Speaking on behalf of my family we were really pleased to have taken bluebird care to tend to our elderly dad. Every carer was very professional caring and looked after dad. He enjoyed their visits and they always greeted him with a "Hello". The good thing about this company every visit was documented with feedback and communication, which meant we all had peace of mind and dad was settled. We would highly recommend this company. Bluebird provided exceptional care and support for my 95 year old dad, the staff were amazing, always treated him with dignity, respect and compassion. The management team were always very professional. He always looked forward to his visits, they always cheered him up. We are so grateful for their kindness and expertise shown to dad, they really went above and beyond, highly recommend.

Overall, I am completely satisfied with the care my mother receives. My mother feels very comfortable when her carers call which is very reassuring due to her having alzeimers. I am kept regularly informed of care duties undertaken and feel that the app gives me peace of mind with how Mam has been when the carers visit

I have found all the carers at Bluebird uniformly kind, capable + sympathetic. Apart from looking after my mother really well + tailoring their approach to suit her individual needs, they are so friendly! They chat/joke with mum all the time they are helping her + even play her favourite music if she is agitated. They seem concerned with how I'm doing as well! If I have to ring the office, the staff are efficient/courteous + go the extra mile to sort issues.

Excellent service from all the care staff, they go above and beyond. They become family, I love the interaction with my son. I do believe if it wasn't for the amazing care they give, my son wouldn't be where he is today. Excellent service. If we have any problems, I ring the office and they sort it as soon as possible. Bluebird has been very proactive in reacting to changes needed in my mother's care. A package has been in place for some months and the care has been very professional and consistent. I would recommend the company as the staff are exemplary and very caring.

Meet the Team (4)
Bluebird Care South Tyneside is led by David & Kelly Haswell. David & Kelly started delivering homecare in South Tyneside to help support customers in the area to receive homecare and support while remaining in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. Delivering the highest quality of homecare and support is David & Kelly’s absolute goal and the team would be delighted to hear from anyone who is seeking homecare for themselves or for a loved one, or would simply like to talk to someone about the services we provide.
David has gained a BA in Economics and Accounting and a Masters in International Business Management from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Previous to setting up the company, David's work roles included Business Development, as well as Product and Marketing Management.
John has worked in the social care industry in various roles since 1998 and worked his way up from the very bottom to my current post. He has experience in many areas including adult social care, learning disabilities and complex physical disabilities, complex clinical services as well as older peoples and youth sectors.
John will be working closely with the two deputy managers in the branch, Amy and Kayleigh to ensure that they support everyone to deliver the highest quality of care to our customers regardless of if they are End of life, Complex or domiciliary packages. John says "We should always put the customer first and that should drive all we do!".
Rob has been working at Bluebird Care Newcastle and South Tyneside officially since December 2022, where he takes on his role as Training Compliance Manager across all franchises. Rob's role entails everything training, whether it be overseeing all quality and compliance across Bluebird Care Newcastle and South Tyneside or training staff induction training and mandatory training. Rob ensures all staff have the correct training provided to start their career in care. As well as being involved with the training, Rob also designs all the training across all franchises, this will be for Newcastle, South Tyneside, York, and Darlington. Over the years, Rob has always been heavily involved in care, accidentally falling into the role, however, would not want to have it any other way. The most rewarding thing about Rob's role is that he likes “seeing staff come out feeling confident and ready” when starting their journey in care.
In Rob's spare time, he volunteers for the sea cadets and teaches watersports in areas such as canoeing. All about the camping life, Rob is currently renovating his campervan, where he hopes to visit all around England and Wales.
Kayleigh has been working at Bluebird Care Newcastle and South Tyneside since November 2021, where she takes on her role as Deputy Manager. Kayleigh was previously a carer and has been in the industry for 15 years, being in care allows her to continue helping and supporting people. Within her role as Deputy Manager, she oversees care staff and supports them in their future of care, Kayleigh wants to make a difference to the customers and help provide the support needed to the care staff to do so. The key responsibilities within Kayleigh's role include interacting with care staff and helping them excel in the world of care.
In Kayleigh's spare time, she likes to go camping in her campervan, whilst spending time with her family. Also, Kayleigh previously had a business where she created personalised items, this was a hobby that consumed a lot of her time but loved getting involved with crafts.
