Meet the Team (10)

As the Responsible Individual for the service, it is my duty to oversee all regulated activity on-site and service management and ensure the service is run well and safely. To ensure that the service is compliant with service regulations and standards, to make sure that the service is managed and has the right resources to run the service as effectively as possible. I must also ensure that the business is financially sustainable.
All of these guidelines must be followed as per RISCA 2016.
It also imperative that I understand the respective roles and responsibilities of RIs and how managers complement each other. Working together we can achieve this.
Growth, reputation and development of the business is one of my main focus. Customer service and satisfaction is an area in which I am extremely compassionate. Care is a passion and driving excellence is a key factor in organizational management which I am keen to deliver.

Cerys is responsible for the day-to-day running of the service maintaining the highest quality in Cardiff and The Vale of Glamorgan. Her responsibilities are to monitor, record and ensure that all care staff have completed mandatory training, refresher training and additional training which will enhance the delivery of care to our customers. Cerys is dedicated to ensuring that we complete a weekly Quality Improvement plan so that we can all work as one team to deliver quality which is compliant and safe. She has worked in care for many years and has completed, amongst many other training certificates her Level 5 in Social and Health Care. Cerys is also our dedicated Mental Health First Aid trainer.

Karen is our Payroll and Accounts Officer. Karen has worked in Accounts for many years and spent most of her career working in care joining us from another Care Provider this year. Although having a Masters Degree in Psychology, Karen is a stickler for diligence and accuracy. She has recently completed a qualification in Xero

Khalil has been working in the care sector as a care assistant for 6 years, and has recently worked as a supervisor & coordinator for the last 4 years. Khalil was excited to join Bluebird Care as the live-in coordinator, as he enjoys keeping people in their own homes.
He has an amazing partner and the most beautiful son, whom he loves to hang out with every day. He is a massive rugby fan and current player. He enjoys going to the gym and keeping fit.

Chris joins Bluebird Care Cardiff and The Vale as our Care Co-Ordinator for Cardiff. Chris brings experience from his two years in the care sector. Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his partner, experiencing the Welsh dream and exploring many places in Wales.
As he moved from Devon this year, he likes to travel down and see his family, including his 3 nieces, 2 nephews and great niece & nephews.

Joanne worked in Care for 4 years before joining Bluebird Care, mainly with Dementia and Alzheimer’s.
Joanne started with Bluebird Care in April 2019 as a Care Supervisor for the Vale of Glamorgan. Jo is responsible for supporting several Customers and Care Assistants by carrying out regular supervision, spot checks, quality reviews etc.
Joanne has completed her QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care.

Chloe has been working in care for the past 5 years and joined Bluebird Care in 2023. Chloe completed 2 years of a nursing degree, however after working in care decided that working in the care community sector was a better fit for her. Chloe’s family all live in West Wales, so Chloe spends her weekends visiting them as she has 7 siblings and 13 nieces & nephews, meaning she is always busy. But, as Chloe lives away from her family, she spends her time after work with her friends.

Sinead has been working in care for 6 years, and while working at Bluebird Care, has worked her way through the ranks from carer to senior and is now one of our amazing care supervisors!
In Sinead's spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family.

Chloe joins Bluebird Care Cardiff and The Vale as our Carer Wellbeing Mentor. Chloe brings valuable experience from her two years in the Mental Health Sector, as well as a year supporting young people through an Emotional Health Team. Outside of work, Chloe enjoys spending time by the sea with her dogs, creating special memories on family days out with her nieces, and travelling whenever she gets the chance.

Nicola has worked for Bluebird Care Cardiff and The Vale for many years, she joined us in 2016 as a Carer in the community and has recently been promoted to Care Mentor due to her experience and professional attitude to both customers and staff.
Nicola is based in our Cowbridge office and has spent the last 6 months building our Hub to encourage the elderly and vulnerable people to socialise once more after the pandemic forced everyone to stay home.
Every Monday, Thursday and Friday Nicola runs a hub which encourages chat, games, music and singing. She serves tea, coffee and cake and the hub is free of charge.
