I chose Home Instead to care for my mother for one hour per day over several years. The carers were punctual and reliable and carried out their tasks in a caring and friendly manner. The office staff were responsive if ever I needed to call them. I would recommend Home Instead.

Telephone calls from the office were made to check that all was going well and any problem would have been quickly picked up and looked into. I would recommend Home Instead for its caring staff, efficient organization and ease of communication.

Our dad, in his 90's, is a very independent person. He was very reluctant at first to have carers in his home but the staff from Home Instead were brilliant, compassionate and humorous with him. It was a start in our journey with him to understand that he did need help and for him to accept it.

I would certainly not hesitate to recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for care in their home.

The care staff are trained to a high standard and all demonstrated active care and concern over and above their job description, and so, Dad was exceptionally well supported by Home Instead.

We were very lucky to have had Home Instead recommended to us by one of dad's neighbours. From the start, they went out of their way to support and care for dad. All the caregivers were lovely, that's how dad described them. Over the past two years, we got to know them well and will miss them. Would definitely recommend Home instead without hesitation.

Even though my mum only used Home Instead for less than four months, I can't say enough how pleased I was with the service. Having gone through two other totally unsuitable care companies, we settled on Home Instead because of their companionship as well as the care. After the toll that Covid took on the elderly, it was so great to know that Mum's carers really took the time to get to know her and us. It was really pleasing to see her come out of her shell a bit more. We won't hesitate to use Home Instead again when Mum is able to return home and I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

We have used your care system for a year now and have greatly appreciated the difference it has made to us. Care is for my husband in the form of companionship and has proved very beneficial. My husband enjoys the company and chats with different carers and as his wife, I enjoy the little bit of freedom which it gives me twice a week. I return refreshed and know that my husband has been in safe hands and enjoyed their company. What a difference it has made to both of us.

The help was designed to meet my individual needs. Help was cheerfully given and quickly modified if or when adjustment was necessary. The service was reliable. It was easy to contact head office if you needed to.

The office staff are unfailingly helpful. The carers are excellent. I regard each one as a friend and enjoy their company as well as the care they give. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them.

My father was looked after in a professional manner and the carers were very gentle with dad. They always introduced themselves and told him what they were going to do. My dad was receiving end of life care and Home Instead were very supportive of me and always did their best to support us at this very difficult time.

The Home Instead team put together a night and day care package in double quick time so that my husband was able to stay at home for the last two weeks of his life with his family.

All aspects of the service from Home Instead suited my short-term needs following a fall. Fracturing my wrist, with my arm in plaster, I found tasks eg hosiery and showering difficult. Being in my late 80's and living on my own, having been self-caring after the fall, I lost a lot of confidence. Here Home Instead helped for two months with the above needs (personal care) and so restored my ability and confidence to resume my lifestyle working up to a good recovery with a healed wrist.

My regular carer arrives on time, swales down surfaces before assisting with personal care. This I do appreciate. She helps me in the garden if the weather is dry and hot to keep my plant pots alive. This I cannot do myself any longer. She helps in the kitchen with breakfast and pair lunch preparations. Again jobs I can no longer do myself.

I have recently become much more involved as Deputy Attorney. I have not met all the overnight/evening carers yet. However, we have a live-in day carer who reports back to me. This review is mainly from her input.

I treat them as friends.
