I am extremely saddened to read your current review as you should not have felt obligated to look for a new Provider when our Supervisor (not Manager), whom you were very fond of, left us suddenly. Caremark operate as a Team and are not reliant on any one individual to ensure our service is consistent. I would have happily continued to provide your husband's care. I must correct you again regarding my refusal to speak with you when you called my office. I am more than happy to speak with all our clients and regularly do. I am still willing to speak with you, in person or by phone, to discuss any misunderstandings you may have about our service. As a gesture of good will, I would be prepared to offer you a substantial discount if you were prepared to have a discussion with me and reconsider coming back to us with my full guarantee that your husband will be cared for with the highest level of support our Team can provide.

After university, I volunteered in a care home and loved it so much that I knew that care and support were where I belonged. Nearly thirty years later, I can definitely say it was the right decision. More recently, in July 2022, I had the opportunity to purchase Caremark Harrogate.
Since then, as a team, we have been focussing on developing the services we provide and building a strong business. I’m really proud to be able to create jobs for local people and to help them provide brilliant care and support services.
If I’m not working, I’m often in the garden or the kitchen – ideally cooking fresh veg grown in my garden.
I’m Ben, and I am a co-director at Caremark Harrogate.
I have run my own business for over 15 years. I have always been focused on the wellbeing of other people – which I have done in other ventures – and so when the opportunity to run Caremark in Harrogate was available to me, it was something that felt like a natural progression.
I like to be busy, and am always doing something! I love gardening, decorating, arts and travel. Canada is my favorite country to visit!
I joined Caremark Harrogate in 2023 as Field Care Supervisor after seeing what a wonderful company this was when my daughter carried out her work experience here.
I originally started my working career in care at the age of 16 whilst I was studying at college. My career to date post college has included working as a deputy manager within a Care Home in York and also working as a nurse for Bupa.
My education didn’t finish after leaving college as further down the line I went onto study Nursing and Midwifery at University whilst also raising a young family.
I find my role here at Caremark Harrogate very rewarding, I like to be able to meet our customers and their families enabling me to ensure I can match the perfect care assistant and plan person centered care.
I specialize in supporting customers and their families through End of life Care.
