Overall I find the service very good. I would have marked the options one level higher than I have just because there have been exceptions, however, problems etc have usually been resolved quickly especially if they concerned staff. However, I mainly have one member of staff who is absolutely exceptional and goes above and beyond what is expected. Re the value for money - I do feel charging double of Bank Holidays is unreasonable when staff receives only a minimal amount extra.

I contacted Bowland Care just prior to the first lockdown. I have been a full-time carer for my husband for several years who has PSP - Progressive Supranuclear Palsey. His condition has worsened over the last 4 years and by its nature is "progressive". My husband falls a lot and therefore I am unhappy to leave him at home on his own. After being granted a respite care allowance, I can now go out to appointments and (Covid permitting!) see friends again whom I have not been able to see for a couple of years. The carer who comes is usually the same one every time and she is lovely. My husband is happy to be left with her and I can relax knowing he is safe when I go out. This small break has made an immense difference to my well-being.

After we lost Mum, cared for so wonderfully by Bowland Care, my dad was very much comforted by the friendliness and sense of humour as the carers continued to visit him at home. They kept a close eye on him, and communication was excellent. It was lovely for him to be able to reminisce with them about Mum, and they helped him, and indeed all of us, through a very difficult time.

I would recommend Bowland Care Services unreservedly.

I cannot recommend Bowland Care enough for the care they have given to my brother-in-law. With the lockdown, he lost his mobility but with gentle exercises and encouragement, his mobility has improved considerably. Nothing is too much trouble and they have surpassed what was expected. Can't thank them enough.

Bowland care have looked after my husband since October 2016 helping me to keep him at home. He has very complex needs but the team of ladies who come to help in any way that is needed for him. They take him out in his wheelchair daily weather permitting and to any activities that are suitable for him. He is unable to speak but responds to them by blinking. He adores them in all different ways.

We have found the firm provides a good standard of care who are welcome in our home.

Most of the carers are caring, good-humoured and prompt. They usually ask if anything else needs doing.

All my ladies are very helpful and will do anything I ask.

My care is excellent I enjoy the company. Always willing to help. All are very kind.

Only required the cleaning service from Bowland Care whilst I was recovering from a broken leg. The service I received was excellent. The staff were polite, efficient and very understanding especially in dealings with my wife who suffers with dementia. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company.

The reason I answered don't know to question six is we have never had anyone else over the last three years so we cannot compare.

The team at Bowland Care are marvellous. Without the dedicated care for dad and support for mum, we would not have been able to keep dad at home for as long as we did. The owner and all your team certainly helped make a very difficult time much easier. We have missed seeing you all on a regular basis and hope all of you are well.
