Tailor Maid Home Care is an award-winning family-run business which delivers first-class care at home.

Delivering care and support to people in their own homes, helps people retain their independence, which is what the team is committed to do.

Care packages are tailored to individuals needs, personalised to ensure only excellent quality care is provided.

Staff all undertake SVQ2/3 in Health and Social care as part of their training.

It is fully registered and regulated by the Care Inspectorate and all staff are fully disclosure checked and trained to National Care Standards. They are specialists in dementia care; all staff complete the Best Practice in Dementia Care course in conjunction with Stirling University dementia Centre.

The care inspectorate report is available for 2025.

The care provided by Tailor Maid Home Care is first class and literally, we would not cope without them. Their support means that my mum gets to stay in her own home, which is what she has chosen to do. My mum loves all the carers who come in. She enjoys listening to their chat, whilst getting the help
she needs. They know her well so know when extra support is needed and are quick to respond to changing needs.

Tailor Maid provide a carer for 45 minutes each morning to assist me with washing and dressing plus carrying out domestic activities such as dishwashing. I am happy with all of this, the only complaint being that the rostered times of arrival vary too widely.

Staff are well presented and generally on time. Well trained in all aspects of care, especially moving and handling. If there is a downside, it's a communication issue as changes are made to rotas and clients are not advised, especially when clients are used to particular carers.

Service used for respite care for myself looking after my wife with advanced dementia. Standard of service is good. Carers provided are excellent. However, as the service is to assist me as the prime carer to get a break, it is vital that there is a level of consistency in the hours required. These
breaks are vitally important to me. Varying start times and duration of respite are difficult to deal with. I already have difficulty with staff analysing, but the carer support is as important as that to the cared for.

This is a small company, which I like, for they keep a tight grip on staff and office management. Should one of their staff have been held up in keeping their appointment with me, then I receive a call immediately from head office, to keep me informed o the reason. Each morning, I get help from one
of the team to assist in washing and dressing, make my bed, or change it, wash breakfast dishes, or put out the rubbish. One on the rota is capable and will do anything to help in a willing and cheerful way. I look forward to their visits.

Having used this service provider for mum's care at home for the last two years, we have been very pleased and satisfied with the level of care provided. The staff provide a high level of friendly care to our mum and treat her with kindness, care and dignity. The staff are scheduled on a rota basis
and where possible, this is maintained with the same staff for consistency and to the benefit of mum's care.
