Carers present well and are good timekeepers. Where it does not affect any other of their clients, they will complete the task in hand before leaving.
Friendly, helpful, staff and management teams give good advice and genuinely care about their clients, and providing them with the best, individual care. Definitely recommend.
I had worked with other care agencies some years ago when my Mum needed care in her home. There were often problems of reliability, multiple changes of carers and other issues. I was therefore doubtful that I would be able to find a reliable care agency when I needed post-operative care. I checked the CQC ratings as before and Home Instead Woking were the only local agency I could find with excellent ratings, and they really lived up to this. Totally reliable and two superb carers who helped me get back to normal. I have already recommended them to family and friends and wouldn't hesitate to use them again for me or my family.
The written feedback provided after each visit is a great help.
Very very pleased with the level of care given to my mother sometimes in difficult circumstances. Most definitely going the extra mile to ensure my mother's well-being.
We have been very impressed with the service from Home Instead. The regular visits from carers has enabled my father to remain at home and reassured us that he has visits most days. The flexible approach in terms of what is required on each visit is very helpful and can be anything from doing the ironing to visits to the garden centre! This helps to create companionship rather than a more medical approach and encourages my father to come up with projects. He has benefited from the continuity of carers.
The local management team are sensitive and professional in their understanding of client needs, are very approachable and have been very supportive in dealing with difficult issues. We feel that my father receives a very personal level of care and is treated very much as a valued individual rather than a client.
We have found Home Instead to be creative and innovative in their approach and my father enjoys the regular events held at the local church including 'Holidays at Home'.
We have used Home Instead for two people and they have proven to be absolutely superb.
They are reliable and treat everyone with dignity, respect and immeasurable patience.
The office team are also kind, supportive and incredibly helpful, ensuring a core set of carers is provided. As a team, they have gone to incredible lengths to provide both emergency and longer-term care cover with amazing efficiency and minimum fuss, in what has at times been an unpredictable and volatile set of circumstances. Without their input, the situation would almost certainly have unravelled with potentially disastrous effect.
We have used many care agencies for different relatives and so on over the last 10 years, and I can honestly say this has proven to be one of the very best, and I would highly recommend them.
This company was originally recommended to us by a friend as she had used them to care for her mother who had a similar condition.
From the very start the staff were friendly and flexible (the initial assessment having to be carried out in the hospice rather than at home at short notice).
The quality of the carers and care has ranged from good to excellent and when there has been the odd issue it has been dealt with swiftly and professionally.
I work odd shift patterns and the company's flexibility has been key in allowing me to continue working while knowing that my wife is in safe hands when I am away.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this agency to anybody requiring personal care.
My mothers needs changed considerably during the time Home Instead were looking after her and at the end they were visiting her 4 times a day. Her carers were lovely and although Mum couldn't always remember their names she was very relaxed with them and knew that she would be well looked after. Home Instead were always quick to respond to any situation and their experience and suggestions were a great help. We were so happy that Mum was able to be at home until the end. Thank you Home Instead!
Mum's been delighted with the staff and the Home Instead service to the extent that she regards the member of staff as a friend and ally rather than simply a service provider. We're delighted.
Home Instead were well organised and gave excellent care to my Mum while at home. They were proactive in action and advising me of Mum's current status or diminishing independence. They developed a caring and friendly relationship. If the need arose we would be happy to use them again.
From day one you have been so helpful, all dealings with your company have been nothing but efficient and professional.
We were very happy with the service received from Homecare and recommend them without hesitation. My mum was treated with compassion and respect.
I chose Home Instead to care for my elderly Mother after she was discharged from hospital in April. They were rated as outstanding on the CQC website and so I felt confident and looked no further. I was happy with the initial meeting and felt that my Mother's needs would be met. The carers visit each morning to administer medication and ensure that Mum has breakfast. They will go to the local shop to keep the fridge stocked. They will always contact me if there are concerns and are happy to discuss any issues. They also provide companionship which my Mum needs as I live too far away to visit more than once or twice a week.
The manager and her team were so supportive to my Grandfather, his wife and I. When they initially became involved a few years ago, my relatives were very reluctant to accept care; they worked with them to support them and help them accept that they did, in fact, need care and support to remain as safe as possible at home. This year, when it became clear that their needs were increasing, the manager provided support over and above what was required, to advise and assist in them making the right decision for them, which was to move to a care home permanently. As the only family member assisting them, I could not have achieved the right outcome for them by myself and the manager saw me through some very tough and emotional times during the process of getting them into care.
I can thoroughly recommend Home Instead Senior Care (Guildford and Woking), all the team have been brilliant, and I would struggle to find the level of support shown towards us all from anywhere else.
I have 3 carers who come in 3 times a week. I couldn't wish for 3 nicer ladies. They are so kind, caring and considerate. They will do anything to help me and give me encouragement as I as I exercise to strengthen my legs. They are all interested in me and how I spend my time and I feel can share any problem with them I can share any problems with them I can trust them.
At present, the management has allocated one particular carer wherever possible, which is an advantage.
My carer is very efficient and takes on anything she can see needs attention and is always willing to help.
Overall everything is as expected. The service provided suits me.
My girl is educated, imaginative and kindly. All qualities I appreciate. I enjoy our outings (I am unable to drive at present) and even trips to the hospital. She is always on time too.

Meet the Team (13)
Sarah, the Managing Director, and super-woman of Home Instead Guildford & Woking. Everyone that knows Sarah knows she pours her heart and soul into the franchise, and it certainly pays off!
Here’s an excerpt from Sarah:
“Giving back to a community where so many desperately need our help and just need that extended family feeling has embraced everything I feel passionate about outside work. I have always felt that enveloping the family culture is really important. Watching your children grow, becoming young adults and then making families of their own gives you a sense of pride and contentment and extending this feeling to our clients, expands my very rooted family traditions. There will always be trials and tribulations in families but to encourage that unity is the ethos of Home Instead and I am incredibly lucky to be part of it.”
