When my mother came for palliative care I was deeply concerned for her welfare as she is completely bed-bound after suffering a major stroke and heart attack. However, I have found the care and support given by the staff at Jane Care to be of the highest standard. They are always prepared to go the extra mile, showing mother genuine care and affection which my Mother also greatly appreciates.
I would highly recommend Jane Care to anyone.
The carers treat us with kindness and respect and they are very welcome in our home.
Office manager plus one other staff member came to determine requirements level for client weeks before the start of the holiday cover. A comprehensive list of their needs covering medication, times, dietary needs, ablutions etc was raised, for day care and overnight care.
Two days before care commenced, two staff members providing the day care came to familiarise themselves with the house and client to the client knew who and what they were there for. I was present at the start of care and throughout the week.
My first impressions were of amazement, the staff were happy, jolly, chatty and caring in their demeanour whilst carrying out the allotted tasks of ablutions, food prep and medication. Tolerance persistence and patience at times were very evident with a challenging client.
I thought I could not be more impressed but I was wrong. The overnight staff member arrived and raised the care level to new heights. Their empathy, perseverance, diligence to their job was phenomenal. This was carried on mid-week when a new staff member arrived, who had the same qualities.
Over the past six weeks the care has changed from being poor to wonderful.
They are thorough and attentive and my husband clearly likes them and is as comfortable as he can be with the very personal care he receives from them. It is a pleasure to have them in our home. The fact they are peg trained is a huge bonus saving me worry.
My wife and I were going to Australia for most of March and were worried about leaving my mother alone for such a long period. She is hard of hearing and has previously suffered a stroke. Also, she finds it difficult to walk any distance. Thanks to Jane Care making a short daily visit each morning, we had the reassurance that if she needed anything it would be sorted. Also, the daily attendance gave mum someone to talk to each day. It was a good experience for all and I would certainly use Jane Care again.
Excellent service, the ladies were friendly yet very professional. They made my mother's last days comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. Friendly, trustworthy and genuine carers. I cannot recommend their service enough. Thank you, Jane Care.
The staff were well trained and usually punctual. They were kind and sympathetic and did their best to keep my husband comfortable, which was a challenge because of all his problems.
You should be very proud to employ such lovely girls.
All the carers were excellent and very supportive during an extremely difficult time.
Jane Care offers an excellent service, not only to my mother but to myself. Until they came to help me I struggled to provide all of the care my Mum needed and it made me feel very depressed. I also felt that I was letting my Mum down, but I was determined that she was not going into a care home. Jane Care have allowed me to keep my Mum here. I know that she is being well cared for with regard to her physical needs and this allows me the time to sit with her whilst she has her meals. Their kindness and support is invaluable.
My husband died on the 7th of October after suffering from PSP for the past 5/6 years. The past 12/18months he slowly lost all mobility, speech and was unable to feed himself or perform any personal care.
The care received by him and also by myself was exceptional, very, very caring and with dignity. Particularly during the last 6 months.
Consequently, I have had to complete this survey.
Can't thank this company enough for the end of life care provided to our mother. From all our family we thank them for the five-star treatment my mother received. The carers attention to detail and support was priceless. Thank you.
Our family can not put into words the care and support that Jane Care has delivered. Nothing was too much trouble and they went the extra mile every time. Their compassion still brings a tear to our eyes and they were like family. Dad was not an easy case either, having late-stage dementia was a challenge but the ladies got past that and undertook Dads needs exactly. They all deserve a medal!
I am most grateful for their support through a difficult time covering nearly 6 months, for our family. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.
The service was sincere and caring. Staff were empathetic and thoughtful. They made contact when there were any concerns.
The four carers that have been attending to my mother in law over the last couple of weeks have been amazing, professional and treated her with dignity throughout making my mother in laws end of life very comfortable. They have also been on hand to support myself when I have been worried about situations. They have been a credit to the care agency.
Carers from Jane Care provided end of life care for my mother, They were reliable, cheerful and professional and always made her smile. We were extremely grateful for their support at a difficult time.
Jane Care provided the care for my sister-in-law over a considerable period of time and showed an extraordinary caring and sympathetic approach to their duties. I believe they went beyond what should have been expected and became good friends of all the family.
