Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
We have enjoyed the excellent care service of Pleasant Home care for over a period of 2 years now, for my brother. During this period the service has been highly responsible, responsive and truly reliable. Its been a pleasant change from previous four care providers, whom we had to change, due to constant
worry and concern regarding the care provided. We have had peace of mind with Pleasant Home care and feel confident and happy regarding the care provided to him. Due to his mental health condition and diabetics, it is important that he has his food and medication at right times and the right support is given to him. The carers are friendly and caring and they always do their best for him. They take time to sit and talk to him which helps with his mental health condition. We are able to contact the management freely to discuss issues regarding his care and they take care to implement things accordingly, if needed. They also review his care needs regularly. The staff are well trained and supervised. During the initial assessment, over 2 years ago, the manager had assured us that essential care will be delivered satisfactorily and that has proved to be so true over the 2 years. We have benefited from a great care service which can be trusted with regard to my brothers essential care requirements. The care provided has made positive changes in my brothers life and we are very pleased.
We can confidently recommend Pleasant Home Healthcare to anybody looking for a care provider for their loved one. We wish we had known them earlier.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
We decided to use Pleasant Home Healthcare after reading available reports and recommendations. Dad had become more frail and had suffered a few falls.

The manager met us and our father and we all discussed what was required. She wanted input from all of us. She gave us helpful information about

attendance allowance and help Dad could receive from local OT and Physiotherapy departments. This had not occurred to us. She made an effort to get to know Dad and find out what his needs are. He now receives a short visit from a carer in the mornings and evenings who serves his meals, bathes his legs and makes sure he is ok.

The staff, who visit daily, are all very friendly, pleasant, professional, efficient and reliable. They chat to my father while providing care and treat him with respect. My father is housebound and the staff bring a little bit of the world outside into his house twice a day. At times he is less well or mobile. His state of health can vary. I believe it is reassuring for him to know that someone is coming in every day, to serve that important hot meal, bath his legs so that ulcers do not develop or even retrieve the TV remote control, which has fallen under the chair!

Although we visit Dad many times a week, it's not possible to be there morning and evening every day and we do go away sometimes. We ALL have peace of mind knowing that someone will be visiting and checking that Dad is ok and, if he is not, letting us know.

Dad has received the support from Pleasant Home Healthcare for 6 months now. It is a good service and we know that we can talk things over with the manager or that she will ring us if she is concerned. We are very pleased with the service and wish we had put this in place sooner.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.875)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.875) out of 10 for Pleasant Home Healthcare Ltd is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 15 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.9 out of 5 from 15 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Pleasant Home Healthcare Ltd is calculated as follows: ( (88 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 88 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.05, 7th = 0.05, 8th = 0.05, 9th = 0.05, 10th = 0.05, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025)

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Pleasant Home Healthcare Ltd is based on 15 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4.875
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
