Overall Experience

Firstly I must say the review period extends over the last 7 years not just this August, as only option available. We have so pleased by the way Meridian Care have looked after mum, always helpful from last minute hospital trips to ' I forgot to add something to my shopping list' where they would drop

by with something enroute to another client of pop in when passing. The care provided is quite outstanding giving us the knowledge that someone is looking out for mum when we are not about. Sometimes all that is needed is a chat to raise her spirits, as a social person the reduction of Sheltered Housing Plus to basic has had a detrimental affect on mum so the contact has been so important. The carers have been exceptional but also the back room staff, David, Gail and Leon have always been helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Mum hasnt been well recently and had had to move to a care home. Thank you all for your help and kindness!!

I am writing as a friend of the client over fifty years who I, (and at an earlier stage, my wife), visited regularly during the months that care was provided, up to the time of the client's death.
For most of the final year of the client's life, the carers came three times a day and I therefore started

to inform them in advance of the date and approximate time I proposed to visit. It worked out that carers were present during some, and occasionally, all of the visiting time.

The Meridian staff I met, both in the client's home and in the Office, were very professional, kind, helpful and friendly. There was just one occasion when a carer attempted to prevent my visit on the grounds that the client would not know me. The client did recognise me and I was permitted to remain. Though a little abrupt, I am sure this carer was only acting as they thought best for the client.

Overall, though friend not family, I have nothing but praise for Meridian Care at all levels.

Overall Experience

Meridian looked after my mother during the final few years of her life. They always showed genuine care and compassion not just to her but also to us when we visited. They dealt with her with humour and always with thoughtfulness. They enabled her to stay in her own home where she was happiest and

most relaxed.
The office staff are friendly and were always approachable. They contacted us whenever there was something to be concerned about. I was especially grateful for the sensitive way they kept us informed during the final week of her life.
In short I highly recommend them not only for the care they give to your loved one but also to you.

Overall Experience

I have just terminated my contract with Meridian because I am now able to care for myself so this is a review of the 4 months or so I had using their services. I met only politeness and consideration from all and a willingness on the part of the carers who came to my house to fulfil any task I asked

of them. All were cheerful and very obliging.
My only slight niggle is that I saw many carers in the short period I used the service and some consistency in who came would have been appreciated by me. I am not sure whether it was my fault that this happened but I hope I wasn't too demanding.
Overall, Meridian provided a very useful and very good service for me as I came to terms with my changed lifestyle.

Meridian Care provided excellent care for my wife for over 7 years. The careers went above and beyond to help and became our friends. The team met all the requirements that my wife needed, nothing was ever too much trouble they were very helpful, kept us informed of any changes on the day and I cannot

recommend them more highly and definitely the main carer!

Overall Experience

The care by the staff of Meridian Care was invaluable to the service user as it enabled her to remain living in her own home until her passing as she had wished. They looked after her with such care and thoughtfulness over the past decade and the service user was so happy and comfortable in their care.

It is not only the carers themselves but the office staff are extremely friendly and most helpful at all times. An excellent service all round, highly recommended.

Overall Experience

A friend recommended Meridian Care to me when my mum needed some support at home and KCC social services were unable to assist. I'm so glad that I chose Meridian and that they were happy to accommodate Mum, even though she only needed a small amount of help. Over time, Mum could manage more easily by

herself and was fiercely independent so in a way didn't really need a visit at all. However, the fact that she was happy to carry on, albeit only once a week, is testament to the great team and kind care staff and I know she had become really quite fond of a couple of the lovely ladies that used to call round. My amazing mum sadly passed away on 15th March this year so we won't be needing Meridian's services any longer. One of the staff members has sent me the most lovely message which has meant a lot. I would not hesitate in recommending them if you have found yourself in the position of needing some extra help, should a loved one wish to live independently in their own home as long as they can.

Dad was treated with care and dignity. A carer always turned up, he wasn't let down once in 13 months. If there were any problems they contacted us to let us know. The office was very helpful. Dad started with 30 minutes a day and it was increased over the 13 months to an hour a day as he found it difficult

to manage things. The office staff did all they could to implement this as soon as possible.

Overall Experience

Meridian Community Care looked after my grandma very well. Especially the carer who went above and beyond, she always stayed for a chat and never left without making sure everything was completed and Grandma was safe and happy.
Some weekend carers would only pop in and stay for 10 minutes or so but

I understand these are busier times.
I would recommend this company and definitely the main carer!

My late wife was with Meridian from Oct 2018 until end of August 2023 - during this time, she received excellent care. The carers were always there, when needed, backed up a great team in the office. I can recommend this company to look after your loved ones, when help is needed.

Overall Experience

Our carers for my husband were faultless. They became our friends our much-needed support and provided my husband with real loving care for the weeks he was here at home on end-of-life care. They provided me with much-needed support and concerned care when it was needed most. They were never less than

good-humoured and gave us both smiles and laughter on many occasions. We were both treated with respect and my husband with dignity during the time they provided him with personal care, comfort and attention, encouraging him to eat and drink, as well as the physical attention needed.
The management of my husband's care was efficient, with attention to detail and proper review so it was carried out without problems or issues.
I can only end by saying your clients are lucky to have you looking after them.

Meridian Care looked after my father until he went into a residential home earlier this month and I would like to thank them for all they did for him. They initially came out to do an assessment on him and thereafter a member of their team came out daily. His main carer and was very understanding and

patient with my father and I cannot thank him enough. Other carers covered his days off or holidays and they were very good too. My father could be moody at times and would refuse a wash very frequently but he was very good with him. I had had previous experience with another carer company for my mother and the difference with Meridian was the continuity of the same carer as much as possible. I also found I was able to speak with the office of Meridian and the staff there were very helpful and knew sufficient information about Dad to always help me and to put my mind at rest. I would highly recommend Meridian Care.

Overall Experience

The service we received from the team at Meridian Care was excellent from the first call to them arranging care for my father until he went into hospital and the care that they were providing finished. However, that did not stop contacting us to see how our father was progressing until he passed away.

The team met all the requirements that my father needed at that time, they were very helpful, kept us informed of any developments on the day and I cannot recommend them more highly. Well done Meridian Care and thank you.

Overall Experience

Mum has been cared for by Meridian for two years. Unfortunately, her condition means she now needs to move into a nursing home for 24-hour care.
Meridian's teams were all very kind and patient with mum despite some quite challenging behaviour on occasions.
We can't thank Meridian enough for their

help and support. They are in a class of their own. Highly recommended.

The service provided by Meridian Care over the last few years, first to my father and later to my mother, has been excellent. The staff have been caring and efficient in meeting my parent's needs. Overall Experience

Because of the way things were done when I was discharged from hospital, Meridian was the third company (from 2021) and became my permanent care provider.
I have found Meridian's approach to my care encouraging, respectful, understanding and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble within reason, even

if it's just a 10-minute chat because they are aware that I am feeling down.
I realise that I will not need them forever but because of their professional way of treating me, they have made this transitional period far easier for me to cope with.
