All carers are professional, warm, friendly and go the extra mile.
Mum and Dad have had some difficult times, and all carers have done everything to help make their lives easier and more comfortable. Home Instead admin staff bend over backwards to accommodate last minute extra care whenever it has been needed.
Nothing is too much trouble.
We have all been really happy with the care and support from admin and carers alike.
She is 89 and lives on her own, and fiercely independent but now she realises she needs Home Instead as she is incapable of shopping or cooking and more importantly to take medication. Without Home Instead, no shopping would get done, no food prepared, and her home would be in a disgusting state. I am in lockdown and live over 2-hours away, so they are totally my lifeline to my mother, and they always have their clients comforts at the forefront.
Kept us informed.
Mum has had no complaints whatsoever, and she does love to complain!
I feel that Mum is in great hands.
Great service. The carer taking care of my husband did a great job, and that helped me enormously as I was very stressed at the time. Service provided was short as my husband, who suffers from vascular dementia, is now in a care home. The office staff are very helpful and available at all times. Highly recommend using them; as they are reliable and trustworthy, and to me personally, that means a lot.
Staff very prompt when informing me of time changes, for care visits. They kept in touch when my father was recently in hospital and liaised with hospital staff to ensure care services were available as soon as he was discharged. Care staff are very helpful during visits and also keep a watching brief on dad's general health. The admin team report any issues back to me, which is much appreciated as I live in a different part of London.
The caregivers monitor all aspects of his daily life from making sure he is up and dressed in the morning, to providing all his meals and preparing him for bed. They take him out shopping every day and keep an eye on household management issues.
Even more importantly, the caregivers are proactive in arranging and accompanying medical, dental and optician appointments.
His small team of regular caregivers are most reliable and friendly and he really enjoys their company.
This has all been a great comfort to his family who all live far away.
We contacted Home Instead after a previous care agency could not meet our needs.
From the first assessment to our last contact after my mother died and father moved into a care home, my relationship with Home Instead was always professional and personal. Although senior care is a service my family was paying for, we wanted reassurance. Home Instead was never phased by any situation, they had experience of what my sister and I were dealing with for the first time.
The carers at Home Instead showed initiative and caring. Whenever I had a concern about something, the office staff took it seriously. At times we laughed about the situation we were dealing with but I also cried on the phone when I found caring for my parents overwhelming.
Not only did Home Instead keep my parents at home, which is what they wanted and is cheaper than putting 2 elderly people in a care home, they gave my sister and me back our lives.
I wholeheartedly recommend Home Instead (Ruislip and Harrow).
Every aspect of the care that has been given to my cousin throughout the past two years has been consistently excellent. Additionally, the professional guidance that I have received in my dealing with a situation with which I had had no previous experience, has been genuinely caring and invaluable.
All the Carers provided by Home Instead were very friendly, reliable and professional. They all supported my mother whilst caring for my father and their care meant that my dad was able to stay in the family home with my mum for much longer than would otherwise have been the case.
The team were fantastic in caring for my Dad and very flexible as his needs changed daily as he deteriorated. The team often arrived at very short notice (within hours of my calls) and were a great support to me in his last days. They were able to provide shopping, basic housework as well as personal care and were always on time and friendly and helpful. We always had familiar faces and knew who was coming and when.
I know that we wouldn't have coped without them and I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs additional care and support.
I am frequently contacted with updates and information about what is going on with my relative and as I do not live near her this is invaluable.
Home Instead carers are warm, friendly, cheerful and professional.
It is a huge relief to me to know that Mum is being provided with lunch and, just as importantly, a social visit and chat on days when I can't visit her.
Very impressed that when I've called for an extra visit to cover times when Mum has been feeling unwell, that care has been provided.
Very useful logs that keep me fully informed of how Mum has been that day.
Excellent, good management. Friendly, comfortable with all the staff.
They are always punctual, courteous, efficient and professional.
I have recommended Home Instead to two friends locally who are also very happy with the service.
I have also been very impressed by the management and administration side of Home Instead. All my dealings with the local Ruislip office have been very positive.
All our carers are friendly and helpful and always arrive on time and complete our needs. I would recommend this company to my friends and family.
Home Instead were easy to deal with and always put the client first. Mum's main carer was excellent and nothing was too much to ensure Mum was comfortable.
When Mum needed some help at home just over a year ago I rang several of the providers in the area. Home Instead Ruislip immediately stood out when telephone contact was articulate and straightforward. That impression was endorsed by a face to face meeting which was business-like but empathetic. Throughout my dealings with the organisation, they have done whatever they have committed to, and have always been available to discuss any changes. In a crisis, the team acted with utmost professionalism.
My husband was a very independent man now reaching the end stage of a difficult illness. He wished to die at home and to make this happen we needed support. Home Instead developed an excellent relationship with him enabling him to accept personal care and look forward to their visits. The carers were always respectful and very competent but also provided some fun and laughter in a difficult time. They did exactly as I asked in making me aware when they noticed something that needed a doctors advice. When I needed to increase the care visits and do this urgently so my husband could come home from hospital the management made this happen. Management and carers were supportive to me and continued their sensitive care until my husband died.
My Mother was cared for by Home Instead from when my father passed away in 2013 until the end of August 2017 when we took the decision to move Mum to a care home. Throughout that time the carers provided really took their time to look after Mum and I know she appreciated it greatly. For my part, I was confident that Mum was in safe hands at all times. I can't recommend Home Instead highly enough.
We are very grateful for the high quality of care received from Home Instead. The carers were understanding and supportive and particularly sensitive to my wife's needs. She developed confidence and trust in them, with their gentle and friendly approach, as they helped and encouraged her with various tasks in the home. This released me to do other things as I knew that my wife was safe with them and they were concerned to do the best for her.
