Rowan House Domiciliary Care have been supporting my father in his own home for nearly three years. The staff are incredibly kind, reliable and trustworthy. He has enjoyed their visits and all of the staff have treated my father with the utmost kindness. The manager is very knowledgeable, is easy to
speak to and resolves any anxieties speedily and effectively. I have the utmost confidence in recommending Rowan House as I have always found them to be excellent care providers. The staff are wonderful!

Rowan House Carers have been visiting my father, who has Alzheimer's, on a daily basis for nearly a year now in his own home where he feels safe and comfortable - without their visits, he wouldn't be able to stay there. The 'girls' look after him well, and he enjoys their visits; they treat him with
dignity and are friendly with him, making allowances when he is too tired to get up! Their daily reports help us to pick up early on any health issues, and we know what to expect when we visit each day.
The care manager is very helpful and always tries to accommodate any changes or additions to the care package.
A good team effort - thank you!

We moved to our present location and as part of this, we had to change an existing care plan for my sister who has severe learning disabilities, as the existing provider of same was unable to continue with the established arrangements. After much research and contact with various care agencies, we were
very pleased to make contact with the team at Rowan House - from the initial enquiry all the way through to my sister establishing personal relationships with those members of staff who visit and provide the care. We continue to be very pleased with how things are going. The additional care, which complements that provided by the immediate family, makes a real difference to/for my sister and those around her.

In the eight months that Rowan House have been doing seven days a week care for my dad, they haven’t put a foot wrong. Every carer who has visited treats him with kindness and respect, and the level of service offered is excellent.
The Care Manager is easy to access and is very approachable.
My
dad has never been happier with his care package.

Mum has early-stage Alzheimer’s and lives alone in her own home. Rowan House have been providing home visits for a while now, which gives us great peace of mind and allows mum to continue to live in the place that is best for her at present. All the carers are lovely, and there is never a problem on
the occasions that we need to schedule an extra visit. For us, it’s a priceless service, without which we would not be able to cope.

I am delighted to find that your staff almost always arrive on time, but phone if they are going to be late. This is very important to me and my husband.
The physical care given to my husband is excellent, although he doesn't speak, they make an effort to communicate with him.
They don't rush him
and are kind to him. They notice changes in his demeanour or ability.

The service my mother received from Rowan House has been exemplary from the beginning (March 21) to the end (October 21). The staff are extremely well trained and sympathetic to all my mother's care needs. On many occasions, they have gone the extra mile. The management were always available if required
and kept an open dialogue throughout my mother's care process. A truly well trained and varied company. Thank you for looking after our mother so well. "Rowan House - special people".

This company, and its employees, gave my husband exemplary and very loving care for the last years of his life. He suffered from late-onset Alzheimers and for, at least, the last 3-4 years has been doubly incontinent. All the carers dealt with this problem with great efficiency and understanding. Without
this support, I could never have kept him home until his death. They were always punctual and I never doubted, for one moment, that they wouldn't be there for him and me.

I was extremely impressed with the kindness and care that all the carers showed to my mother and our family. They were always punctual, professional and treated my mother with dignity. I have been using Rowan House for meals on wheels for 4 years. It's ideal when you are living on your own and you don't cook. Service is good, I can't thank them enough.

The care and kindness I receive from all my carers is excellent and always on time on all visits. Before they leave my visits, the rooms are left clean and tidy. I am very disabled and go to dialysis three times a week by ambulance. If I need the carer outside their normal hours, they attend to me always.

Rowan House has been supplying lunches for mum since June 2019. She has said that she enjoys most of the meals but mum can be a bit “picky” at times, she especially enjoys the desserts. The lunches are an excellent value for money, a cooked main meal and a dessert. The staff are always very helpful
and friendly, nothing seems to be too much trouble.

Carers come on Saturday mornings to shower client and help her dress. There are two regular carers and both are friendly, polite and very caring. Giving time to chat to client after they have made her a coffee.

My husband, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease, receives domiciliary care 4 mornings and 4 lunchtimes each week. The team of Carers are unfailingly polite, friendly and respective of my husband's care needs. They are also very supportive to me. They fulfil their care tasks extremely well and I have
never had cause for complaint.
The agreed care plan is well monitored and managed by the company. Any concerns the Carers may have regarding any potential safety risks are also brought to my attention and mutually acted upon.

Katie Gardner

Job Title: Domiciliary Manager Joined: 2012

Katie has worked for Rowan House for over 10 years. Katie worked as a domiciliary carer for many years where she gained a wealth of hands-on care experience. In 2022 Katie carried out an administrative role in the domiciliary office, providing support for the manager.
The domiciliary manager position became available in late 2022 and Katie was the obvious choice for the role. Katie has a level 5 diploma in Leadership and management in Adult Care. Katie is conscientious and hard-working and is growing the domiciliary business with a great team of staff.

Jess

Jess Grabham

Job Title: Domiciliary Care Co-ordinator Joined: 2021

Jess joined the Rowan House Domiciliary Care Team in 2021 as a Carer, bringing with her over 10 years of hands-on experience in the care sector, along with a range of relevant qualifications. Jess's knowledge and dedication quickly made her a valued member of the team.


In July 2024, Jess transitioned into the role of Administrative Assistant within the office team, where she continued to demonstrate her strong work ethic and in-depth understanding of the care environment.


By July 2025, the position of Domiciliary Care Coordinator became available, and Jess was the clear and natural choice for the role. She brings a wealth of experience and insight to the office, supporting both staff and clients with professionalism and care. Jess is a key asset to the team and plays an integral role in assisting the Domiciliary Care Manager with the day-to-day running of the service.

Sacha

Sacha Nelson

Job Title: Administrative Assistant Joined: 2024

Sacha is the newest member of the Rowan House Domiciliary Office team. She originally joined the Rowan House Domiciliary Care Team as a Carer in January 2024, consistently demonstrating kindness, compassion, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality care.


With previous experience in administrative roles, Sacha successfully transitioned into the position of Administrative Assistant when the new domiciliary office opened in 2025. She has integrated so well into the continually growing team and quickly proven herself to be a valuable asset.


Sacha is known for her caring nature, professionalism, and strong work ethic, making her a welcome and trusted member of the office team.
