Bluebird Care was of critical help when bridging the gap between social services-approved care for our uncle and the date it actually started (two months later) as we were also out of the country and his only family. We were completely assured knowing they were the only people in contact with Uncle as their care, compassion and professionalism were beyond our hopes and expectations. They were the only care provider recommended by his GP as none of her patients has a bad word to say about them (apparently it doesn't get better than that!) We are now continuing to use them for his social services care allowance and are more than happy to top up each week to know he is getting the best care.
Thank you very much indeed for taking the time and trouble to leave us such a wonderful review. Your words are greatly appreciated by all of us and I will ensure they are conveyed to everyone involved in your uncle's care. With kindest regards from all of us.
I am my mum can't commend Bluebird Care Wandsworth enough for the outstanding care Mum's carer provides; she is committed to meeting all of Mum's needs. She is kind, thoughtful, friendly, and professional. She goes out of her way to ensure Mum is holistically cared for and no task is too small. We would also like to commend the customer service manager. She has implemented outstanding client care and support planning towards Mum's care package. This has allowed Mum to retain some independence despite being very disabled. Bluebird Care Wandsworth is lucky to have such great employees.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It means a great deal to us and yes, we are very proud to have such an amazing team. I will of course ensure that your words are passed to all concerned with your mum's care. With very best regards

The office team are efficient, available and kind.
The carers have been delightful. They have taken such good care of the client, patient and thoughtful. Great cooks and what they have achieved over a short time in terms of trust and a relationship with her has been so wonderful.
The experience has only been good and I am totally grateful to the whole team.

She has tried to find the best solution for my aunts situation, both in terms of her care needs but also financially.
She has been quick to respond to any queries and has always been pleasant and friendly.
Very professional all round.
Thank you from all of us, for taking the time to leave us such a brilliant review. I will ensure your words are communicated to everyone involved. With kind regards
My husband had a carer to shower him and dress him five days a week. They were godsends, they treated him with kindness and dignity and listened to everything he said. They helped him to go up and down stairs and helped him with his breakfast. He suffers from Parkinson's and dementia and they showed him patience and respect.
Thank you very much indeed for your wonderful review. It means so much to everyone in the team who work hard to deliver the standard of care you describe. I will ensure that your comments are passed to everyone concerned. With our kindest regards.
Bluebird Care provided to my mother is exceptional. With me living in Ireland and after my mother’s last carer providers were absolutely terrible, I did my research looking for the best care for my mother. A care provider that would give me peace of mind, knowing her needs were met. From the moment we started with Bluebird, nothing is too much trouble. The office staff and area manager listened to the package my mother needed and carried it through. So friendly and helpful. My mother is a lot happier having a permanent carer. Her carer is well presented and friendly with a caring nature. She listens to my mother and chats about everyday stuff. As my mother at the moment is housebound due to a bad fall at Christmas, her carer helps her with her physio, gets shopping, cleans and collects her prescription, etc. She is a credit to Bluebird. Thank you for your excellent service.
Dear Carmel, thank you so much for your wonderful review. We are all so pleased that we've restored you and your mum's faith in care. I will ensure your comments are conveyed to the team. With our kindest regards.
Bluebird discussed the specific needs of my aunt carefully and with sensitivity. They proposed a suitable service and provided a carer who quickly established a good relationship. Excellent so far!
Thank you very much indeed for taking the trouble to leave us a lovely review. I will ensure your comments are passed to everyone concerned. With our kindest regards.
The customer services then visited my brother’s flat and discussed the proposed service with him and me, as I am also caring for him. I was very impressed with the kind, professional and patient way she handled her discussion with my brother.
The carer started work a day later and she has been wonderful. She is very efficient, patient with my brother, and actively encourages him to take charge of aspects of his care.
My brother and I are both delighted with the service and support we have received.
My brother has read this review and he fully endorses it.
Thank you and your brother so much for taking the time and trouble to leave us such a wonderful review. We believe so strongly in enabling and promoting independence wherever possible and we are all so glad that we've been able to make a positive difference. I will ensure your comments are passed on to everyone involved. With our kindest regards.
The nursing staff are very kind and thoughtful towards me. The support staff are very good at setting up the care I needed. The support provided by Bluebird care is very flexible and is adapted to my needs.
Thank you very much indeed for your kind and considered review of our service. With our very best regards.
When my elderly and significantly disabled mother-in-law's live-in carer returned home for a well-earned three week break for Christmas last year, Bluebird was able to help. We were very relieved when they found just the right person for her. She was professional, efficient, caring, respectful and she entered into the spirit of our Christmas festivities with great sensitivity. Thank you Bluebird for once again for providing exactly the help we needed.
Thank you very much indeed for taking the time to write such a wonderful review for us. It is a pleasure to be able to help and I will ensure that your comments are shared with everyone involved. I know they'll be thrilled. With kindest regards.
Bluebird has been really fantastic over the last 6 months providing care and support of mum elderly mum who lives with Dementia. For about 6 years I'd managed to care for mum keeping her in her beloved flat, but as her illness is progressing it became really tough to continue without backup and I called Bluebird. They reacted quickly with a visit from a very experienced customer care manager who understood exactly what was needed and took a lot of trouble to treat mum with respect as an individual. They've since provided night carers every night, and back-up with some day and evenings. We've been lucky enough to have some really first-rate carers. When we have needed help to make any adjustments, Bluebird has been impressively responsive. Thank you for all the support you are giving our family.
Dear Liv, thank you very much indeed for your wonderful review. It is an absolute privilege to care for your lovely mum. I will ensure your comments are passed on to all involved in her care. With our kindest regards.
The service provided to date has been exemplary. Not only have all the staff who have provided care been exceptionally capable and kind they are well managed and the communication (important when one can not be present all the time) has been spot on.
Thank you very much indeed for your wonderful review. We are so happy that our care is meeting expectations. With our kindest regards.
He is quite unsteady on his feet and they accompany him on a walk every week so that he can enjoy some of the outside life that he has missed during the lockdown and now increasingly because of his dementia.
The carers have been thoughtful and understanding, patient and helpful. The management team has done very well in difficult circumstances - trying especially hard to meet our needs while having to adapt to changing staffing levels due to both pingdemic and pandemic. I'm very glad to have their support and would recommend them highly.
Thank you very much indeed for your wonderful and kind review and we appreciate that you understand our Covid world challenges! I will pass your comments to everyone involved in your husband's care. With our kindest regards
Bluebird were very professional and extremely helpful throughout our time using them. The care was exceptional and I felt very reassured that my dad was being well cared for by regular carers who he bonded with.
Thank you very much indeed for taking the time to post your review. With kindest regards, Karina
Inspired confidence, reassurance and empathy during a difficult and emotional time for the patient and family and thereby making the decision easier and more informed for them.
Thank you very much indeed for your kind review. I will ensure your words are passed on to the team. With kindest regards.
I contacted Bluebird for support for my brother who was moving back to London after a year spent shielding with us. My initial contact was by telephone to check if they were able to offer the type of support needed. This experience was extremely positive. I had a long discussion with one of the Directors who, I felt, understood our situation completely. She was very professional but also very kind and understanding and confirmed that Bluebird Wandsworth would be able to meet our needs. We later met their Customer Services Manager once back in London - again, a very reassuring experience for us. She understood exactly what was needed and was positive, constructive, open, friendly and kind. My brother and I really warmed to her and I felt that, at every stage, Bluebird was committed to meeting our needs. We have since had to change our arrangement slightly and I have found them to be very flexible and helpful. I cannot speak too highly of them. They have exceeded my expectations.
Thank you so much Sue for your wonderful review. We are so pleased that we've been able to help and the team will be thrilled to read what you have to say. With kindest regards.
(quite late on a Friday afternoon ) to meeting the Manager for a full assessment the following Monday , to the prompt provision of the carefully selected carers for the complex care needs of my husband. The carers were excellent and we liked the effort to ensure continuity of carers. The communication with the office was efficient and reassuring.
Bluebird is an excellent provider which we would recommend without hesitation. Thank you!
Thank you very much indeed for your wonderful review. Comments such as yours are always guaranteed to put smiles on the faces of the whole team and we are so happy to be of help. With kindest regards.
An excellent and efficient service from enquiry to completion. All issues were attended to as hoped. The staff were concerned, attentive and understand the nature of the engagement. It was a very helpful and useful experience.
Thank you very much for your review, which I will ensure is shared with the team. Our kindest regards.
Engaging a Care Provider for an aged parent is a very stressful thing to have to sort out. Which company to employ, cost of care, level of care required etc. We were recommended by our local council to discuss with Bluebird and having no knowledge of the care industry we decided to go with them. Bluebird (Wandsworth) was very understanding and offered very good advice. They made the process easy and the carers provided the help our mother needed at the time. We started with 2 x 1 hourly visits a day some 3 years ago and now have a full-time live-in carer. Our mother's full-time carer is everything we could have wished for. Genuine care and support to not only our mother but to us as well. We have complete faith and trust in her in looking after mum in these difficult times. When she had a holiday the stand in carer was equally very good which made the transition less stressful for mum and us.
Thank you very much for your kind review. We appreciate just how confusing it is to know where to start when organising care and support for the first time. In addition, we turn away over 94% of those who apply to us as they simply don't meet our standards. I'm so glad that your mum is receiving the standard of care she deserves. With kind regards.

Meet the Team (8)
Like many people, I switched my career to Health & Social Care after a member of my family had a very poor experience. In this case, it was my grandparent who was in a care home. My initial career started in solar energy design back home in Yorkshire, but now I couldn't imagine working in any other sector.
I moved to London with my partner and joined a small complex care company initially as a Field Care Supervisor and then Area Care Manager. By studying independently at the same time, I ultimately achieved my goal to become a Registered Care Manager.
I feel lucky to have supported the people we care for across all levels, from delivering care myself to operational management. This has given me a huge insight and appreciation for the hard work our carers carry out on a daily basis, and the support our customers need to remain comfortable and safe in their own homes.
It’s a privilege to lead such a successful and dedicated team and to share in our fantastic reputation for care as it should be.
As a mum to two young daughters, I initially joined the team as a part-time administrator. Over time, I progressed into the role of Head of Recruitment, growing alongside this family company as my own girls grew up. Today, I’m proud to be the full-time Business Manager and Director.
I remain closely involved with our wonderful carers—many of whom have been with us for years—and I love seeing the individual journeys they take from the day they start working with us.
I’m amusually the first point of contact for people enquiring about our services, a role I take incredibly seriously. I was once in that same position myself, unsure where to start and needing help for my own mum. I know just how daunting and confusing the process can feel.
Because of that experience, it’s deeply important to me that no one feels as overwhelmed as I once did. I’m committed to offering the very best advice and support I can.
It’s truly a privilege to do what I do.
My interest in care began at school, where I studied Health and Social Care. After continuing on to college and completing my NVQs, I began working in a care home. It didn’t take long to realise that working with people in a care home wasn’t for me – they should be in their own homes.
My great-grandmother, unfortunately, had a bad experience with care, and this made me want to prove that not all care is of a poor standard. I began working as a carer for Bluebird Care and worked my way up.
I certainly feel I am fulfilling my ambition. I am really proud of the work that we all do here, and we are most certainly proving to people that high-quality care is out there.
I'm now Customer Services Manager. It’s hugely rewarding to make such a difference to others. I truly enjoy my work and am thankful to Bluebird Care for allowing me to do what I love.
Started as a carer in 2019.
I had worked in retail for some years when my son had an accident and needed my help, and that was when I realised I'd been in the wrong profession all along!
I have been with Bluebird Care for some years now, and initially started as a Carer and then worked my way up. Making a difference in someone's life is just so rewarding, and you get to meet the most interesting and wonderful characters. It's all about people, which I love.
As Care Supervisor, I lead our Bluebird Care rapid response Home from Hospital discharge service, working with the CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group). I go out and assess the needs of the person leaving the hospital and ensure everything is ready for them to come home and start their road to recovery with us. I love it!
This part of my work as a Care Supervisor is all about teamwork with my beautiful Bluebird Care family.
Organisation is always challenging, but every day is different.
Just to know I can make someone happy by getting them back into their own environment and see them with a smile on their face means I have done my job well.
Seeing the difference we make to people - seeing the change in their faces when we look after them and give them what they need, reassuring them.
It’s a privilege to be able to contribute towards supporting people to stay in their own homes, staying where they want to be.
It’s my life, I love what I do!
Susan manages and supports care workers, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care delivery in the community by conducting assessments, providing in-the-moment training/supervision (like inductions, appraisals, mentoring), and ensuring compliance with standards, blending field visits with care duties to bridge communication and quality between management and carers.
Working for Bluebird Care, I realised immediately that looking for Care Assistants was a much more personal experience than I had had before in my career.
While I am familiar with the reality of having someone you love looking after by less than committed strangers, I now have the opportunity to make a difference in this for other people.
Becoming a Care Assistant is not something that only training can create. Finding the wonderful people who have the natural warmth, empathy and initiative to provide the support, encouragement and care that makes the difference to each individual, is challenging and intense.
I am usually the first contact, and so I get to know every carer who comes to us individually. Our Care Manager conducts the second interview, and then each successful person is invited to join us to train as if we were choosing someone personally important to us.
I support the new carers during training and watch them become respected and vital members of our team. Training is ongoing, and most visit the office often, sometimes for updates and sometimes just to chat in the warm, friendly atmosphere of the office.
It gives me an enormous boost that I have a part to play in enabling people to remain at home in familiar surroundings in a dignified way. That the ladies and gentlemen that I first chatted to by phone, email and at recruitment events are making such a difference to so many people’s lives.
Outside of work, I’m a busy wife and mum, spending much of my time supporting my two beautiful daughters with their sport, dancing and singing. My own interests include travelling, dancing, listening to music, reading and cooking!
I love being around family and friends, and I include my work colleagues in that! I feel very lucky; I have a wonderful family and a great job.
