The care company were very prompt at providing the live-in carer when contacted. There were initial hiccups at getting a 'good match' but that was resolved quickly. (It was lovely that Mum could stay in her own home which she was adamant about for roughly the same cost as a good quality care home).

Unfortunately, she was too demanding at night to allow the live-in carer to get enough sleep so an extra 'awake' cover was needed. This trebled the cost which made Mum very angry. This exhibited itself in even worse sleepless nights. During all this, the carers were very patient and did a wonderful job but Mum decided to try the local care home. She now appreciates the care she had in her own home.

Overall I cannot fault the service given. Not one person I came into contact with was ever other than supportive, gentle and patient, both in the early days when it was simply I have a weel to was my mother, and then in her final days when it was four visits a day. They not only looked after my mother but me as well. As my mother's mental health declined along with her physical health, she became more difficult, which they responded to with unfailing gentleness. Other plus parts - they used the same three carers until the final days, so they knew my mum well. Delays in arriving were notified. One of the owners does ad hoc care visits herself, she laughs at being told to go hang herself by Mom.

Having encountered appalling 'caring' in my own town, I was not sure what to expect, but from the first, The Care Company staff were; friendly, courteous, caring, efficient, thoughtful, helpful and cooperative as individuals and in their teams.
I can't speak highly enough of the kindness they showed my father and me, being sensitive to the distance I had to travel to be there.

I am so grateful to them for making up for the deficiencies elsewhere in the 'system' and for making Dad's last days comfortable, safe and happy. Bless you all.

I have been really pleased with the service the company provides. People are very approachable and understanding. I think its great to have the carers stick to their full 1/2 hour and over if necessary. They have all been kind to my brother who has been ill and that includes the office staff. So i'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all.

We were supported in every way and we were able to be with my husband at all times it was a very valuable time which we will never forget. Thank you so much.

We chose the Care Company to provide a care package for my father to enable him to return home for the last weeks of his life. Having contacted several agencies I was impressed by the attitude of the first person I spoke to as they were interested in my father’s needs rather than how we were intending to pay for the care.

The carers were friendly, sympathetic and skilled; they appeared to be well trained and have the necessary expertise to assure my husband and myself of their understanding. I was impressed that they took the time and trouble to get to know him as a person, his likes, dislikes and views. The carers also took time to support me. The quality of their practice ensured that his dignity was preserved up to the time of his death.

My father received help with his care from The Care Company SW Ltd as he became increasingly poorly with prostate cancer over a two year period. During this time the agency provided my father with excellent care and support adapting well to his changing needs and managing to provide a continuity of care with familiar carers (who dad became very fond of) despite a house move halfway through the care period. This allowed him to live as an independent as possible in Kingsbridge area he loved until he returned to spend the final 6 weeks of his life with his family in Herefordshire aided by carers from the local St Michaels Hospice.

Friendly, professional and understanding of my mother's needs. The carer was so kind and not at all patronising towards my mother. I felt completely at ease leaving my mother in their care. There was a little mix up over the start time, however, the care provided more than made up for this.

I would certainly use this company again if and when needed as I found my mother happy and healthy on my return.

My mother has been benefitting from The Care Company (SW) Ltd for more than two years. Without them, it would have been impossible for our mother to live in our family home where she holds all her memories. The care provided to her has always been exceptional, putting her well-being above all else. We have experienced other care companies but they were not up to standard. My admiration and respect to the carers of this company.

Domiciliary and living care. The Care Company have provided care for 6 1/2 years now, but the last 3 years have been very difficult as my mother has progressed into the Vascular Dementia severely.

The Care Company have been very supportive to us as a family and we can't thank them enough.

Without the carers I would not be able to stay in my own home. They are always pleasant and understanding, they listen to my problems and help where they can. They are punctual. Some areas need more training eg making a bed properly and basic hygiene in the kitchen.
