducks on Barnes Pond.
