From the administration point of view the company was efficient, timely and responsive when we first arranged care, and again when we needed to increase it. Additional visits were put into place quickly.
Carers were 100% reliable in appointments, and in the care they gave. Home Instead ensure that the care given is personalised for each client, and reflects the changing needs of clients. Carers were professional, yet friendly. They seemed to tune into my father's needs on a daily basis.
Home Instead enabled my father to stay in his own home for as long as possible. At 91 he has just gone into residential care, with the feeling that Home Instead carers extended his time in his own home. Thank you so much.
Thank you Lynne for your lovely review, I'll share your comments with our Caregivers. This has made our Christmas! Best wishes to you and your father for the future. Gill and all the team.
Staff are well trained and demonstrate high levels of functional competence and respects dignity and difference in their interactions with clients.
Overall, the frameworks and systems set up are compliant with regulatory protocols and the service excels minimum standards.
Administration quick and accurate.
The carer was courteous, extremely able and a pleasure to have in the house.
Would thoroughly recommend.
From the first meeting, Home Instead made a very good impression of caring and treating my mother with dignity during the time she needed extra support. The caregivers were always efficient and very friendly towards me and my mother. If ever there was a problem or concern, I was informed immediately via email or telephone. I know Mum looked forward to their daily visits, which helped relieve her boredom as she lives on her own. I would not hesitate in recommending Home Instead to whoever may need their services in the future.
I have been more than happy with the level of care given to my mum and although she no longer needs the care I will certainly use the company again. I will also be recommending the service to anyone else needing a high quality of care. The caregivers went above and beyond and the office staff always very friendly and extremely helpful. My mum was treated more like a family member rather than just a client and this is the highest praise I can give.
The care my mother received from the home carers was always good. Any routines that we put in place such as personal care, showering, bedtimes, keys etc were adhered to which was helpful. Establishing the routines around my mother's dementia did make life a bit easier.
The care giver had a warm and bubbly personality with the ability to handle her client with respect and tact and apply distraction techniques where applicable to ensure the personal care requirements were met. Excellent.
Home Instead Senior Care supply consistency with competent carers who go the extra mile. The office is well managed. Carers know what they are doing and understand the needs of my father who has dementia. Would have no hesitation in recommending them. Having used other care agencies, Home Instead Senior Care stand out a mile in terms of quality.
My family and I cannot fault Home Instead. The staff have always been extremely helpful, kind and thoughtful. Whenever we have asked for extra care, it has been covered with no bother at all. The feedback I have received as the daughter has been excellent. Mum has had one care giver from day one which has been a great comfort to her. Her other carer has also been with her for most of the five years. Both have looked after my Mum with the utmost kindness, looking after her every need, which has taken a lot of the worry from me too.
I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead.
Thank you so much for your care of and visits to my father. Your care for him at home and visits that continued after we moved into a residential home were much appreciated. Knowing you were there for him was very reassuring for the family.
My mother was becoming increasingly lonely and the home she was in recommended Home Instead. They were very professional in making the arrangements and selected someone who got to know my mother well in a short period of time. Unfortunately, for reasons unconnected my mother has moved out of the area and so the arrangement has come to an end.
I have been using Home Instead Senior Care, Farnborough since the start of 2014 for my mother who has Fronto- Temporal Dementia. Her care began as one visit a week and by the end of the time, she was still receiving in-home care up to 3 times a day. For the past year mum has been in a residential care home but her most regular Home Instead Care Giver has continued to visit mum once a week to take her out for a drive.
They were very understanding of her needs and very receptive to her individual requirements. They made great efforts to ensure the Care Givers provided to mum were appropriate for her personality and did their best to minimise any disruption or confusion to mum that may have arisen from adding multiple carers as time went on. They were also flexible to mum's different needs and interests as her condition deteriorated.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Home Instead to anyone else considering in-home care for a dementia sufferer.
They have been reliable, caring and very approachable. The caregivers were consistently the same ladies which provided stability and consistency which is very important for people with dementia.
The office has happily changed schedules and actioned requests very swiftly.
I could not recommend home instead highly enough. They have been an important part of keeping my mother in law at home for as long as was safely possible.
Thank you for all you have done, we as a family are very grateful for such good quality service and care.
The Carers were considered, compassionate, and efficient.
Also, I found the Care Plan was incredibly well written and the writer was able to interpret and identify all my needs from the initial assessment.
Finally, Home Instead Senior Care were able to efficiently accommodate changes to care patterns effectively & quickly.
I would recommend Home Instead. The care my husband received was excellent. All the carers who looked after him were very kind and supportive and it was much appreciated. They were sensitive to all his needs.
From my first visit with the assessor from Home Instead Senior Care I was impressed with the way they went to pains to discover the likes and dislikes of my mother resulting in a well matched carer being employed. The carer has also read my mothers notes and was able to engage her in a meaningful conversation. I also liked the fact that the carer was introduced to both my mother and myself before commencing her visits. I received a courtesy phone call after 4 weeks of visits to check all was well, which I feel was a reassuring touch. All in all I would recommend this agency.
The carers were all very caring and very professional. They appeared to be well trained and quickly grasped what needed to be done. We will miss them. I would have no hesitation in employing any of them again.
Home Instead have assisted in mum's care for the last eight months. I have found them both professional and caring. The carer has been the same person throughout which is a big bonus, because mum has Alzheimer's and finds changing cares a real problem. I thoroughly recommend Home Instead!
I was impressed with the patience, understanding and respect shown to my mother, from the very first meeting with Home Instead personnel. Unfortunately, through no fault of theirs, my mother contracted an infection which required hospitalisation. On advice from the hospital and friends it was decided to get my mother into a residential care home which precluded the need for Home Instead to continue their visits.
The care and support provided by this agency have improved my mother's quality of life considerably. She has built good relationships with the carers and looks forward to their visits which have given her day valuable structure. The carers have proved to be reliable and professional yet warm and very caring in their approach.

Meet the Team (11)
Hi, I’m Mahdi, and I have been the Director of Care and Continuous Improvements Officer at the Home Instead Farnborough office since December 2017.
I have an Iranian heritage, and before joining Home Instead, I spent 10 years of my professional career working in the engineering and energy sector – quite a natural choice for somebody originally from that part of the world! Whilst it was a stimulating industry to work in, where there is a fast pace and travelling, I ultimately realised something was missing. I found myself looking to settle down in one place and do something more personally fulfilling, something that would involve giving back to the community.
There was also another reason that made me start thinking about change. During my time as an undergraduate student at the University of Cardiff, I lived with a couple who became like my second parents. They are now in their mid-seventies, and being still regularly in touch with them, I have witnessed how their health and physical strength are gradually deteriorating. That and the story of my wife’s (Natalia) grandmother ensured me that involvement in elderly care could just be that rewarding new path in my career that I had been looking for.
I am grateful to have a wonderful office team by my side, as well as exceptionally caring CAREgivers who are really passionate about helping and sensitive to the needs of our clients. It is heart-warming to hear from our clients and/or their families how happy they are and that, thanks to us, they can live independently in the safety of their own homes for longer. You really feel then that all the work is worthwhile! I also embrace the opportunity of meeting members of the local community in church groups, community centres, charities and so on to tell them about the great things we do.
In my free time, I enjoy spending most of my time with my wife, whether it is during outdoor walks, cooking together, watching a movie or travelling!
I started in care due to the flexibility with young children, but over time I have progressed to GM and Group Registered Manager. I'm grateful for the opportunities I have been given over the past 5 years. I LOVE my job, I love the different tasks, I love the variety.
I believe great care starts with great relationships. With 14 years of experience in complex care, my focus is always on making sure our clients feel safe, valued, and truly at home.
Building genuine trust with clients and families is what drives me. I work closely with everyone to make sure care plans feel personal, and that clients and Care Professionals are perfectly matched.
Getting the details right matters, not just for standards, but because our clients deserve to feel completely safe. I bring over 20 years of sector experience to making sure every aspect of care is something families can rely on.
I love being out in the community supporting our Care Professionals day to day. Whether that's mentoring someone new or making sure a care plan is working well in practice, this is where I'm happiest.
Welcoming new Care Professionals and watching their confidence grow is genuinely one of the best parts of my role. I love that moment when the training clicks and they head out ready to make a real difference.
My focus is on making sure every new Care Professional feels genuinely supported from day one. A positive, encouraging environment makes all the difference, and I love seeing our team grow in confidence.
Behind every visit running smoothly, there's a lot of careful coordination. I've been part of the Home Instead team for 12 years and take real pride in making sure every schedule brings reliability and peace of mind.
I'm often the first person a family speaks to, and I never take that lightly. My background is in care, so I understand what families are going through, and I'm here to help them find the right support.
Matching the right person for 24/7 live-in care takes real care and attention. I work hard to find companions who bring not just practical support, but genuine warmth and consistency to every home.
