Flexicare have been outstanding in the care that they provided for Mum in the last years of her life. The carers were like friends to her and often went above and beyond to look after her. It was clear that they genuinely cared.

As an organisation Flexicare have been brilliant from day one in providing flexible, caring solutions for Mum and previously for Dad, so that my sister and I had the confidence that they were being well looked after. I would recommend them without hesitation.

When Dad relocated to the area, he decided that a bit of help around the house and some daily company would be nice. Having been recommended, we reached out to Flexicare who from the start have provided a first class service. From the first visit we knew we had made the right choice. They took a genuine interest in Dad and wanted to know more about him as well as the level of support he needed. The carers who visit him are excellent. It is as simple as that. Kind and compassionate, they make a very real difference to his quality his life. Visits are well organised and the rota is agreed weekly so it is flexible around Dad's needs with extra visits an option too. The company have more recently extended their offer and there are opportunities for Dad to not only be visited at home but to attend social events run by Flexicare. In short, their name sums up what they do and I would wholeheartedly recommend them. As a family we are delighted with the care and support provided.

For over 10 years Flexicare at Home has been part of my life (since my wife developed dementia and sadly died in 2016) and my son developed healthcare problems which continue to this day. Flexicare at Home have provided care and support of outstanding quality and professionalism. Both management and staff have always been fully approachable and supportive.

The training of staff has led to a high-quality group of carers. During the last ten years I have developed a sincere and deep appreciation of all the care they have provided. Going well beyond the standard expected they have clearly provided excellent support to myself and family. The care provided over the last ten years has been at times very demanding, requiring patience, empathy and professionalism which have always been forthcoming. I have no hesitation or doubt about recommending Flexicare at Home to anyone needing care for a loved one or themselves.

I have been a service user with Flexicare at home for a number of years and would highly recommend them to anyone who needs care. All carers go above and beyond the call of duty, very kind caring and they listen to you as a person as well as attending to your caring needs. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and will do their best to sort out any problems/concerns you may have. The carers are always on time unlike other care companies that I have used in the past. Maybe not the cheapest care company but it's true what they say,you get what you pay for.

My Mum received care from Flexicare in Mirfield for the last 6 months of her life, allowing her to live comfortably and happily at home rather than in residential care, which would have been much more expensive. She loved her carers and came to regard them all as friends, even the ones who only came occasionally. I thought the cost was fairly reasonable, and the carers were all friendly and professional.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, your feedback is greatly appreciated. It was a pleasure supporting your mother to live comfortably at home. We were recommended Flexicare a number of years ago after the company we we're using fell into financial difficulty and my wife has been looked after by Flexicare ever since, all the team are very professional, friendly and courteous, my wife looks forward to seeing her carers each day, they all seem to go "the extra mile" to cater for her complex needs and make her as comfortable as possible, the office team are equally friendly and accommodating should I have the need to speak with them if I myself have any issues, I often speak very highly of the company, they do an excellent job in looking after my wife and I have the confidence and satisfaction to know I can rely on them. I have no hesitation in recommending Flexicare at Home to any potential client.

I couldn't recommend Flexicare enough and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for home care. I had been supporting my Mom for the past few years but as her mobility deteriorates and her dementia advances it had become too much for me to manage without support. I had read some very positive reviews about the company online and I have to say that from my personal experience they are well deserved. From my first contact with the Care Manager through to the individual care professionals who visit daily, all the staff are very care focused and welling to accommodate her needs. Mom now looks forward to her visits and it allows me to send some more quality time with her again. I really appreciate that I get a weekly rota so that I can see who will be visiting and the times that they will be attending. The times are consistent and only a small team of care assistants visit which allows for continuity of care and a rapport to develop which is excellent.

When we finally needed care for my father we were unsure where to go. Luckily we chose Flexicare. I would wholeheartedly recommend Flexicare to anybody looking for care, they really do care from top to bottom of the company. Some of the carers and staff became like family and gave first-class care to my dad. The best recommendation that I can give is that if we had to make the decision again then we would 100% choose Flexicare to look after our dad or any of our family.

Dad's health declined and much to his disappointment we decided carers were needed to help us at home. Dad's carers were very kind and respectful of his needs and went above and beyond to help him mentally and physically. Dad then began to look forward to the cares coming in and helping him, and he built up a good relationship with them. Sadly dad passed away in October but the months we had carers were life-changing.

I have been with Flexicare At Home over the last four years and I wish to convey how happy I am with the company and with the care I have received. Care is always to a high, professional standard and the training they receive reflects this in the delivery of care given. The carers are kind, considerate, pleasant and good time keepers. My dignity and wishes have always been respected. I feel they understand me as a person, not just another person to care for. Eternally indebted for the day my daughter got married when the company worked with me, planning my care so the day went smoothly. The manager, management team, administrators and carers have all been very supportive. I would highly recommend this company.

Having used Flexicare At Home based at Calderpark, Wakefield, for over 2 years, both my mum and I have been very satisfied with the excellent service they provide. All the carers are wonderful and treat Mum, who is 92, with dignity and respect. They carry out their work with great efficiency and discretion.

Flexicare provides a weekly rota detailing who will be caring and the times that they will be making the visits, which I find very useful.

Flexicare At Home have provided excellent care for our mum and dad. They are thoughtful, and considerate and go above and beyond to make sure that all needs are met. They take special care to get to know their clients as people. They looked after our dad in his final months and days and were amazing. The care and support they have given our mum as she grieved and adjusted to living alone has been exceptional. I would definitely recommend Flexicare.

Flexicare At Home have been caring for my Grandma for the last ten years. I could not be happier with the excellent levels of care provided and cannot recommend them enough. The manager and the team are wonderful, so friendly, genuinely caring and professional: I am very grateful to each and every one of them for everything they do for Grandma. Thanks to their ongoing advice and support, we’ve been able to safely keep Grandma at home as her dementia and care needs have increased. They have always been there for her and she loves their company. Nothing is too much trouble for them, I don’t live locally and they have assisted with all aspects of care and wellbeing. Including regular updates, help with shopping, liaising with the GP/nurses, obtaining equipment, hospital visits and prescriptions. They treat Grandma with such respect and compassion, and their support has been amazing.

We chose FlexiCare two years ago to help my brother and I care for Mum at home after checking out the website including the reviews. We work together as a team to enable Mum to have the best possible quality of life despite her frailty. The carers are all amazing, compassionate, professional and efficient. They treat Mum with respect and maintain her dignity at all times.
Infection control measures are robust and staff have kept Mum (who is extremely vulnerable) as safe as possible from Covid and other respiratory illnesses with consistent use of appropriate PPE.
Visits are punctual and not rushed, the management team are easy to contact. Communication is excellent, with handwritten notes from each visit.
FlexiCare is true to its name as we can easily arrange for extra visits to cover for one of us to take a holiday.

Our family will always be grateful to FlexiCare for enabling Mum to remain cheerful and content in her familiar home environment for as long as possible.

Flexicare were recommended to us. We in turn would highly recommend their services. They provided efficient and professional support /office services. Being very easy to contact, courteous and responsive. The carers were of a very high standard. Being very punctual - looking back, we’re are amazed at their timekeeping. They were very reliable and always attended to mum whatever the weather. They were genuinely caring, patient and understanding even when mum’s deteriorating health made her more difficult to deal with. Some of the carers visited mum hundreds of times and one lady had over a thousand visits. It is difficult to convey how grateful we are to these individuals.

Hello, I am Ann.

I have been involved in social care from a young age, volunteering across a variety of settings since my teenage years. This early experience inspired me to make a significant career change, leaving behind a successful 29-year career in business and IT management to pursue a new path in health and social care.

To support this transition, I completed a Psychology Honours degree along with postgraduate studies at the University of Leeds, and I also hold a Level 7 Diploma in Management & Leadership in Health & Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services.

I am passionate about delivering holistic care, with a strong focus on emotional and psychological well-being alongside physical health, and I have a keen interest in the use of assisted technologies. Supporting families and loved ones who act as primary carers is also very important to me.

My research interests include approaches to maintaining emotional well-being, dementia care, and nutrition in later life.

I strongly believe in promoting self-development within the workforce and am committed to supporting learning and training opportunities for all staff.

I have been married since 1978 and have two sons and three grandchildren. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, walking, reading, and visiting my extended family in Ireland.

Hello, I am Kim.

After university, I began my career in IT, working my way up to Technical Director at a successful software house over a period of 10 years. I then went on to work as an independent consultant for a major global bank for over 15 years, gaining a wide range of experience while always focusing on delivering a high level of service.

As Flexicare at Home grew, I joined the business in 2012 as Finance and IT Director to support the company in these areas. Today, I continue to be involved on a part-time basis, looking after the financial side of the business and helping to ensure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes.

Being part of a family-run business is something I value greatly, and I take pride in supporting the team to ensure we can continue delivering reliable, high-quality care to the people we serve.

Outside of work, I enjoy daily walks around Mirfield as well as spending time on the golf course.

Hello, I’m Lindsey.

I began my career in childcare as a nursery nurse and went on to qualify as a SENCO, developing a strong foundation in supporting children with additional needs. I later moved into a home care role, providing specialist support for children with complex clinical needs in their own homes. Through my commitment and experience, I progressed into management and became a Registered Manager, overseeing 32 children’s care packages.

Following the sale of that business, I moved into adult services as a Registered Manager for a domiciliary care provider covering Leeds and Barnsley. In this role, I managed two offices and continued to build on my leadership skills, drawing on my experience across both children’s and adult community care settings.

This journey naturally led me to my current role as Operations Manager at Flexicare at Home, where I’m passionate about delivering high-quality, safe, and truly person-centred care.

I hold a Level 5 Advanced Diploma in Leadership and Management, a Level 4 qualification in Safeguarding, as well as childcare and SENCO qualifications, all of which underpin my approach to delivering effective and compassionate care.

Outside of work, I’m married with two sons, and together with my husband, we run a busy household that also includes two dogs and two cats. I really value my downtime with family, spending time outdoors, walking, mountain biking with the kids, and enjoying football. Sundays, especially, are all about football, where you’ll often find me on the sidelines cheering on my son.

Hello, I’m Michelle, and I have been providing compassionate, attentive care to my clients since 2019 after completing an intense Access to Higher Education Diploma for Healthcare Professionals. Building trusting relationships is at the heart of everything I do, and I take great pride in offering a warm, supportive approach while helping to enhance the well-being of those I care for.

I’ve been fortunate to grow with the Flexicare team over the years, starting as a Care Assistant, progressing to Community Team Leader, and now working as one of the Care Coordinators. It’s been a rewarding journey, and one that reflects my passion for delivering high-quality care.

In my current role, I support the smooth running of the service through care coordination, rota management, and assisting with HR functions. I enjoy being able to support both our clients and our team, and I always aim to approach my work with care, attention to detail, and understanding.

I’m proud to be part of a team that truly values both its clients and its staff.

Karla Tatlisu

Hello,

My name is Karla, and I am happy to be one of the three Care Coordinators at Flexicare at Home and a member of a strong Management Team.

I began my career in education, supporting children with complex needs and disabilities. This role provided valuable experience working alongside multidisciplinary professionals, including speech and language therapists, psychologists, behaviour specialists, and teams at Manchester Children’s Hospital. These experiences helped shape my strong commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

Following a period of travelling, I returned to the UK and, after supporting my grandmother during a decline in her health, felt inspired to transition into adult social care. Since then, I have gained extensive frontline experience, progressing to senior carer and into management roles.

Most recently, I worked in Care Quality Assurance, where I was responsible for monitoring service standards and ensuring compliance with CQC regulations, supporting the delivery of safe, effective, and well-governed care.

I have two Level 3 Diplomas: 1) Care, 2) Child Care and Education. I have certificates in teaching English as a foreign language (TEFL) and teaching English to speakers of other languages (TESOL) and a Diploma in Mindfulness.

I am delighted to be working for Flexicare at Home, a service that clearly prioritises the well-being of its service users and values a supportive team environment.

I look forward to contributing positively to the service.

Hi! I’m Eleanor. I’m originally from Leeds and have recently returned to the UK after a few years living in Australia. I love to travel and am always dreaming about my next adventure.

Professionally, I’ve built my career supporting people with complex mental health needs, alongside experience in disability and aged care. I’ve also worked in residential childcare, which really shaped my approach to person-centred support and working with a wide range of individual needs. Earlier in my career, I worked in sales, which helped me develop strong communication skills and a real passion for building meaningful relationships.

I hold a degree in Counselling and Mental Health, as well as a Level 5 qualification in Management, Coaching and Mentoring. Most recently, I worked as a Service Coordinator in Australia, leading service delivery for 60 clients with disabilities, substance misuse challenges, and complex mental health needs.

I was really drawn to Flexicare at Home not only because of its ethos—it genuinely feels like a diamond in the social care world—but also because of the varied nature of the role. I work alongside the other Care Coordinators, taking turns to support care management, HR, and rota management. Gaining experience across all three areas allows me to fully appreciate everything that goes into providing a high-quality, premium service.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me at a yoga class, listening to music, or making plans with friends. I’m naturally outgoing, love meeting new people, and always enjoy a good laugh.
