My elderly mother receives Home Instead care, via four visits a day and two longer visits per week. It has transformed her confidence, happiness and my reassurance. The caregivers are kind, patient, proactive and treat her with dignity and warmth. The management/crisis out of hours support is diligent, proactive and instils confidence in me that Mum will be ok. We are both hugely thankful to Home Instead.
First-class care provided by Home Instead. Very caring and attentive staff and very well organised.
A very difficult time during coronavirus and I was working as a key worker. Home Instead managed to send the same three carers to ensure midday meal and cleaning was done. Mum is very anxious about letting people in but was put to rest owing to high professionalism. Only stopped because as their daughter, I took a career break to look after them. We now know what to ask for in the way of help when we next engage them.
When Mum first needed care (April 2017) Home Instead were able to put together a team to support her within a few days which enabled Mum to leave hospital and go home. Thereafter they provided care until Mum went into hospital again (Jan 2019). Care was provided at times which suited Mum and the carers were, without exception, excellent. They became firm friends. Home Instead were always flexible, helpful and responsive.
My mother needed help with my father who has dementia first thing in the mornings as she was unable to cope any longer. The cover was arranged easily and at very short notice which we were really pleased about as it made a great deal of difference to my mother. The cover was excellent staff were very good. We knew it wouldn't be a long term thing as my father needed to go into a nursing home but that was no problem.
We only have 1 difficult lady and you were very swift to deal with it when we alerted you to our concerns.
Entirely satisfactory.
My aunt was first introduced to the staff of Home Instead when she needed help with her lunch. During the last couple of years she was treated with kindness and respect and she looked forward to their visits. As time passed the staff also made her tea on their lunchtime visit leaving in her fridge for her to enjoy later on. During the last weeks of my aunt's life, the visits were stepped up to four a day and the office staff went the extra mile making sure our requests were put into place, bringing us peace of mind at a difficult time.
Home Instead provided the appropriate guidance and support when transferring the care package. Excellent response and care to my grandfather to allow him to stay at home.
All the dealings I have had with Home Instead have always been very good, they explained everything to me. The usual carer was very nice, friendly and it was so good to have the care person for each visit. I will certainly get in touch again for anything I may need in the future.
Needed home care after total hip replacement. Arrangements were handled professionally and efficiently. Carers were friendly and willing to help however they could. I was treated with dignity throughout. Would use again if necessary.
Overall a positive experience. Good to be able to rely on a carer arriving on time with a timely phone call about the last minute change. Carers all friendly as well as efficient. The client was always treated as a person with good humour. I consider the regular carers as my friends and I miss the daily chat.
Mum was cared for in an excellent way for several years. She had care several times a day until she went into the hospital.
Using Home Instead to be part of my fathers care packages was a great success, especially as his main carer had an interest in common, Horses and riding. This was a good match! Thank you.
Although we only arranged for caregivers one hour a day and only weekdays it was money well spent. It was reassurance for us as a family that all was well. Although dad was quite independent he was in early stages of dementia, he required prompting regarding medication and sometimes preparing food. The caregivers were kind, professional and caring. Dad passed away on February 25th, 2018.
A very professional company providing a very high standard of care. Your services made my parents' last few weeks in their own home manageable and enjoyable and provided me with peace of mind.
Very good care given, professionally.
Good timekeeping.
Kept well informed by the office if there are any delays eg traffic hold-ups.
I have had other agencies - but Home Instead stood head and shoulders above the others.
The carers from this service are always kind, friendly and competent. Any issues or niggles are dealt with promptly by the office staff.
I'm fairly young, just turned 50, a stroke survivor so not expecting to need this service but I am not made to feel anything out of the ordinary.
The caregivers from Home Instead are all absolutely brilliant. My aunt had very restricted mobility and needed help with personal care.
They treated her and me, with the utmost dignity. They were all very professional but also very friendly. They put us all at ease.
The care package was set up in one day as I had gone into hospital and knowing that my husband was being looked after was very reassuring.
