Would not use any other provider - very happy with everything.
Thank you so much Charlotte! It is a great pleasure to support your mother.
For a few years now we have used Home Instead (Guildford and Woking) for companion visits to my son. They have always acted with utmost professionalism and compassion and have ensured that there's continuity of care. This is so important to build a rapport between the client and carer and my son considers his carer as a friend. I know that they always have my son's best interest at heart and this is so reassuring. I would recommend them without any hesitation.
Thank you very much for your thoughtful recommendation.
The support given to them and myself have been very welcomed.
We are all very pleased with the help being provided, and Mum and Dad look forward to the home visits.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review.
They got her the equipment she needed the next day. They are lovely to have around and trustworthy. They know their tasks and keep calm in any situation.
They are simply life changing for both me and my mum.
Thank you so much Joanna! Your mother is an amazing client who is a pleasure to support!
Mother seems to prefer (dementia so hard to tell) the Home Instead people. She looks forward to their visits and sees them as more like companions than carers. Her carers are thoughtful and helpful and seek help when they need it (medications get moved around a lot!).
The Home Instead carers are very caring and have listened to my Mother and to me so that Mother gets fab care. It's a huge relief for me and my brother as we get the visit reports after each visit so know how she is.
I am hugely grateful to Home Instead who are giving Mother great help and who give me confidence in her care. Thank you all!
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such an important review for us. It's much appreciated, Sarah.
Recently we have needed to increase the number of visits. This was done with great care and efficiency.
The carers have become part of the family. The feedback and liaison with the family is amazing. Any concerns they have are quickly passed to the family and care enhanced for a short period.
First class care. Thank you.
Thank you so much Sarah for taking the time to post your uplifting review.
Exceptionally helpful and kind people who provided first-class support with little notice. The carers were all punctual and as well as providing care were helpful with advice during a difficult time. Would recommend without hesitation.
The manager and her team were so supportive to my grandfather, his wife and I. When they initially became involved a few years ago, my relatives were very reluctant to accept care; they worked with them to support them and help them accept that they did, in fact, need care and support to remain as safe as possible at home. This year, when it became clear that their needs were increasing, the manager provided support over and above what was required, to advise and assist in them making the right decision for them, which was to move to a care home permanently. As the only family member assisting them, I could not have achieved the right outcome for them by myself and the manager saw me through some very tough and emotional times during the process of getting them into care.
I cannot praise too highly the care and attention to detail that we received from the managing director, her office based team and her very special caregivers for all the support, care and backup we received in looking after a very special lady when she needed it most. Nothing was too much trouble and the whole team went above and beyond in sometimes very challenging times. The caregivers were so very dedicated to their job, always with a smile and always going the extra mile. True professionalism that you rarely come across. They never once let us down and always found a solution to any issue that arose. Thank you, you really are the best and I shall miss the contact with you all.
Although professional, all carers have become part of the family. Mum is happy and so are we. Love you all.
Mum so far has been so pleased to be back with the team of carers, as nothing is difficult for them to do to help. They always make themselves busy, occupied and also make suggestions for Mum. So far, great.
I was very happy with the service from Home Instead (Guildford & Woking). The carers made a good rapport with my mother and were very supportive with her needs. When mum needed to go into a care home it took longer than I thought to sort it all out and Home Instead (Guildford & Working) were very flexible to help the situation.
Home Instead have been helping me to care for Mum since she fell 3 years ago. Since then she has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and Vascular Dementia and everyone at Home Instead have supported me and my family during this difficult time. The carers are wonderful and Mum looks forward to their visits. I couldn't manage without them!
I can't thank Home Instead enough for the level of care they provide. The quality, kindness and professionalism of all their staff is outstanding and having a regular carer has really helped both with confidence and wellbeing as my husband has got to know and trust her. The company have coped amazingly throughout all the additional challenges of Covid too. They were happy and able to increase our carer hours when we decided we needed more help.
Home Instead helped both my dad and my mum. The carers were so kind and helpful to both my parents; providing progressively more personal care as my dad's illness progressed. It eased the pressure on my mum and allowed my dad to stay at home much longer than he would have done without their assistance - almost to the end of his life. They were practical, cheerful and sensitive to his dignity and he became very fond of them. After my dad's death, they continued to come in and support my mum with much-needed help as she had to go through the process of probate whilst still grieving. I have recommended Home Instead to friends and neighbours on many occasions and will continue to do so.
Home Instead cared for my mother for a considerate length of time, always treating her with the utmost respect and dignity despite her sometimes challenging moods. The whole team empathised with the nature of her difficulties and singing despite her loss of ability to communicate. Home Instead staff went above and beyond their daily care to ensure Mum was not left vulnerable when tragedy struck, caring also for the well being of the wider family. I can recommend Home Instead without hesitation as probably the best provider in the area encompassing professionalism with absolute quality care.
I would highly recommend this agency as they’re most caring, their approach is spiritual, holistic and wholesome. They match the perfect care givers to the individual.
I would like to thank the Home Instead office staff and particularly all of the Caregivers for everything they are doing to support and reassure clients and their families during this challenging and unprecedented time.
I think it is important to say however that the support is at its best when as clients my parents had thought through what support they needed and didn't leave the carers guessing. This may take a little time and trial and error but the end result is peace of mind for all concerned.
The quality of service provided is generally good, and I have always found the staff I have met to be friendly and professionally competent. It is great to be able to rely on your services. The systems for allocating staff to clients gives rise to some concerns, but I appreicate that this is extremely difficult to do efficiently and effectively. Thanks so much for all that you do.

Meet the Team (13)
Sarah, the Managing Director, and super-woman of Home Instead Guildford & Woking. Everyone that knows Sarah knows she pours her heart and soul into the franchise, and it certainly pays off!
Here’s an excerpt from Sarah:
“Giving back to a community where so many desperately need our help and just need that extended family feeling has embraced everything I feel passionate about outside work. I have always felt that enveloping the family culture is really important. Watching your children grow, becoming young adults and then making families of their own gives you a sense of pride and contentment and extending this feeling to our clients, expands my very rooted family traditions. There will always be trials and tribulations in families but to encourage that unity is the ethos of Home Instead and I am incredibly lucky to be part of it.”
