My 92-year-old mother lives with me and my husband, having her own self-contained apartment. She has mobility issues but is an independent lady with an active mind who loves to chat. We were going away for a week's holiday and needed overnight cover and someone to visit for an hour around lunchtime to organise lunch and dinner. As this was the first time we'd used the service, naturally there was some apprehension for both mum and us as to whether the arrangement would work. Our friendly Spaniel was also a consideration, walked by a neighbour but prone to escaping. We needn't have worried! The 3 care professionals who came in turn were respectful, kind and trustworthy. The dog loves anyone who'll give him belly rubs and Mum built up a rapport with each of the ladies saying 'they were all lovely'. It was very reassuring for us to know she was safe and happy and I think she was secretly a little sorry when we returned home!

Endlessly patient, never confrontative, subtly persuasive, gentle and friendly and efficient. The positive way my wife responds is a testament to their skill. When caring tasks are complete, they will turn their hand to domestic jobs, washing, ironing, hoovering, anything. We feel totally supported. Nothing is too much trouble. Also very flexible regarding length of visits.

The carers were always friendly, reliable and trustworthy. There was good supervision from the management team who communicated well throughout. They telephoned regularly for updates on Mum's care needs and in recent years increased the level of care as appropriate. I always felt Mum was safe in the hands of the carers.

Home Instead was contacted on the positive comments from known clients plus their excellent Homecare reviews. Home Instead were able to respond at short notice and implement a care plan which exactly met our requirements. The level of care provided by the carers was excellent and my aunt has been more than happy with the service. We were also impressed by the follow-up telephone checks to ensure the level of service was being provided - which it was. Communication from the management team has also been extremely good from the very first call. Would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead for its caring staff and level of service.

I chose Home Instead to care for my mother for one hour per day over several years. The carers were punctual and reliable and carried out their tasks in a caring and friendly manner. The office staff were responsive if ever I needed to call them. I would recommend Home Instead.

The care staff are trained to a high standard and all demonstrated active care and concern over and above their job description, and so, Dad was exceptionally well supported by Home Instead.

We were very lucky to have had Home Instead recommended to us by one of dad's neighbours. From the start, they went out of their way to support and care for dad. Even though my mum only used Home Instead for less than four months, I can't say enough how pleased I was with the service. We have used your care system for a year now and have greatly appreciated the difference it has made to us. Care is for my husband in the form of companionship and has proved very beneficial. My husband enjoys the company and chats with different carers and as his wife, I enjoy the little bit of freedom which it gives me twice a week. The help was designed to meet my individual needs. Help was cheerfully given and quickly modified if or when adjustment was necessary. The service was reliable. It was easy to contact head office if you needed to.

The office staff are unfailingly helpful. The carers are excellent. I regard each one as a friend and enjoy their company as well as the care they give. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them.

My father was looked after in a professional manner and the carers were very gentle with dad. They always introduced themselves and told him what they were going to do. My dad was receiving end of life care and Home Instead were very supportive of me and always did their best to support us at this very difficult time.
