My mother-in-law needed help, so I offered to find a company that wasn't just a good caregiver, but an outstanding one. So using the CQC website, I began my search in her local area. It wasn't difficult narrowing it down, outstanding isn't common. After speaking to three companies, Home Instead was
by far the most engaging, most interested in my requirements, and my mother-in-law's needs. Before I got off the phone, my mind was set. I discussed it with my husband, who discussed it with the immediate family, they were happy to go with my gut instinct, and Home Instead have now been with my mother-in-law for many weeks, even at her most vulnerable. No feeling of worry, whether they are doing things how you would do it. Kind, empathetic, open and honest, thinking ahead about the little things that make it far more than just care, it's an overall feeling of calm, each and every member of staff is now family, and you know your loved ones are in the very best hands. Thank you Home Instead.

From the initial assessment by the senior administrator, we as a family knew that Home Instead was the company we would entrust with my husband's care.
This proved to be the case until my husband's last hospital admission and then into respite care and finally into permanent residential care.
The
support we both received was second to none. The caregivers were kind, compassionate, efficient ladies.
The support I received from the administrative staff was second to none.

I was just about to call to say I cannot explain the peace of mind I have after just a week of Mum switching over to Home Instead.
It’s unbelievable the difference in the care service and the Caregiver team and it’s such a huge relief after the last seven weeks. They know I had been signed off myself
with the stress of everything and understood the needs and requirements for Mum.
Mum is very happy and settled with her carer already and actually now just having read the notes for the last few days I cannot explain the difference in the level of care and service being provided. So thank you!
They have a brilliant routine and rapport together and the pressure it has taken off me is indescribable.
The relief, reassurance and peace of mind I now have!
So thank you all so very much for making this possible for Mum and myself. Truly a fantastic team, great communication, understanding and support.

Very impressed with the care and support given by Home Instead from Maidstone with regards to a friend in Headcorn, Kent. They go the extra mile with her and always treat her with huge dignity and respect. They have liaised with other agencies too with regards to support of physical problems and have
always got her to appointments. My friend always looks forward to her visits from the Home Instead staff and trusts them to do the right thing by her. I have been so impressed that I wouldn't have any hesitation in recommending them to others and are very much worth the money. On occasions when I have phoned Home instead I have always found them to be polite, supportive and respectful. The fact that they will always send the same caregiver to my friend lowers her anxiety and makes befriending far more beneficial.

Over the period of 3 years, my parents - especially my mother, were impeccably cared for by Home Instead. My mother developed Alzheimer's, and my father FL dementia, and we found it increasingly difficult to care for them at home, which is where they wanted to remain.
It was an intense relief to know
that their carers constantly went above and beyond to make sure they were happy and comfortable. We could relax and not panic every time the phone rang!
My parents grew very fond of their carers, and as people who had lived independent lives, the carers were very sensitive to this, helping wherever it was needed, constantly adaptable to my parents' needs, treating them more as friends than clients.
Both myself, and my sister would, and have, recommended them to anyone in our situation.
The peace of mind, knowing my parents were being so well looked after, made the world of difference, and made what could have been an impossibly hard period, much easier.
Thank you just doesn't cover it!

Care givers have been helping my husband for nearly 2 years . Unfortunately he is now in a Residential Care home. Every Caregiver that came to us was friendly, efficient and very caring both to my husband and myself. I cannot fault the support that they gave us, enabling my husband to remain at home
for nearly two years. Thank you to the manager and team.

My husband has needed extra support for several years, initially an hour a day and then gradually increasing to 4 hours but spread across the day. Home Instead have always been extremely accommodating when changes have been needed, suggesting the best way forward for my husband, even though that required
more travel for carers. Initially, carers worked hard to stimulate my husband, talking about his books, taking him for walks in the garden etc. Everyone was always extremely kind and supportive - but I saw the very best of people in the last few weeks before my husband had to move to a care home. When our lives were spiralling out of control the Home Instead team, Carers and Management, were there offering support and enabling us to move to the next stage. I am extremely grateful for the support they gave to both myself and my husband.

Whilst not being the cheapest care agency, Home Instead served my father well for around two years until his move to full-time care in December 2018.
Generally speaking, Dad had one of two ladies to cook and clean for him each Saturday and both were efficient and quick in their work, allowing them
time to chat with Dad which was most welcome by him.
They and I usually exchanged notes via the record file to let the other know anything as necessary eg., what to clean, any odd behaviour or concerns they may have or I needed to make them aware of.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Home Instead as they give a first class service.

Since Home Instead have been caring for Mum, we have noticed considerable improvements. Now that she is taking her medication and has a breakfast and tea, she is much more alert and seems happier. She looks forward to visits and loves the company.
Care Givers show patience, empathy and are genuinely
interested in her as a person. We cannot speak highly enough of the care that is being given. Thank you.

We have been a client of Home instead for approximately 18 months now and my mother-in-law receives a high standard of care which she is happy with. The staff are very approachable, helpful and pleasant. The only downside is the regular change in carers, but understandably this is unavoidable with staff
changes.

I chose Home Instead because I liked the less formal but professional approach that they appeared to offer. They were very helpful from the outset and I have not been disappointed with the service they provide. They have proved to be reliable and flexible and all the staff that have provided care and
companionship to my Mum, have been polite, respectful and caring at all times, always putting her needs first.

The manager and his team provide an excellent service. We've used other care providers in the past, but Home Instead far exceeds all of them. The patience and respect they show to my mum is second to none and the carers go above and beyond the call of duty to look after her. She looks on them as friends.
They always arrive on time, take their time and and are gentle and caring.
The office staff are always accessible and work hard to accommodate our families needs.

I have worked with the guys at Home Instead (Maidstone) for a number of years. My "Granny" test for providers of care for my clients is extremely high and robust. If care provided is not acceptable for my grandmother then it is not acceptable for my clients. Home Instead is one of only three care
agencies I use as they provide an extremely high standard of care for their and my clients. It is not just the team on the ground that make the difference but the happy team that work behind the scenes to make everything tick along perfectly. The phone is always answered with a cheerful voice, the care supervisor always smiles and the care team always go out of their way to do more than their clients need.


It does not stop with their care. Home Instead really take the time to get to know their clients and their families to ensure that they understand the person who needs the care. All of my clients feel like people with the Home Instead team. They are made to feel important and valuable and look forward to their visits.


The Home Instead team are friends to my clients as well as their professional carers.


I trust the team with all of my clients and these guys are at the top of my list for recommendation.

After some rather bad experiences with another care agency, Home Instead came with good recommendations and have constantly gone the extra mile to help my mother who has some difficult issues. They are always putting my mother's self interests first and are a constant companion and cater to her. In
our experience they have been very flexible and adaptable, even attending meetings on mums behalf.
I would thoroughly recommend Home Instead to anyone looking for a care team for caring and consistent support.

I have been pleased with the care my father has received from Home Instead during the last 18 months. The care givers have generally been cheerful and very professional in all their dealings with my father, who, because of his dementia is not always easy to care for. I have been able to continue to
work knowing someone will be making lunch and spending time with my father when I can't be there.
Home instead do their best to keep care givers consistent so that my father gets to know them and trust them which means he will let them help him with things like bathing, something he doesn't even want me to help with.
When my father's care package started he was still able to go out more and the care givers would take him into the village for lunch at a cafe, or for fish and chips, something I know he enjoyed very much.
It is important to me and my family that we care for Dad at home and I wouldn't be able to do that without Home Instead.
There have been occasional hiccoughs, for example when a care giver is ill, but in general Home Instead sort the problem as quickly as possible and will even send out senior managers to do the lunch or whatever is required.
If a new care giver starts work then they are always introduced to me as well as my father beforehand so that I know exactly who is coming and going each day.
