Crossroads carers assist my mother with all personal care, with assisting mom to wash ,dress mouth care this helps my mother to keep her independents , carers also do afternoon sits while her family have breaks, this is a great peace of mind for her family,

The carers are always professional and reliable, and find they are punctual in their time keeping, their communication is good with keeping family updated with any changes in mom's health ,mood or incidents.

We really couldn't look after mom at home without Crossroads Care.

I had Crossroads Caring for Carers recommended to me when I first needed to find care. I have not been disappointed with that recommendation. The staff are always helpful and willing to listen to and act on requests that I make. The App-based reporting system, completed after each visit is most helpful and helps put my mind at ease, especially as i live some distance from the client.

Reply from Michelle Oseland, Registered Care Manager at Crossroads (Sandwell)

I have a carer every Friday evening for 2 hours for my Mom. This gives me a chance to get out once a week.
Both my Mom & myself have got to know the carer & have complete faith & trust in her ability to look after Mom.

It's a great service & I would struggle without it.

The sitting service for my husband was organised extremely well with professionalism from all involved from Adult services the Carers hub and Crossroads. All involved including the sitter were very kind, helpful, thoughtful and caring. It made a big difference to me being a 24 hour carer for 3 years and having been stressed and depressed for the last 8 months. I was able to go out and have time to myself knowing my husband was safe at home with the carer. I thoroughly recommend them to all in need of help.

Booking respite care was stress-free and every date and time requested was available except one where a mutually acceptable alternative was easily found..
There was an initial home visit which was extremely well handled and useful.
The carers (two were experenced) were well trained, skilful and sympathetic.
My wife was initially nervous about a stranger coming into our home but soon struck up a good friendship.

Would have no hesitation about using the service again if the local authority provided the funding or would self-fund if there was an essential reason.
