Bluebird Care is invaluable in allowing my aunt to remain living in her home. She has dementia and needs help cooking and with daily tasks. Her main carer is excellent at watching out for changes in her medication and anything that needs to be altered. The whole team has been very patient and considerate to my aunt and any difficulties are resolved quickly and thoughtfully.

We had two visits from the coordinator to discuss my mother's needs and gain an insight into her interests and lifestyle.
Then we had a visit from the carer they had chosen to support my mother so that they could meet informally beforehand.
Whilst away, everything went very smoothly and I know the carer was well supported by Bluebird Care both by a visit and by phone.

I have found the Carers from Bluebird Care to be efficient, and timely in their visits and to have all the skills needed to assist me, in order that I can remain in my own home. My present carer is able to complete the necessary tasks and chat with me about anything I wish to chat about. I am never made to feel a nuisance if I have a hissy fit about something that has driven me nuts, usually the computer not doing what I want. If I need to contact the office, I have a choice of telephone or email, and I always receive a timely response to my questions. All in all a very efficient organisation.

Mum has had daily visits from Bluebird Care since 2019, and I have been very happy with the care provided. Bluebird tries to ensure that Mum has the same carers most of the time, so they get to know her and her routines. They always make time to have a little chat with her in addition to completing the daily tasks. It gives me great peace of mind in the mornings to be able to see from the online system that Mum is OK and has had her medication. They are also very good at picking up on any changes in her health and reporting concerns. The office staff are always friendly, efficient, helpful and communication is good. I was particularly impressed with the way Bluebird managed during the Covid restrictions, doing a great job ensuring clients and staff were safe and sending weekly, informative updates about the local situation. I feel that Bluebird genuinely care about clients and their families and does their best to help people live independently.

Continuity and reliability have been invaluable Bluebird strengths over the last year, especially given the unprecedented problems of the coronavirus pandemic. Early on they found a main carer who tuned in to my mother's needs and provides reliable, good quality, thoughtful care. When the main carer is off, Bluebird generally allocates from a group of carers my mother has already met. The care has been reliable, timely, consistent and caring throughout; unforeseen problems are dealt with efficiently by the out-of-hours team. The account manager has also been with us throughout, responsive and supportive. She and the office team ensure good communication and good management. My mother could not have continued living alone without Bluebird. On the basis of our experience to date, we are pleased to recommend the Richmond Bluebird office.

The team are very friendly and helpful and understand the needs of my Mum. They also understand that her needs change and so can adapt the care plan at short notice. After university, he worked for an NGO in New Delhi, using his law degree to change government policy and improve lives. This passion for transformative change permeates his operation of Bluebird Care Richmond & Twickenham. “We are changing lives for the better, providing local residents the opportunity to create their very best in-home support structure, delivered by Bluebirds. Requiring care and support can make one feel quite vulnerable. We aim to make choosing care an empowering moment, one that unlocks positive outcomes with the ultimate goal of remaining safe and happy at home.”
With his first foray into arranging care for a family member ending in disappointment, Peter notes, “Our most important ethos is to provide professional care that keeps each customer at the heart of their service… care that we would be happy for our own families to receive. Delivering a consistently compassionate, highly skilled, professional service is why two-thirds of our new customers come to us via personal recommendation.”
Peter and his young family enjoy exploring the borough with outings including Kew Gardens in the summer and ice skating at Hampton Court Palace in the winter.
Insisting his colleagues are trained beyond industry standard, each Care Assistant is encouraged to develop specialisms ranging from dementia and post-op rehabilitation to Parkinson’s, MND, complex care, challenging behaviour, palliative care and nutrition and hydration. “We aim to match each customer to their ideal Care Assistants by personality and expertise. Whilst our customers are at the centre of what we do, our Bluebirds are the heartbeat of the company - their kindness, compassion, and professionalism set us apart.”
As the owner of three Bluebird Care offices across London and the South West, Tim can’t imagine working in any other industry. “It’s an unbeatable feeling, being involved in a local business that changes lives. My father is now receiving live-in care, which has been life-changing, so I am passionate about providing this service to Richmond and Twickenham residents.”

Sarah joined Bluebird Care in 2022 as a Care Assistant to gain practical hands-on experience whilst studying for an HND in Health and Social Care. She quickly progressed within the branch, becoming a Senior Carer and later was promoted to Lead Customer Care Manager whilst also working towards her NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care Management. As Lead Customer Care Manager, Sarah for ensuring an exceptional customer experience, including conducting customer assessments, creating and reviewing care and support plans to ensure they meet an individual’s needs. She provides hands-on support to customers and their families so that positive outcomes are achieved, and open communication is maintained. Prior to embarking on her career in care, Sarah was a beauty therapist, but wanted to do something more meaningful and has been focused on furthering her professional development and career at Bluebird Care.
Sylwia joined Bluebird Care in 2009, having worked in a luxury care home setting, managing a dementia unit, where she gained profound insights into the tough decisions families face when arranging long-term care. This sparked a passion for providing families with purposeful guidance to make the right decisions about care for a loved one. She firmly believes that people can receive the care they need in the comfort of their own homes. With a degree in Tourism and Recreation, Sylwia wanted to develop her skills in care and completed the NVQ level 4 in Health and Social Care. Now as Care Development Lead for Richmond and Twickenham, Sylwia is responsible for managing all new customer enquiries, ensuring that those looking for care get information, guidance and support to make the right care decision. She is passionate about delivering an exceptional customer experience that has a positive impact on people’s lives. She will meet with families ahead of a service starting to understand their needs and preferences, so the right care team can be put in place and then continue to provide ongoing support to those receiving care and their families.
