Bluebird has a strong market brand and my own involvement with Bluebird has strengthened my view that this is a first-class care agency. Bluebird have only been providing care services for my Mum for a little under a month but already I know I have made the right decision to use Bluebird. First and foremost, my Mum’s 2 careers, have been excellent, providing exactly the requested service in a cheerful and effective way. It is a source of comfort knowing that either one of the carers is fixing my Mum each day. In all my dealings with the wider Bluebird team, they have proven to be responsive and flexible in meeting my Mum’s needs.
Thank you very much indeed for your review. We are so pleased that our carers are making such a positive difference. We typically only recruit around 6 out of every 100 who apply to us for work as we are so focused on employing the right people. I'll make sure your comments are passed to the team. With kindest regards
All the carers sent by Bluebird were really fantastic in very difficult circumstances. One, in particular, was with my brother, who has suffered a horrendous stroke, for over 2 years and enhanced his life no end. All have been very caring and professional - the carers, as well as the management and I, would highly recommend anybody to use this wonderful agency.
Thank you so much, Carol. We are extremely grateful for your kind words which will be passed on to the team. With kindest regards.
Bluebird have had full-time carers looking after my brother, who has had a stroke, for the past four years and I cannot fault them. All the carers have been exceptional, sometimes under very difficult circumstances. The staff at Bluebird always kept me informed of who was looking after my brother and any other information they thought I should be aware of. As a caring agency, I cannot recommend them highly enough and if ever I needed a carer, I would certainly go to Bluebird.
Thank you so much for your kind words which will be passed on to our team. It's a privilege to support your brother. With kindest regards.
The office staff through to the carers who have attended daily to my sick Mother are exceptional in providing a high standard of care. I find their level of service and care to be outstanding! The office staff are very caring and supportive which transcends through to the carers. The carers who attend to my Mother daily are friendly and highly professional and have a great relationship with her.
Overall, we are very happy to have them as our care providers and would highly recommend them!
Rama thank you very much indeed for your wonderful review. Your mum's wellbeing is so important to us and our carers are so fond of her. With kind regards.
I was offered 12 hours of respite care for my elderly mother (96) who I am a carer for. Her needs had recently increased a great deal and I was getting overwhelmed with trying to see to her, my own family, my work in child protection and suffering from an illness myself, compounded my situation. Bluebird care were amazing. They heard my plea and took details about my needs and information about my mother. They matched my mother to a wonderful carer, who I met with my mother. My mother, who was suffering from high anxiety and many other conditions, took to her carer immediately and when I left, they were planning their next meeting. As a result, I had time to catch up with many things and begin to re-charge my batteries, which were very low. I will be applying for more care for my mother, as the service is excellent and professional. The interactions I had were very considerate and done with good humour and warmth. I recommend Bluebird highly.
We are all so very pleased to help you and your mum as we really appreciate how stressful life is as a full-time carer. We are genuinely thrilled that you are gradually getting your vavavoom back! With kindest regards
There is continuity of the same carers so that my mother is able to feel familiarity and recognition when they arrive. The links with the office and management are very good indeed.
Thank you so much for your review. We all try incredibly hard to deliver the same standard of care we would wish for ourselves and I'm glad that we achieve our goal. Our team are all handpicked for their attitude and compassion and then trained to exceed expectations wherever possible. With kindest regards.
Once Bluebird was informed, there was a smooth transition between companionship and personal care which includes assisting mum to have a bath with the assistance of an electrically-powered bath chair which mum enjoys immensely. Mum still manages to get out albeit in a wheelchair as opposed to walking and this is only made possible by the carer who is more than happy to do whatever mum wants to do.
I feel I can go to work knowing that mum is in 'good hands' and the fact that she is happy and content when I return is a testament to the care she receives.
Sharon, thank you so much for your lovely review and we are so happy to be able to make such a positive impact on your mum's quality of life. With kindest regards.
I have known the manager at Bluebird for over 5 years now since we first needed support as Mum came out of hospital. At each stage of our journey, she has found the right person for us and has helped us with managing relationships with health and other support services. The on-call staff know us as a family and are always calm and reassuring, ready to deal with whatever has befallen us.
I cannot praise the team highly enough.
Alexis, we are all so grateful for your recognition and praise. We all from the top-down, take so much pride in what we do and try to lead by example. It's a privilege to care for your mum. With kindest regards.
I am very pleased with the care my mother has received from Bluebird Care Wandsworth over the last 9 months. Given the current circumstances with Covid 19, the care provided has been consistent and supportive. My mother finds her careers very kind and helpful.
Thank you, Meriel. The current times are extremely challenging but we still do all we can to maintain continuity and high standards. Thank you for noticing and recognising the difficulties we face. With kindest regards.
Everyone I have dealt with has been professional and caring and extremely helpful. I feel confident that my friend is receiving the best care possible and I am so grateful. I know my friend now feels safe in her own home and is eating much better than she was.
Maria thank you very much indeed for such kind words. I will ensure that they are passed on to the team. With kindest regards.
The carers are punctual. We have used the same carers a couple of times and they were both punctual. The first time around they arrived much earlier as they said they try to anticipate any issues with traffic and or public transport. The carers were also experienced. They knew how to use the equipment in place to help my disabled husband. It felt to me that they were well trained. It felt safe to leave my husband with the carer alone for a few hours, so I could get some respite. When I got back home I noticed that my husband was settled and calm. He had also been fed and the carer made sure he had been hydrated. As far as customer service and management are concerned, I feel that they really try their best to accommodate me when I ring to book a carer.
Providing respite care is something we feel very strongly about as we appreciate just how challenging - and exhausting - the role of full-time carer to a family member can be. Thank you so much for your review and we are so very glad we are able to support you. With kindest regards.
I think it would help to understand if I told you about myself, I have extreme mobility issues and have to be taken out in a wheelchair and at times in my home.
I am weeks away from being 82 years old have a lively brain and determined to get out and enjoy myself. My carer makes all this happen for me.
Thank you very much indeed for your kind words. It is a privilege to support you. I will ensure your comments are passed to the team. With kindest regards.
Throughout Covid, the carers have respected safety procedures to keep the virus at bay in the client’s home.
The Bluebird Care management team quickly responded to Coronavirus by putting safety measures in place for their carers and issuing PPE for all visits.
If more care is required for either a short period or long term, this will be sorted out very efficiently.
Thank you for your very kind comments and also your observations regarding PPE during the pandemic. We are proud to tell you that the Care Quality Commission awarded us a score of 100% in our preparedness and ability to deliver care safely during the Covid 19 crisis.
We have used Bluebird Care Wandsworth for several years on a weekly basis and recently had to make some urgent changes to increase care to multiple times per day. We are extremely impressed with the way in which Dad has been treated throughout his time of using Bluebird. For the most part, changes have been handled swiftly and efficiently. Being able to access the care notes in OpenPass has been a godsend when I've not been in a position to visit, to keep abreast of Dad's care. Bluebird clearly has an amazing vetting process because they seem to have a knack of selecting really excellent carers. I have been so impressed with the gentle, dignified and joyous way that they look after Dad, at a difficult time in his life and suddenly needing so much care. It is wonderful as a family member to know that he is being cared for so well. I would recommend Bluebird without reservation.
Caroline, thank you very much indeed for your kind review and yes, you would be surprised to learn that we turn away over 94% of those who apply to us for work as they are simply not up to our standards. We really treasure and take care of the 6% who are exceptional! I will ensure that your comments are passed to those concerned with your dad's care. With kindest regards
Bluebird ensured that the care was amended to reflect the change in Mum's needs.
Mum has had her current carer for 2 years and she is very caring and makes my mum smile. It is a big help to us as a family to know that my mum is happy and well looked after whilst we are at work. Nothing is too much trouble for the carer.
Sarah thank you so much for your wonderful review. I will make sure that your words are conveyed to everyone involved in your mum's care. With kindest regards.
Excellent service. Very proactive around changes in the medical condition and therefore the needs of my parents. I have been really impressed by the standard of care provided. My coordinator has been fantastic, going the extra mile to ensure Mum and Dad are supported.
Your review is very much appreciated, thank you and I will ensure your comments are passed to the whole team. With kind regards
Bluebird has been wonderful in looking after both our parents. They take care to create a care plan that takes into account all the needs of the client and, with us, has changed this regularly as the needs of our parents have become increasingly complex. In terms of the carers themselves, I couldn’t rate them highly enough. Without exception, every carer has been compassionate, understanding, gentle and without judgement. We are so grateful.
Thank you very much indeed for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review and we will ensure your comments are passed on to the team.
I instructed Bluebird under very difficult circumstances for all involved. Not only was it in the middle of Covid and all the restrictions it entails, but my cousin had also recently lost his mother/primary carer to the virus. The support we experienced from the outset was exceptional. Bluebird went out of their way to source the most appropriate carer for my cousin who is male and relatively young (aged 54) requiring 24/7 support. They found a male carer of a similar age. The gentleman in question has been an absolute star. He has ensured my cousin is getting all the services/equipment he is entitled to. The property has never looked as clean/managed (he's even sorted the garden). I am kept fully up to date/consulted where relevant. The most important thing is my cousin is safe and happy. I cannot thank all the staff enough for their exemplary service.
Thank you very much indeed for your kind review. Your feedback is so much appreciated by all of us and we will ensure that your words are conveyed. With kindest regards from the whole team.
I have been using different agencies for the care user over the past 3 or 4 years with varied results until we found the Bluebird agency some 18 months ago. We are now completely delighted with the care package they provide us and I feel very confident that, as Power of Attorney, my duty of care to the user is being met securely and happily.
Thank you very much indeed for your kind review. It is very much appreciated by the whole team.
There were many logistical problems in trying to sort care for my Mum, but Bluebird were really understanding and flexible enabling what we needed to be put in place very quickly. As to our live-in carer, I can’t praise her highly enough, she went way beyond the call of duty caring for my Mum but in supporting me as well. I will be eternally grateful for her help.
Thank you very much indeed for your wonderful review. With our kindest regards, the Bluebird Care team.

Meet the Team (8)
Like many people, I switched my career to Health & Social Care after a member of my family had a very poor experience. In this case, it was my grandparent who was in a care home. My initial career started in solar energy design back home in Yorkshire, but now I couldn't imagine working in any other sector.
I moved to London with my partner and joined a small complex care company initially as a Field Care Supervisor and then Area Care Manager. By studying independently at the same time, I ultimately achieved my goal to become a Registered Care Manager.
I feel lucky to have supported the people we care for across all levels, from delivering care myself to operational management. This has given me a huge insight and appreciation for the hard work our carers carry out on a daily basis, and the support our customers need to remain comfortable and safe in their own homes.
It’s a privilege to lead such a successful and dedicated team and to share in our fantastic reputation for care as it should be.
As a mum to two young daughters, I initially joined the team as a part-time administrator. Over time, I progressed into the role of Head of Recruitment, growing alongside this family company as my own girls grew up. Today, I’m proud to be the full-time Business Manager and Director.
I remain closely involved with our wonderful carers—many of whom have been with us for years—and I love seeing the individual journeys they take from the day they start working with us.
I’m amusually the first point of contact for people enquiring about our services, a role I take incredibly seriously. I was once in that same position myself, unsure where to start and needing help for my own mum. I know just how daunting and confusing the process can feel.
Because of that experience, it’s deeply important to me that no one feels as overwhelmed as I once did. I’m committed to offering the very best advice and support I can.
It’s truly a privilege to do what I do.
My interest in care began at school, where I studied Health and Social Care. After continuing on to college and completing my NVQs, I began working in a care home. It didn’t take long to realise that working with people in a care home wasn’t for me – they should be in their own homes.
My great-grandmother, unfortunately, had a bad experience with care, and this made me want to prove that not all care is of a poor standard. I began working as a carer for Bluebird Care and worked my way up.
I certainly feel I am fulfilling my ambition. I am really proud of the work that we all do here, and we are most certainly proving to people that high-quality care is out there.
I'm now Customer Services Manager. It’s hugely rewarding to make such a difference to others. I truly enjoy my work and am thankful to Bluebird Care for allowing me to do what I love.
Started as a carer in 2019.
I had worked in retail for some years when my son had an accident and needed my help, and that was when I realised I'd been in the wrong profession all along!
I have been with Bluebird Care for some years now, and initially started as a Carer and then worked my way up. Making a difference in someone's life is just so rewarding, and you get to meet the most interesting and wonderful characters. It's all about people, which I love.
As Care Supervisor, I lead our Bluebird Care rapid response Home from Hospital discharge service, working with the CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group). I go out and assess the needs of the person leaving the hospital and ensure everything is ready for them to come home and start their road to recovery with us. I love it!
This part of my work as a Care Supervisor is all about teamwork with my beautiful Bluebird Care family.
Organisation is always challenging, but every day is different.
Just to know I can make someone happy by getting them back into their own environment and see them with a smile on their face means I have done my job well.
Seeing the difference we make to people - seeing the change in their faces when we look after them and give them what they need, reassuring them.
It’s a privilege to be able to contribute towards supporting people to stay in their own homes, staying where they want to be.
It’s my life, I love what I do!
Susan manages and supports care workers, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care delivery in the community by conducting assessments, providing in-the-moment training/supervision (like inductions, appraisals, mentoring), and ensuring compliance with standards, blending field visits with care duties to bridge communication and quality between management and carers.
Working for Bluebird Care, I realised immediately that looking for Care Assistants was a much more personal experience than I had had before in my career.
While I am familiar with the reality of having someone you love looking after by less than committed strangers, I now have the opportunity to make a difference in this for other people.
Becoming a Care Assistant is not something that only training can create. Finding the wonderful people who have the natural warmth, empathy and initiative to provide the support, encouragement and care that makes the difference to each individual, is challenging and intense.
I am usually the first contact, and so I get to know every carer who comes to us individually. Our Care Manager conducts the second interview, and then each successful person is invited to join us to train as if we were choosing someone personally important to us.
I support the new carers during training and watch them become respected and vital members of our team. Training is ongoing, and most visit the office often, sometimes for updates and sometimes just to chat in the warm, friendly atmosphere of the office.
It gives me an enormous boost that I have a part to play in enabling people to remain at home in familiar surroundings in a dignified way. That the ladies and gentlemen that I first chatted to by phone, email and at recruitment events are making such a difference to so many people’s lives.
Outside of work, I’m a busy wife and mum, spending much of my time supporting my two beautiful daughters with their sport, dancing and singing. My own interests include travelling, dancing, listening to music, reading and cooking!
I love being around family and friends, and I include my work colleagues in that! I feel very lucky; I have a wonderful family and a great job.
