We have received excellent care and support from Bluebirds for over a year which has been such an excellent service. All of the staff at the agency are very kind, caring, efficient and supportive in all aspects of care for my mum.
They are respectful and courteous to her needs and always bring a welcome
smile to brighten up my mum's day. They have become friends as well as carers and have enhanced every aspect of mum's life. They have helped her establish a daily routine that has enabled her to stay independent at home. I also think that they have helped to keep mum's dementia progression at bay as she has excellent communication with the carers; they have lovely conversations with her and really take time to listen and enjoy chats during their visit. They are also very considerate if any safety issues might crop up, we work well together as they always highlight any issues promptly that we need to resolve for mum. I would definitely recommend Bluebirds Care Agency.

Have had your carers for some time now and am very happy with the care provided and did recommend Bluebird to friends. Visits were originally to my flat at Sealawns, Barry. Now visits are to sheltered housing here. everyone truly shows that they care in helping me shower, dress and dispose of re-cycling
etc.
I would not manage without them and with increasing arthritic problems will be looking for more soon

Bluebirds, Whitchurch, Cardiff. Without these ladies & gentleman myself and my family would never have been able to manage/cope with my uncle as he is in the first stages of Alzheimer's. The care they give goes over and above and we can't thank them enough. The care package which they give my uncle
cares for his every need, it's due to these lovely ladies & gentleman that he can live in his own home with all his belongings around him. I am absolutely certain that because he knows he's got Bluebirds's coming in everyday this gives him a purpose to carry on, before they leave him, washed, dressed, fed etc they also leave My uncle with a smile on his face, which is so lovely to see an 82 year old man so happy and content. We as a family could not wish for anymore. Thanks to all the managers, carers, admin staff, receptionists you are all fabulous and never forget it.

Generally the care given to mum is of a high standard with most of the carers being thoughtful and kind. Occasionally there might be one who struggles with adapting to mums routine/requirements but more often than not they learn to do so.
I appreciate that staff turnover in this sector is high and
that can lead to problems.
In general we are satisfied with the service provided by Bluebird and do find more senior staff easily accessible.

The staff are invariably polite and as one would expect helpful and sociable.
Although as understandable some some staff are more experienced than others the standard of care received is both professional and always carried out in a friendly manner.
Obviously there are times when the schedule times
cannot be observed and it would be helpful to be advised .
beforehand of any likely delays.
Also it would be appreciated if the weekly schedules could be E-mailed as soon as available.

There are no problems, the carers are all pleasant and friendly and helpful. My Mother is happy with them and there is peace of mind, knowing they are calling each morning. She particularly enjoys her visits to the Hub. As she is a sociable person, these make a huge difference to her quality of life.

We've been really impressed.


Over the last 9 months we've used:


- 4 x daytime visits (wash, dress, meds, food, bed prep, etc);
- overnight stays; and
- live in respite care.


Dad has fairly late stage dementia. He wouldn't still be at home without Bluebird.


The carers are marvellous. So

caring and attentive, and mostly chatty. They've restored our faith in humanity. Most start feeling like family after a short while. The company seems to do an excellent recruitment job.


The office have always been fast, helpful and obliging, and given us good advice on how to navigate the complex care system.


We totally trust the team and their integrity.

Care staff are always seen to be polite and professional. The client has often expressed how fortunate he is having the carers looking after him.
I find the care staff have dads best interest as priority and generally understand his medical condition means no 2 days can be the same having patience
where necessary.

Although I only require minimum personal care I am very pleased with what I get. The most benefit I get from the service Bluebird provides is the social side ie someone to talk to particularly on a Monday morning as I might not have spoken to anyone face to face since Friday morning. Over the 18 months
I have been using Bluebird every career I've had has been pleasant and caring making me feel important.

We are very pleased with the care and support that our Mum receives from the Bluebird carers and team. The carers are wonderful with Mum - being both caring and compassionate we can't speak highly enough of them. The supervisor has been fantastic since we started with Bluebird's services last September.
She is brilliant at quickly and effectively dealing with any requests and she has been a great carer to Mum and a support to us. The rest of the team all work very hard behind the scenes and are happy to respond to requests for changes or advise on next steps. Thank you Bluebird team!

Mum has been recieving on going support and care from Bluebird Care Cardiff for over two years now and I can not fault their care and compassion. Even when my dad was gravely ill at home they made him
They are always willing to help to change calls or adapt to accomadate short and long term issues,
Nothing is too much trouble. Mum has dementia and does not remember carers names, but she call them all her friends.
The past month we have had a few issues with home life balance and the support we received from Bluebird management was first class. The team are so passionate about their duty of care and support that we would not be able to manage without them.

We put in place a care package with Bluebird Care Cardiff after my mother was discharged from hospital. The supervisor visited and carried out a comprehensive care assessment which was very thourough and of a high standard. She started with 4 carer visits a day but we changed to live-in care to meet
her needs. The carers have been very supportive and compassionate to her. We particularly appreciate the professionalism and responsiveness from the supervisor who has been proactive in overseeing and adapting our mother's cares as her needs evolve.

The Bluebird Care Team have been incredibly professional adapting to the needs of my husband . He has thrived enjoying the social outings and support he has received from all the carers who have worked with him since June 2024.
The office staff are always happy to answer queries and we can rely on
consistent and familiar staff who have a good understanding of the complexities of my husbands needs .

The service we are having from Bluebird Care is really first class we could not be happier. All of the carers that we have met, are interested in my dad as a person, and not just as another client. They chat to him and brighten his day, apart from fulfilling their duties of hygiene, care, and making
him some food and drink, and making sure he is comfortable. Without this help my dad would be unable to live in his own home which he has been in since it was built over 50 years ago. As a family we are grateful to Bluebird Care, and cannot recommend them highly enough. Thank you for your support!

As the Responsible Individual for the service, it is my duty to oversee all regulated activity on-site and service management and ensure the service is run well and safely. To ensure that the service is compliant with service regulations and standards, to make sure that the service is managed and has the right resources to run the service as effectively as possible. I must also ensure that the business is financially sustainable.


All of these guidelines must be followed as per RISCA 2016.


It also imperative that I understand the respective roles and responsibilities of RIs and how managers complement each other. Working together we can achieve this.


Growth, reputation and development of the business is one of my main focus. Customer service and satisfaction is an area in which I am extremely compassionate. Care is a passion and driving excellence is a key factor in organizational management which I am keen to deliver.

Cerys Morgan

Job Title: Registered Manager Joined: 2023

Cerys is responsible for the day-to-day running of the service maintaining the highest quality in Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan. Her responsibilities are to monitor, record and ensure that all care staff have completed mandatory training, refresher training and additional training which will enhance the delivery of care to our customers. Cerys is dedicated to ensuring that we complete a weekly Quality Improvement plan so that we can all work as one team to deliver quality which is compliant and safe. She has worked in care for many years and has completed, amongst many other training certificates her Level 5 in Social and Health Care. Cerys is also our dedicated Mental Health First Aid trainer.

Emma

Emma Avis

Job Title: Supervisor Joined: 2015

Emma joined Bluebird Care in February 2015 having previously worked in supported living for people with Learning Disabilities. She initially started with us as a care worker and within six months was promoted to Care Supervisor. Emma is always on hand to provide advice and support to the supervisors in both Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan. She manages her own team of care workers to ensure that we continue to provide a quality service. Emma is the first point of contact with both new and existing customers in the Vale of Glamorgan.


In her spare time, Emma enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.

Joanne

Joanne Couch

Job Title: Supervisor Joined: 2019

Joanne worked in Care for 4 years before joining Bluebird Care, mainly with Dementia and Alzheimer’s.


Joanne started with Bluebird Care in April 2019 as a Care Supervisor for the Vale of Glamorgan. Jo is responsible for supporting several Customers and Care Assistants by carrying out regular supervision, spot checks, quality reviews etc.

Chloe has been working in care for the past 5 years and joined Bluebird Care in 2023. Chloe completed 2 years of a nursing degree, however after working in care decided that working in the care community sector was a better fit for her. Chloe’s family all live in West Wales, so Chloe spends her weekends visiting them as she has 7 siblings and 13 nieces & nephews, meaning she is always busy. But, as Chloe lives away from her family, she spends her time after work with her friends.

Kim loves working within the care sector as she loves knowing she is making a difference to someone's quality of life and supporting them to remain living in their own home. Kim doesn't get a lot of spare time she is a mum of 3. It's a very busy life working full time with having 3 children and a husband. When she does have some spare time, she enjoys having her nails done or going shopping.

Job Title: Live In Care Mentor and Hub Coordinator Joined: 2016

Nicola has worked for Bluebird Care Cardiff and The Vale for many years, she joined us in 2016 as a Carer in the community and has recently been promoted to Care Mentor due to her experience and professional attitude to both customers and staff.


Nicola is based in our Cowbridge office and has spent the last 6 months building our Hub to encourage the elderly and vulnerable people to socialise once more after the pandemic forced everyone to stay home.


Every Monday, Thursday and Friday Nicola runs a hub which encourages chat, games, music and singing. She serves tea, coffee and cake and the hub is free of charge.
