Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I look after my cousin from a distance as I do not live in Kent & am very happy with the service T&C provide to my cousin the service user and the support the office give to me when dealing with the admin side of my cousins care.
The whole team are very, friendly, professional and knowledgable in
caring for the elderly & also run a well organised business. Nothing is too much trouble & they are always there to listen, offer advice/solutions, make changes where needed & go that extra mile.
The carers are kind, hard working, experienced & positive. They are great at distracting & encouraging. They are quick to recognise when things aren't right & report back to the office or get medical support. They use an app called to record their visits & I can see how my cousin is and how each visit went.,They do repeat prescriptions /administering medicine,
prepare /cook food, do all the washing, housework and weekly shopping. They also take to appointments. It's an excellent service.

Town & Country Homecare have provided me with an excellent, flexible and responsive personal care service. Office telephones have been answered quickly and helpfully (even out of hours) and every effort made to resolve any problems.
The timing of visits is particularly important to me to enable me
to arrange my mealtimes. Late changes have occasionally caught me out, but access to the Company's rostering app allows me to check the latest position and I now do this as near as possible to the forecast time.
The individual carers I have experienced have been professional but friendly, respectful, considerate, and focused on my requirements and well-being. It has been a pleasure to welcome them into my home. I have been impressed at the way in which they remember routines and show initiative by offering to undertake tasks which they have not necessarily been asked to do (eg taking rubbish bins in and out, posting a letter, etc).

Carers are polite and helpful. Because I am bed bound I really appreciate the humour most of them bring to my life.
Most of them have learned to recognise my sense of humour and this helps to cheer me up on my not so good days! I know that like most people I have my good and not so good days but they
cope!
I like it when they have time to just sit and chat with me.. I recognise that time is precious for them because of the distance they are expected to cover between calls with very little time allowed.
The office staff are also helpful when I have cause to contact them for help or advice.
I do question thee fact that they are not allowed to put a plaster on an open wound to prevent any blood leaking onto my clothes or furnishings. I have a supply of plasters available but my manual dexterity makes it hard..almost impossible for me to put them in place myself. I know that I can call the district nurse but it does seem to to be a waste of her medical skills to come to me.

Thank you for your review Carol. This is very much appreciated by us all :)Unfortunately dressing wounds is against our policies and procedures. However, our team are always happy to support you in contacting the District Nurses, should you need it.

TCH have provided my mother with a first class care service . We have found the carers , without exception, to be highly reliable , friendly and genuinely caring . The management team have been highly responsive to any requests for changes in the service provided , showing a willingness to be flexible
and adaptive to my mother's needs.
In our experience TCH is all you could wish for in a care provider .

Cannot rate this company high enough!
The carers I've had, who came and care for my son are absolutely outstanding. I have one day a week to myself and I can relax knowing he's in safe hands. Many a time I have returned home to hear laughter coming from his room, with both him and his carer watching
podcasts, films, YouTube, or just putting the world to rights.
Nothing is too much trouble and his regular carer uses her initiative when it comes to doing tasks around the house too.
I never ask her to do anything, but if he's ever resting, or sleeping, she will find herself something to do.
I find she always listens to my handovers and follows instructions which are important as his condition can change weekly.
The office are easy to contact and always helpful. If his carer is unwell they will always do their best to find a replacement, realising the importance of my respite breaks.
I have used them for many years now and would not dream of changing company.

Just wanted to say how amazing all the girls are who attend my mum. They're always so lovely, kind, caring, considerate and patient. They are a godsend to my mums needs and I, my dad and she certainly couldn't do without them!
They each always go over and above.
Even though I always thank them,
please do pass on my thanks and appreciation.
The girls in the office have been amazing as well and nothing is too much.

I wish I had found Town and Country earlier. Having had bad experiences with the two previouse companies, I was delighted with the proffesionalism and efficiency of both the management and the staff who looked after my Stepfather. The App is a godsend as it allowed me to see, on a daily basis how his
care and health was being dealt with.
Thank you again for all your help and support.

I have used the service over 10 years and found the carers generally good, trustworthy and helpful.
As I only have domestic care with shopping, posting so far, I am unable to comment any further but I appreciate the willing and cheerful service.
I think that the training they receive has improved
the service over the years.

Telephone always answered promptly and courteously. Bookings almost always honoured. No problems since email follow up instituted. Carers arrive on time they know that this is one of my requirements. Carers are unfailingly cheerful and helpful. SAE included with the bill a small gesture but appreciated.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.881)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.881) out of 10 for Town And Country Homecare is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.981 for Town And Country Homecare is calculated as follows: ( (52 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 53 Ratings = 4.981
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Town And Country Homecare is based on 9 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 4.9
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
