My cousin appreciates having a carer visiting every day. This is also a reassurance for us as her only family, who live a long distance from her. Whilst my cousin doesn't require personal care at the current time, having someone assist with morning activities is a real help. My cousin can sometimes get frustrated as some of the carers seem unable to do things in the way she likes (e.g. making the bed!), however overall, she enjoys the company afforded by a daily visit.
Home Instead have been providing a companionship service to my mum for 3 months and we have found the staff to be caring, thoughtful and friendly. I have found the app extremely helpful, especially when I was overseas for a month as I could track how everything was going and felt reassured that Mum was in safe hands. Communication has been very good too which is important.
Excellent service, all the care professionals are lovely and they look after Mum so well. It is a great relief for the family that Mum is getting kind care professionals who are helping her to stay independent in her own home.
The only time she gets upset and stressed is when her usual carer is replaced by someone new. She is showered most mornings so she feels vulnerable. I have had the pleasure of meeting some of her carers and they are always lovely to my mum and myself.
Kind and understanding care staff, though the charges have increased substantially over the last five years. Good blind awareness skills, allowing time and supporting my independence when needed. High standard of cleanliness.
Carers are really supportive and helpful, punctual and friendly. The backup team always respond to messages and keep us up to date with any developments. We have been using Home Instead for a few years now and have absolutely no issues at all.
Some of my mum's carers have gone above and beyond. Nothing is too much trouble and my mum looks forward to seeing them each day.
We receive excellent service from Home Instead, they are always on time and very caring. All that we ask Home Instead to do is done without question. My mother is nearly 97 and objects to being called 'dear' or such words. We only had to mention this to Home Instead and it's sorted. If we need something new or differently done we only have to ask. They have a very high level of care and professionalism. Also, Home Instead are consistent in terms of who they send on a daily basis which my mother appreciates - she does not like change or her routine upset. Home Instead are highly recommended.
Home Instead have been providing my mother with support since last year and their service has gone way beyond our expectations. Every single one of the carers is excellent, showing compassion and kindness, but also supporting her to maintain her dignity and independence. We have all felt so reassured knowing that they are visiting her daily and taking her to appointments when needed. Nothing is too much trouble and they have been fantastic companions as well as supporting her with personal care. The office staff are incredibly helpful, always accessible and able to respond to her changing care needs. All of our family live a considerable distance away and we would be lost without Home Instead!
Overall my brother and I are really happy with the care that is provided by Home Instead, for an hour or two a day, 6 days a week for my mother, who lives with Alzheimers. Without this care, she would be unable to continue living in her own home. On the whole, the care is excellent. There are a few little things that sometimes need rectifying but the head office is swift to resolve the matters. It is also very good to have the app which enables my brother and I to know in detail what has been occurring during the course of the carers' visits. I highly recommend Home Instead in the Clacton/Frinton/Walton area.
Very positive experience as always. Carers always arrived on time and gave feedback immediately- so important when you are at a distance from your loved one. Also, they flagged up problems that I could take immediate decisions upon.
He never moans or complains and will agree with everything that’s said to him.
My sister could not be happier with the care provided by the Home Instead team - all of them really make her feel safe, secure, and independent in her own home and she looks forward to seeing each and every one of them. It is a great weight off my mind to know that she is so well cared for every day of the week.
Home Instead have been outstanding in the care they have provided for Mum. Both the office staff and care professionals went above and beyond to make Mum's last few weeks comfortable. We have used their care services for 4 years and we can't recommend them highly enough. A full hour of care gives the care professionals time to get to know their clients and they feel like part of the family which has been vital for our family as we all live so far away. Thank you.
All the ladies who attend are lovely and provide good care and company for Mum.
A thoroughly professional service. The admin and staff are very pleasant to deal with and knowledgeable of all the clients' requirements. The carers show great concern and are extremely friendly both to me and my aunt.
I haven’t had any direct contact with my Mother’s carers. However, she seems happy with them and are definitely providing some much needed support to her in her home. From time to time notes are left with requests for things to do which are then followed.
A reliable service is provided to my mother who has dementia. The home helpers are kind and considerate giving my mother the chance to live in her home with their help with daily tasks. The management team are very efficient and has time to chat and reassure the family answering questions when asked.
I look forward to seeing the girls and they are very kind to my husband and he enjoys being looked after and pampered. When they have washed him they do his exercises and chat with him and are very tidy.
Overall happy with the care provided and the carers are always happy and friendly. Feel things need to be tweaked every so often but that also relates to the different circumstances that are changing all the time. Would like to think that when visiting they ask what tasks need doing as my parents are not always thinking about what they want done and not just rely on a set routine.

Meet the Team (10)
Louise is our Head of Client Experience and she manages all aspects of client services to ensure we give professional, caring, tailor-made care and support, constantly reviewing ongoing care needs to provide the best possible client experience. She is a calm, safe pair of hands, always supportive and highly professional.
Tracey is the Senior Care Coordinator and is responsible for ensuring that the right care professional goes to the right client at the right time. We know this as a schedule! Tracey does her best to ensure both clients and care professionals are happy and their needs met and she does this with care, a smile and plenty of common sense.
Jo is our Office Administrator and she looks after the team as a whole ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the office, so on the surface, Jo looks calm and in control but under the water, her feet are paddling like crazy.
Jo is our Community Engagement Officer and it's her job to help raise awareness of the services we provide and the wonderful work that our Care Professionals do every day, as well as engaging with our partner organisations.
Ben is our General Manager and joined Home Instead in November 2021. He is responsible for the overall management of our growing company including operational and business development. Ben previously worked as a regional support manager for a home care franchise and brings a wealth of experience to the Frinton, Clacton & Walton team.
Jean is the owner and business manager for this service. She is a nurse and a midwife and has worked in care all her career, including a 15-year stint in developing countries such as Iraq and Kosovo. To such ends, she is used to high-pressure work and dealing with peoples’ needs that vary from the basic to the complex. Jean's goal for this service is for it to be a valuable resource for the community and to deliver a high-quality service that is very professional and reliable. Her goal for her staff, office and Care Professionals, is that they feel valued and respected.
Marie works alongside Tracey, our Care coordinator and together they plan and schedule each client's care call. It's a lot more complex than it sounds! We work hard to gain as much information about each client as we can so that we can identify appropriately matched Care Professionals. We also have the needs of our Care Professionals to consider too, so Tracey and Marie are adept at juggling priorities and working hard to keep both clients and Care Professionals happy.
Kayleigh is our Finance Manager and she looks after our financial health here at Home Instead. She's a numbers kind of gal, who manages our cash flow and reviews financial reports and forecasts to make sure we stay within budget. Kayleigh also makes sure that all our wonderful Care Professionals get paid the right money and on time, so you might say she's pretty important in our eyes.
Helen is a Senior Care Professional here at Home Instead. In addition to her role of supporting and caring for clients, Helen also visits prospective new clients to carry out care consultations. This involves assessing the needs of a client so that we can tailor make a care package specifically for them and identify the most suitable Care Professional for their needs, interests and personality. Helen is also instrumental in those first introductory meetings between clients and Care Pros, making sure they run smoothly. As you would expect, her people skills also make Helen a fantastic mentor and support to her Care Pro colleagues.
Maria is one of our Communications and Engagement Officers along with Jo. They work together to look at how we can be champions of compassion within our communities, networking with partner organisations and the wonderful local charities and volunteers that already reach out to reduce loneliness and isolation particularly among our older residents. They also look out for sponsorship opportunities and organise events to celebrate the fantastic care and support Home Instead provides. Maria is creative and loves meeting new people.
