The love, care and support they gave my father was incredible. I know Dad could not have wished for more and our family will be forever grateful for what they did to look after him in his home.
The care professionals were exceptional in their own unique way and - on reflection - they gave as much love and support to me and my family as they did for Dad.
There are not enough stars to give on this feedback so I will have to go with 5.
Thank you.
Cannot recommend you highly enough.
Many thanks.
The care pros provided care for my Dad who passed away with liver cancer in February 2024. My need needed round-the-clock care for 12 months and as was his wish, he wanted to die at home.
Home Instead were there every step of the way, providing personal care, administering medication, house chores and shopping but also being emotionally supportive to my dad and our whole family.
We got to know the care team very well and feel they went above and beyond to make Dad's last months as comfortable as they could be.
Thank you very much everyone at the company from myself and our whole family.
Excellent and exceeded expectations. We had tried another care provider and this failed. We were informed that it was now likely the only option was a care home. We found Home Instead who had excellent ratings in all domains of their CQC assessment. They completely turned the situation around. My mother-in-law is now very happy, safe and very well cared for in her own home.
We are so very happy to hear that our wonderful care pros and key players have been able to assist your mother-in-law in staying happy and safe in her own home! Thank you for the kind words!
Excellent, well-trained and caring staff took the time to care for my dad when he returned from hospital for palliative care. The expense was worth it to know my Dad was surrounded by professional carers.
We are pleased that our dedicated Care Professionals and Key Players were able to make a difference and support your dad with high quality palliative care and support, at a most difficult time.
The carers were very friendly, chatty and really professional at their job. The personal thing that Mum really enjoyed was that the ladies remembered all her own specific requirements like: how she enjoyed her tea/coffee, breakfast, showering details etc. She did not have to explain everything over and over. Even her bed was made up exactly to her needs and liking.
Carers were never rushed. Mum got the full-time she was paying for, if there was a delay or hitch in the schedule the office would let us know. 4 months now and progress is good. Thank you!
Thank you for the kind words! It is so great to hear that you have had a smooth experience with our Key Player right from the very first line of communication with the team. Even more amazing is to hear how well our team of Care Professionals have treated your Mum with respect and dignity, making sure to meet all her required needs!
Better than any other company I have heard about.
Fantastic, person centered, holistic support was provided to Mum throughout all care received. Would highly recommend Home Instead. All staff treated Mum with dignity and respect. Thank you for all of the support.
Most of the time my carers are good but I do wish I had fewer carers. It is better to get to know your carers well and I don't like too many changes.
Thank you for the commendation, it is most kind of you. Holidays, sickness and absence levels can occasionally be challenging but we are delighted that you are now entering your ninth year with us.
Have experienced just what I needed - friendliness and help with various jobs that I find difficult and in my case most helpfully escorting me to hospital and doctors appointments. The variety of tasks undertaken and the pleasant manner in which they're carried out is excellent.
I have just done a review of Mum's current and immediate future care. I am very happy with this current care plan. My mum is treated kindly and with dignity by a small team of well trained carers. They act as Mum's friends and have become an important part of her day. This has meant Mum can remain at home which has always been her wish.
Excellent service provided by staff and management. The kindness and compassion shown to our mum was wonderful. The whole team were so friendly and supportive. All our requests were dealt with quickly and professionally. Thank you for all your help.
A big thank you.
Mum is very happy with the Care providers who visit her at home. They are warm, friendly and caring. She loves their company and the support that they give. For my part communication is good. Office staff check when there’s an issue and are helpful when I phone. I love the app that lets me see how things are going at each visit and check on day to day progress.
We have had many staff in that time to come and go, but always, we were wonderfully taken care of. The pandemic cause dreadful problems, but like a family, we struggled through. My husband now has to go into care we will miss your great staff!
Supportive and caring. The staff take their time to attend to the needs of Mum, never rushed. They are friendly and chatty with her, which brightens up her day from the start.
We as a family have always found Home Instead staff to be courteous and very caring. The staff on the phone are a pleasure to deal with. We would certainly recommend their service to anyone requiring help. Nothing is too much trouble for any staff from the office to care in the home. Big thanks to everyone.
Home Instead are always very friendly - carer staff are punctual and professional, treating my parents with dignity, always with a smile and positive. Office-based staff respond quickly to queries and are always helpful and accommodating of requests where possible. Great service. Highly recommend.
The Home Instead carers are always welcomed by Mum. They are great company for her, help with chores, and make sure she gets a walk or some exercise. It's reassuring for me too that she has genuinely caring people around when I can't bet there. The admin team are always helpful and positive too.
We have found this to be a caring, personal, professional service with a consistency of caring staff who arrive at the expected times. It is a great relief to have such a reliable service and are pleased to have found you.

Meet the Team (8)
Having previously held senior executive positions in the UK logistics industry and Central Government, Robert decided to combine his transferable business skills gained across the private and public sectors with those skills of his wife Gail, whose professional care career commenced as an NHS nurse at Ormskirk Hospital over thirty years ago.
Commenting on the formation of Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley, Robert said: "Both Gail and I share a common desire to become an established part of the local West Lancashire care community, changing the face of ageing, and becoming the provider of choice by delivering the highest possible quality care services to adults and older people in their own homes."
Gail has both professional and personal experience of care in the local community and has also sadly experienced first-hand the difficult and near-impossible challenges many families have faced when service providers have failed to deliver even the most basic levels of dignity and care.
Training locally in Lancashire as a nurse, Gail has over thirty years of experience in the health care service, primarily within the NHS as a clinician and senior manager. Gail has a managed and incredible work-life balance, gaining an impressive portfolio of qualifications including attaining a BSc (Hons) in Professional Health Studies.
Gail goes on to say "In 2010, both Robert and I researched the local options and possibilities with the intent of opening our own new care company. We are determined to make a difference locally, offering high-quality care services that are based around tailored care plans, respect and dignity."
Before working in adult social care, Dawn worked in the fashion industry. The job satisfaction Dawn now has is non-comparable because of each client she has met throughout her journey. Dawn started with Home Instead in 2017 as a care professional delivering excellent care to all clients. Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley recognised Dawn’s passion, her attention to detail and how important practising safely was to her. She was soon promoted to our Quality Compliance Officer. This role ensures the care we deliver is to a high standard, but most importantly, she ensures we practice safely. Dawn completes regular audits which enables her to monitor each client and care professional closely to ensure we are providing the best care possible.
Dawn manages our virtual ward, a system we have developed for any clients who require additional monitoring due to changes in their well-being. This system is designed to avoid hospital admission, monitor any health deterioration that would involve other healthcare professionals and most importantly, keep our clients at home for longer.
“It is a privilege to work for Home Instead West Lancashire and Chorley as a member of the key player team. Working as the Finance Officer for Home Instead West Lancashire & Chorley, Ruth has a strong background in finance including; bookkeeping, payroll and accounts, and consistently providing a most valuable service to our wonderful clients, their families and our team.

Doing this whilst continuing with his University Studies.
After achieving his qualification in Business & Management, he then decided to continue his studies further, completing a Master's and graduating with a degree in Marketing & Branding Communications. “My role at Home Instead allows me to help the business grow in the digital world. Monitoring, creating, and posting content to the various social media platforms we have accounts on. Furthermore, I also look to see what other media avenues are available for us to increase our reach in the local community. Whilst highlighting all the good that we do with events and stories."
