Bluebird Care have been caring for my 93-year-old father for about a year. He has dementia. Because of their twice-daily visits, my father is able to live in his own home.

The carers are very kind and helpful and treat my father in a friendly and courteous manner.

The management are very approachable and helpful, and any monir problems are quickly sorted, Our family are very happy with Bluebird Care.

I can only praise Bluebird Care. My Mum has had their care for a long time now and knowing that she has a Carer going to visit and help her each day, gives me "piece of mind". When I telephone the office the Staff are always polite and friendly.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Bluebird Care to family or friends.

I use Bluebird Carers Eastbourne when my father stays with us and have always found the ladies very pleasant and caring and always on time. In fact, I am now in the process of negotiating with Bluebird Carers Bromley to provide care for him full time.

Kind and thoughtful carers who support my mum (and us) and enable her to stay at home. She was very resistant to having any help but now enjoys their visits. Thank you.

Bluebird Care stepped in quickly, quietly and efficiently when needed in Easter 2017. Following this, they provided two periods of 2 weeks live-in care for my mother, who suffers from Alzheimer's and is quite frail. Not only was the carer excellent, but importantly the contact with me has been exemplary, understanding and timely.

Bluebird carers looked after my mother for about 4 years. She had Alzheimer's and was not always the easiest of people to be with but they always took time to talk to her and listen to her. They treated her with kindness and respect at all times. I would have no hesitation at all in recommending Bluebird to anyone looking for care for an elderly parent or relative.

An excellent proactive service that provided all aspects of live in care. When palliative end of life care was required, support was provided with the minimum of fuss but maximum care, compassion and dignity.

My husband was reluctant to have carers but Bluebird Care started with one carer who did most shifts. The carer was keen to find out how my husband liked things done and went out her way to put him at ease. My husband soon looked forward to the carers coming in.

Bluebird Care made it possible for my parents to stay in their own home for several years. Both of my parents had complex needs including hoisting, catheter care and stoma care. The carers dealt efficiently and professionally with my parents' needs and always treated my parents with respect and kindness allowing my parents to keep their dignity in this difficult time of life. I live over 350 miles from Eastbourne and visited as often as I could, but I could return home with peace of mind, knowing my parents were in good hands and if any problem were to arise Bluebird Care would deal with it.

When I think back over the 5 years of care we, as a family received from Bluebird, it was of a very high standard indeed. I am extremely grateful to the manageress and all the carers for helping my mum and dad stay at home for so long.

I would recommend Bluebird Care to anyone seeking care in their own home.

Overall Experience

My 90-year old mother has had live-in Bluebird carers continually since autumn 2013 and I have no hesitation in recommending Bluebird to anyone who is considering such care. We have been lucky enough that, for most of the time, two excellent Bluebird ladies alternate, living-in with Mum 3 weeks on and 3 weeks off. The arrangement works extremely well and our two Bluebird carers have become trusted and valued by our family for the highly professional and thoughtful care they give Mum. We fully appreciate that the carer's job can be very frustrating. An elderly person can be extremely demanding and it takes time for them to get used to having someone in their home, doing the tasks they used to be able to do themselves. For the family, it's important to be patient and understanding of both carer and cared as there are bound to be teething problems at the start of a new relationship. We stay in touch with the carers and try to support them through difficult situations. We also respect their need for free time. Sometimes we have had temporary carers and Mum finds it very hard to adjust to a new person and can be very difficult. At times like these, the Bluebird manager has always been available to ease the situation by letting both the carer and Mum talk to him about their issues. The Bluebird management have been highly professional, considerate and helpful in all our interactions and I have become confident that they always act in Mum's best interests.
