Thames Care

We can't thank Thames Care enough for supporting us at such short notice. All the carers were very friendly, polite and personal in their duties to a high standard. The only slight downside was the number of different carers that attended the house. However, overall, we had a very positive experience, and we would recommend Thames Care to anyone looking for carers.

Overall, I found the carers very friendly, efficient, polite and caring, and there were times when they exceeded their duties. I miss them and miss their company. It is not only the resident that the carers dealt with but the resident's carer also needs support, which they accomplished.

As Mum had dementia and didn't recognise strangers we requested a regular carer. Thames Care gave us a regular carer which was great and she got to know mum well. They were very supportive and kind, and when we needed more help they supplied it at times that were convenient for us. Always alert to potential problems. Both the carers and the admin staff were great and I would certainly use them again if necessary.

Thames Care were recommended by a neighbour and they have provided care for my father for over three years, before he required additional 24 hour care in a home. We have been very pleased with the quality of care from their kind and efficient staff. In three years, there was never a missed appointment and they were always flexible if additional visits were required. We are very pleased to recommend Thames Care to others.

Thames Care provided a really wonderful service to my auntie. From the very start, they were friendly, professional and caring and my auntie very much enjoyed their visits. They went over and above on several occasions, helping her out and ensuring she was safeguarded. Thames Care provided carers for my father for several years. They have given a very personalised service tailoring the care given to the needs of the client. We engaged Thames Care to support my parents-in-law initially for one visits a day, which later became full live-in care plus working nights 7-days a week. The needs of my father-in-law especially were ever-changing. Thames Care was always willing to approach this in a responsive and proactive way. They adapted care plans and input where needed. There were teething issues at times, which were quickly and calmly resolved. On the whole, the care and support given were excellent.

My family and I are so thankful to Thames Care for the professional and kind support they gave our Mum. They were always flexible and accommodating in Mums changing needs. Mum enjoyed the support they gave her from personal care to companionship visits. Mum always called her support workers my "ladies" - it was a comfort to know that Mum was being given such excellent care. We would hear laughter and chatter with Mum during their visits. In particular, they were unbelievable wonderful in their support of Mum and the family as her health failed, and we moved into palliative care. Supporting Mum with such kindness in her last days, which enable us to support Mum at home. Thank you, Thames Care team.

I have been using the services of Thames Care for just over a year and have been very satisfied, particularly with my individual carer. I have no complaints about the care I receive.

The carers are always polite, pleasant and always ready to respond to any requests. They wear gloves and protective aprons, which they change, if need be, in order to perform a certain task such as applying cream to the legs. The carers arrive punctually and always greet me cheerfully. The idea of having a designated carer is excellent as it gives a heightened sense of security and the knowledge that the care given will be exactly to ones liking.
