We contacted Home Instead Senior Care for my Father, who is chronically ill, as we saw the excellent Care Quality Commission report online. We received visits to discuss bespoke care packages and plans, which resulted in a contract for three one hour visits daily from Home Instead.
Dad and the family are extremely impressed with Home Instead’s expert caring services, knowing that every aspect of the service is outstanding. The Caregivers and the management team go above and beyond their duties. For example, the lock on the front door broke and within the day, Home Instead arranged for this to be fixed. Caregivers contact the doctor’s surgery directly if there is a deterioration in his health as appropriate. There is excellent communication with the family and we receive a weekly schedule and daily visit reports.
We are very fortunate to have Home Instead looking after my Father, and we highly recommend them for passionate, outstanding and excellent care. The Caregivers are like part of our family.
We had been caring for mum for some time and her ability to do everyday tasks by herself had continued to decrease. The strains of full-time work meant my sister and I were unable to go over in the mornings to provide the required help. Dad was becoming exhausted and suffered a heart attack due to the continual stress of mum's care.
The ladies are a Godsend and really, really make a difference. I have already recommended them to several colleagues at work and friends, where care for a family member had become an issue. The Home Instead team, I feel, don't treat their roles as just a job, instead, as a vocation and are so thoughtful and caring. The ladies are always talking to mum and engaging both her and dad, keeping the focus always on them, their well-being and make them feel special.
I receive help in the house and a little shopping and enjoy the company.
We have used Home Instead for 2 years and are quite satisfied with their service.
We also have cleaning work for one hour a week and it is clear that females are more proficient and housework familiar.

Meet the Team (5)
Alison and Brian enjoyed the opportunity to work and live in The Netherlands and Chicago before returning to Cheshire in 1999.
Brian and Alison have three teenage children; Will, Jack and Olivia. They understand how difficult it can be for family members to balance their working lives with also trying to provide support to their family, young or old.
Jen brings 10 years of care experience to her role in Home Instead. She has worked in community-based care, care homes and in a hospital mental health unit. Whilst gaining this experience, Jen invested her time in and completed her NVQ 2 & NVQ3 in health and social care as well as an NCFE qualification in mental health.
Jen joined Home Instead in 2018, she wanted to stay in the sector and was looking to work with a team with a passion for delivering high standards of care. She started as a CAREGiver learning about our values and standards. Jens passion and ability were recognised with promotion to a Senior CAREGiver in 2018 and further promotion to a full-time CARE Coordinator role in 2019. In this role, she supports our Registered Manager Laura with Client reviews and CAREGiver support and coaching.
Jen recently regularly works with our local Occupational Therapists to support our mutual Clients and recently completed an advanced moving and handling’ train the trainer’ course. She uses her experience, skills and training to support and coach our Caregiver’s to provide care that is truly person-centred and relationship led.
Hayley relocated from Oxfordshire to Cheshire with her partner. She began working within the care sector in 2015, predominantly in domiciliary care. Her interest in care was sparked after caring for her Nan during her final few months of her illness. Following her first role as a Care Assistant and a stint on an Oncology unit in a hospital, she progressed into a Senior Care role, writing care plans and coaching new staff. After nearly seven years of working in Care in Oxfordshire and completing her NVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care together with her NVQ Level 3 in End-of-Life Care, she joined Home Instead as a Care Coordinator in January 2022, attracted by Home Instead’s ethos of individualised and person-centred care. She is looking forward to working alongside the Care team and bringing her experience and passion to the role.
Upon completion of her undergraduate career, Rebecca embarked upon a role with BT in the Sales and Retention Department and was soon promoted to the Planning Department. In this role Rebecca was responsible for streamlining and managing processes related to annual leave, in accordance with BT policy and international industry quality standards. This required Rebecca to demonstrate good coaching skills and positively manage a variety of stakeholders whilst keeping focus on the task in hand.
In 2018, Rebecca was seeking a role that she felt would “make a difference to people’s lives” and allow her to apply her analytical/problem-solving skill set. Consequently, Rebecca joined our team as the Scheduler. In this role Rebecca is responsible for coordinating the scheduling of individualised service for all our clients and CAREGivers, whilst also optimising our ability to provide relationship led care.
From 2007, she worked as the Executive PA in a busy primary school overseas and her role included all aspects of HR, recruitment and administration work.
Having gained her Diploma in Health and Social Care in 2005, Jane was keen to incorporate her admin experience into a role within a care setting. Due to her own father’s onset of dementia in the past few years, she came to understand the importance of the availability of honest, kind and sympathetic caregivers to support the family, together with the provision of support for the CAREGivers themselves, helping them to manage their important but often challenging roles. She came across the role of Caregiver Administrator at Home Instead whist researching care for her father; it was the perfect fit and so she joined the team in 2017.
