As before the experience is heartwarming. It is so great to have people coming to the house who are helpful and friendly and one hopes non-judgmental. They are actually quick to see what needs doing!

Very caring, helpful, professional and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and they are willing to put themselves out to do extra services, eg pickup milk when it was snowing. Very helpful in an emergency which I had recently. I have recommended Home Instead Senior Care (East Notts & Melton Mowbray)
to several other people.

Extremely pleased with all aspects of the service and care given to my wife during the time of our association.
Indeed, some of the carers visited out of their official hours to check that my wife and I were OK.
I could not have found a better company or better staff.

The care provided for my husband is amazing. Having used another provider previously, the difference is unbelievable, top class. I/we rate Home Instead as 'outstanding' and can understand why they earned that title. Thank you Home Instead. A special thank you goes to the carers. They have made me a
very happy lady under the circumstances to which I have to deal with daily.

Went away and left my 94year old Mother (with dementia) with extra care from Home Instead. She was extremely well looked after, taken out to lunch and trips to shops and garden centres. The carers were excellent in their care for my Mother mentally and physically.

With no experience of caring I was totally dependent upon the staff of Home Instead Senior Care for guidance. From initial assessment, which at the time I felt was too personal and intrusive but have come to recognise was an essential step to the present day, I am truly grateful for and delighted with
the help, advice and above all the co-operation I have received from my wife's carer. The essential attributes necessary for a carer to be totally accepted are an efficient management team, to ensure her day to day activities are well organized, a professional attitude towards her duties as a carer and finally a responsible social attitude which I consider to be as important as the other two. We have found in our carer a lady who enjoys the back-up of a superb management team, is an exemplary carer and socially is very good company. Her duties of getting my wife out of bed, showered dressed and groomed is performed with great skill and panache, it is a joy to hear or witness just how effortless it appears to be to accomplish all these tasks when at times my wife is not as co-operative as I would wish. For the way she handles the awkward moments it is obvious she enjoys a wealth of knowledge and experience which she brings to bear in an effortless but well disguised manner. After the "caring duties" are completed it is a pleasure to me and no doubt my wife, to be able to sit for a few minutes with our carer and enjoy each others company. To be able to engage in a wide range of topics and receive interesting responses brings what could well have been a routine and monotonous hour to a very pleasant conclusion and we always part feeling so much better for her visits.

The staff are always ready to go the extra mile - monitoring household supplier and mentioning what needs to be brought. Drawing attention changes in medical condition and providing good friendly companionship. Reliable and punctual. Quite a lot of notice needed for change to hours or extra hours which
can be inconvenient.

I have had three carers during my time with HI and each one has had a different quality and service to offer, from catering, shopping and general help. I cannot praise enough their efficiency, kindness and general support. It makes a big change from previous 'helpers'. I would be happy to leave any
one of them alone in my house and that says it all.

A truly excellent company. Home Instead fulfilled all our reqwuiremtns and more. Absolutely everyone we dealt with administrators, managers and care givers were all extremely helpful, positive, efficient, cheerful and caring. Our initial enquiry was dealt with sensitively and promptly and at all stages
we were kept fully informed. This set the scene for the following year with an amazing, well matched team looking after my father, always professional but kind and caring meeting his every need and enabling my father at 93 years old to remain happily in his own home. When he become ill and increased care levels were required this was again put in place sensitively and promptly maintaining an effective well matched team for my father. Throughout we were kept fully informed with two way communication, easy and effective. Having has a less positive experience with another company Home Instead were a breath of fresh air.

I am very grateful for the excellent personal and home care assistance I receive from Home Instead Senior Care, I applaud their policy of allocating the same carer to client and introducing whenever possible, stand in carers for normal holiday or sickness. This gives confidence in the recognition, punctuality
is much appreciated avoiding stress or worry, although office is quick in telephoning for unavoidable delays. My only question and slight area of concern relates to the lines of communication, when messages are left at office also this can be a hazard in any well run business establishment.

My dad when asked how he rates the standard of care he is receiving said "Brilliant". Think that means he is highly satisfied.

Inspection ratings
We rate most services according to how safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led they are, using four levels:
Outstanding - the service is performing exceptionally well.
Good - the service is performing well and meeting our expectations.
Requires improvement - the service isn't performing as well as it should and we have told the service how it must improve.
Inadequate - the service is performing badly and we've taken enforcement action against the provider of the service.
No rating/under appeal/rating suspended - there are some services which we can't rate, while some might be under appeal from the provider. Suspended ratings are being reviewed by us and will be published soon.
Ticks and crosses
We don't rate every type of service. For services we haven't rated we use ticks and crosses to show whether we've asked them to take further action or taken enforcement action against them.
There's no need for the service to take further action. If this service has not had a CQC inspection since it registered with us, our judgement may be based on our assessment of declarations and evidence supplied by the service.
The service must make improvements.
At least one standard in this area was not being met when we inspected the service and we have taken enforcement action.
Care Quality Commission is responsible for the registration and inspection of social care services in England.
