I am really grateful to Cardiff Bluebird Care for providing care at short notice for my father while I needed to go into hospital for urgent cancer surgery. It gave me peace of mind at a difficult time to know dad was receiving his meals and domestic household chores were carried out. Further I too needed care when I returned home and the care was swiftly put in place. The team of carers were so pleasant and understanding. Nothing was too much trouble. They were seldom late and quickly knew where to find everything. Thank you x

We have had service from Bluebird for several years firstly for domestic purposes, emphasis changing to companionship and personal care. The carers who come are all very welcome. They are pleasant, diligent, and caring. No problems at all with them. There has been the odd wobble in admin but minor and not important in the whole picture. We continue to be satisfied with the service provided - to the extent of having organised live-in for later this year.

Carers came to my previous address as well as to current sheltered housing. Every one has been a true carer in understanding my problems and helping me to shower, dress, dispose of re cycling etc. They are all very clean and hygienic in practice. All are pleasant and little chat is great. I now understand that there are additional ways you can help (e.g. shopping) which I will use.

Mum had a very good relationship with Nabella and Touba but both have left and the agency carers have been at times less than satisfactory. Sneshaa ha proved to be a very good replacement but when we have different carers, Mum has found it very unsettling

They are respectful and courteous to her needs and always bring a welcome smile to brighten up my mum's day. They have become friends as well as carers and have enhanced every aspect of mum's life. They have helped her establish a daily routine that has enabled her to stay independent at home. I also think that they have helped to keep mum's dementia progression at bay as she has excellent communication with the carers; they have lovely conversations with her and really take time to listen and enjoy chats during their visit. They are also very considerate if any safety issues might crop up, we work well together as they always highlight any issues promptly that we need to resolve for mum. I would definitely recommend Bluebirds Care Agency.

Bluebirds, Whitchurch, Cardiff. Without these ladies & gentleman myself and my family would never have been able to manage/cope with my uncle as he is in the first stages of Alzheimer's. The care they give goes over and above and we can't thank them enough. The care package which they give my uncle cares for his every need, it's due to these lovely ladies & gentleman that he can live in his own home with all his belongings around him. I am absolutely certain that because he knows he's got Bluebirds's coming in everyday this gives him a purpose to carry on, before they leave him, washed, dressed, fed etc they also leave My uncle with a smile on his face, which is so lovely to see an 82 year old man so happy and content. We as a family could not wish for anymore. Thanks to all the managers, carers, admin staff, receptionists you are all fabulous and never forget it.

All, your staff are kind and helpful For my daughter much appreciated however the 7am visits on a Tuesday and Wednesday are a little too early for her please would it be possible to change them to 8am please

Obviously there are times when the schedule times cannot be observed and it would be helpful to be advised .

There are no problems, the carers are all pleasant and friendly and helpful. My Mother is happy with them and there is peace of mind, knowing they are calling each morning. She particularly enjoys her visits to the Hub. As she is a sociable person, these make a huge difference to her quality of life.

We've been really impressed.
Over the last 9 months we've used:
- overnight stays; and
- live in respite care.
Dad has fairly late stage dementia. He wouldn't still be at home without Bluebird.
The carers are marvellous. So caring and attentive, and mostly chatty. They've restored our faith in humanity. Most start feeling like family after a short while. The company seems to do an excellent recruitment job.
The office have always been fast, helpful and obliging, and given us good advice on how to navigate the complex care system.
We totally trust the team and their integrity.

I find the care staff have dads best interest as priority and generally understand his medical condition means no 2 days can be the same having patience where necessary.

We are very pleased with the care and support that our Mum receives from the Bluebird carers and team. The carers are wonderful with Mum - being both caring and compassionate we can't speak highly enough of them. The supervisor has been fantastic since we started with Bluebird's services last September. She is brilliant at quickly and effectively dealing with any requests and she has been a great carer to Mum and a support to us. Meet the Team (10)
As the Responsible Individual for the service, it is my duty to oversee all regulated activity on-site and service management and ensure the service is run well and safely. To ensure that the service is compliant with service regulations and standards, to make sure that the service is managed and has the right resources to run the service as effectively as possible. I must also ensure that the business is financially sustainable.
All of these guidelines must be followed as per RISCA 2016.
It also imperative that I understand the respective roles and responsibilities of RIs and how managers complement each other. Working together we can achieve this.
Growth, reputation and development of the business is one of my main focus. Customer service and satisfaction is an area in which I am extremely compassionate. Care is a passion and driving excellence is a key factor in organizational management which I am keen to deliver.
Cerys is responsible for the day-to-day running of the service maintaining the highest quality in Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan. Her responsibilities are to monitor, record and ensure that all care staff have completed mandatory training, refresher training and additional training which will enhance the delivery of care to our customers. Cerys is dedicated to ensuring that we complete a weekly Quality Improvement plan so that we can all work as one team to deliver quality which is compliant and safe. She has worked in care for many years and has completed, amongst many other training certificates her Level 5 in Social and Health Care. Cerys is also our dedicated Mental Health First Aid trainer.
Emma joined Bluebird Care in February 2015 having previously worked in supported living for people with Learning Disabilities. She initially started with us as a care worker and within six months was promoted to Care Supervisor. Emma is always on hand to provide advice and support to the supervisors in both Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan. She manages her own team of care workers to ensure that we continue to provide a quality service. Emma is the first point of contact with both new and existing customers in the Vale of Glamorgan.
In her spare time, Emma enjoys cooking and spending time with her family.
Joanne worked in Care for 4 years before joining Bluebird Care, mainly with Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
Joanne started with Bluebird Care in April 2019 as a Care Supervisor for the Vale of Glamorgan. Jo is responsible for supporting several Customers and Care Assistants by carrying out regular supervision, spot checks, quality reviews etc.
Joanne has completed her QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
Chloe has been working in care for the past 5 years and joined Bluebird Care in 2023. Chloe completed 2 years of a nursing degree, however after working in care decided that working in the care community sector was a better fit for her. Chloe’s family all live in West Wales, so Chloe spends her weekends visiting them as she has 7 siblings and 13 nieces & nephews, meaning she is always busy. But, as Chloe lives away from her family, she spends her time after work with her friends.
Sinead has been working in care for 6 years, and while working at Bluebird Care has worked her way through the ranks from carer to senior and is now one of our amazing care supervisors!
In Sinead's spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family.
Karen is our Payroll and Accounts Officer. Karen has worked in Accounts for many years and spent most of her career working in care joining us from another Care Provider this year. Although having a Masters Degree in Psychology, Karen is a stickler for diligence and accuracy. She has recently completed a qualification in Xero
Kim has worked in care since 2017 and enjoys every minute of it. Kim believes that working within a care sector you gain a lot of experience in all different aspects. Before this Kim worked within a childcare setting. Kim loves working within the care sector as she loves knowing she is making a difference to someone's quality of life and supporting them to remain living in their own home. Kim doesn't get a lot of spare time she is a mum of 3. It's a very busy life working full time with having 3 children and a husband. When she does have some spare time, she enjoys having her nails done or going shopping.
Nicola has worked for Bluebird Care Cardiff and The Vale for many years, she joined us in 2016 as a Carer in the community and has recently been promoted to Care Mentor due to her experience and professional attitude to both customers and staff.
Nicola is based in our Cowbridge office and has spent the last 6 months building our Hub to encourage the elderly and vulnerable people to socialise once more after the pandemic forced everyone to stay home.
Every Monday, Thursday and Friday Nicola runs a hub which encourages chat, games, music and singing. She serves tea, coffee and cake and the hub is free of charge.
Rachel has worked for Bluebird Care for the last 2 years as a Care worker in the community.
As a Care Mentor, Rachel mentors and coaches care assistants during their probation period and is also there for them should they need extra support.
