From the first assessment visit, the team at Caremark, Harrogate, led by their brilliant manager, has guided us through the setup and provision of a care package with patience, kindness and professionalism. Always approachable, contactable and helpful when any changes are made which offers us great flexibility to the amount and type of care required at any time. The carers carry out their duties with politeness and kindness and have always treated my parents with dignity at this difficult time of their lives. The Caremark app provides transparency and allows me to see what time the carers are with my parents and what tasks are completed. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company.

Following a severe stroke, the return home from hospital for my mother was extremely challenging - and for my father - but the care and dedicated support to help both was outstanding from Caremark. Providing four home visits each day, the team were flexible and adaptable to the needs of my parents. This was made possible due to the thorough engagement of the care team manager, who took the time to understand the histories of my parents to provide them with the most appropriate support. The care team were also truly excellent, befriending my mother to give her emotional support as well as materially providing for all her physical needs. My parents’ experience of care from Caremark was superb and we are all extremely grateful for all that they have done to help my family.
Caremark have been providing daily visits for the last six months which have been good - a few niggles from my father but nothing significant. Where they have been outstanding is their flexibility: when plans changed around Christmas, they were quickly able to reinstate visits that had been cancelled despite it being holiday times; when my father was in hospital they have also been outstanding at finding flexible ways to support us and being in touch with the hospital to clarify everything. But most significant is the critical action they took in calling an ambulance when my father was wrongly discharged from hospital and taking charge of the situation. I'm very grateful for everything they have done.
Caremark Harrogate have given my father 24/7 care during his recovery from hospital. They have gone above and beyond to ensure that my father was cared for in a very professional manner and at the same time trying to help my mum deal with all the challenges going on in the home. Dad has made wonderful progress and has gone from being bed-bound to walking independently around the house and garden in three short weeks. The staff have been on hand for every aspect of his care in a safe way, whilst at the same time encouraging him to regain his independence. It has been a team effort and I have also had the security of being able to keep an eye on his progress on the app daily. The manager and her staff have played a huge role in bringing Dad back to us, and nothing has been too much trouble for any of them. Thank you all so much for everything, nothing is more precious than your family.
I have been with Caremark for around 6 months and in that time I had received a fantastic service due to the manager at the time who was brilliant. However, when he left we had to find a new provider as my husband was left without care as they said they had no staff when I called. I called the office and asked to speak to the managing director and he refused to speak to me and then put the phone down. The service went down very quickly which resulted in my husband being neglected and I physically could not manage on my own as he is 2 to 1 care. Very dissatisfied and disappointed. I would not be recommending them due to the lack of care from higher management.

This is our first week of the carers helping, and they have been extremely helpful, reassuring and efficient. I’m the franchise owner, here at Caremark Harrogate.
After university, I volunteered in a care home and loved it so much that I knew that care and support were where I belonged. Nearly thirty years later, I can definitely say it was the right decision. More recently, in July 2022, I had the opportunity to purchase Caremark Harrogate.
Since then, as a team, we have been focussing on developing the services we provide and building a strong business. I’m really proud to be able to create jobs for local people and to help them provide brilliant care and support services.
If I’m not working, I’m often in the garden or the kitchen – ideally cooking fresh veg grown in my garden.
I’m Ben, and I am a co-director at Caremark Harrogate.
I have run my own business for over 15 years. I have always been focused on the wellbeing of other people – which I have done in other ventures – and so when the opportunity to run Caremark in Harrogate was available to me, it was something that felt like a natural progression.
I like to be busy, and am always doing something! I love gardening, decorating, arts and travel. Canada is my favorite country to visit!
My role is to ensure our clients are safe and receive the best possible care, and how we do this is by ensuring our carers have the training, tools, support and clarity of what they need to do and how. Culture plays a huge part in this, and we are a team with strong values and a desire to develop and progress in the ways we work.
I’m a people-first leader who truly enjoys what care can do for others—so much so that this is my third role within Caremark!
Before joining Caremark, I held senior roles in both SME and global businesses, always centring my work on organisational performance, culture transformation, and leadership development. It’s a genuine passion of mine to see individuals, teams and businesses flourish.
