We had consistency of care from an excellent carer who my mother built up a good routine with and on her days off and holidays some other very pleasant carers filled in.
Mum was happy with the support she received and it gave me peace of mind knowing that she was being assisted every morning to do the things that she could no longer do independently.
The service and staff were very efficient and professional and I was impressed with the regular communication and assessment that they provided in order to update and change any of my mother's needs.
I have had no problems with my carers they have all been very helpful and polite. They always do what I asked them to do for me. They have respect for my property and they always ask if I am alright and we have a little chat before they do the work.
Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. We strive to provide a great service to our customers and we are always happy to receive great feedback.
I needed morning care after hospital surgery. Bluebird Care came highly recommended from a variety of sources and they were able to accommodate my requirements from day one. This turned out to be an excellent choice as the staff, both at the coal face and in the back office, attended to all my needs in a professional and caring way, always bringing a smile with them each time they visited. A job well done!
I was very pleased that the Care Supervisor from Bluebird Sittingbourne was able to arrange for the appropriate care staff for my mother at relatively short notice. The carers we able to visit at the agreed times and undertake all requirements as discussed.
My family has had a long association with Bluebird care and has felt that they have given a good, friendly, caring and reliable service. My father was well looked after and enjoyed his carers coming to help him.
Very happy and friendly girls, they do an excellent job caring, they are amazing with her I couldn't say a bad thing about them. Always professional and make sure we are happy with the care before they leave.
Nothing is too much trouble.
We organised care for my sister through Bluebirds Swale as she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and was struggling to cope. From the initial assessment to the actual care taking place, the helpfulness and understanding were excellent. The few days per week she spends with her designated carer has made a tremendous difference in her welfare and mental health caused by her Alzheimer’s. Her carer is very well acquainted with what is needed when looking after a person who is suffering from this awful disease and I can’t praise them high enough! I would certainly recommend Bluebirds to anyone who is in a similar position.
I have nothing but praise for the Bluebird team. The office staff went above and beyond to deliver the right package for our needs. Circumstances became critical for me, and within a day, they'd worked so hard and put together four visits each day for my mother, as opposed to the two visits daily. The girls are wonderful. They breeze in with a cheery greeting and remain light-hearted all the while they are doing their job. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and it's all done with so much care and understanding. One day, not only will I miss my Mum, I'll truly miss the girls who care for her so well.
I am very pleased with the way the carers are with my mother-in-law, very caring and extremely pleasant. The carers are very good at timekeeping. Overall I am extremely pleased with the service we have received.
Professional, reliable, friendly and compassionate care provider who I would wholeheartedly recommend. Their role allows my mum to continue living in her own home and she also enjoys the interaction when catching up with the carers!
She finally accepted their help begrudgingly.
The girls were caring and friendly.
I received support from them too at a time when I was sometimes at my wit's end. They were always ready to lend an ear. I would recommend them highly.
We can't thank the girls (and occasionally boys) from Bluebird enough for the care that they gave Dad, it was second to none and we really appreciated it and so did Dad. We came to look on them as part of pour extended family. Thank you Bluebird.
My dad was in palliative care and my mum needed night care so she could rest. We had a wonderful carer doing waking nights several times a week. She was excellent with Dad and kept his spirit up right to the end, she was with Dad and us when he passed away. We could not thank her and Bluebird enough for what they did for us.
My mum was at the end of her life and a double hand. We were told that these people were fully trained in end of life care. She had four times a day and in the first day saw eight different carers. Sadly not one of the eight read the care plan before entering the home and expected us to tell them what was needed. This company should not be trading, they knew nothing about end of life care and once left my mother not knowing if she was dead or not. Thank god we still had a live-in carer that rushed straight to Mum and called the family as she was in a bad way. Thankfully she only had to put up with this for 48 hours. Sadly she has now passed away. People be very careful about this company and its staff do not listen.
Please feel free to call the office on 01795 422200 to speak to Melinda Street, Head of Care and Support directly to discuss further.
He was under palliative care and suffered many ailments, yet this care company saw to it that his every wish was met and due diligence and kindness afforded him the most comfort in his last weeks. Bluebird Care interacted with myself and other family members and kept us informed of his needs and status as the days went on. The carers were all so professional and of cheery, kind dispositions, with great emphasis on attention to detail, giving his medication and serving his dietary requirements.
I was so impressed by this company and so inspired by the team leaders as well as the carers that I have applied to work for them.
A company with outstanding ethics/ethos.
I would not hesitate to call Bluebird again in the future and would highly recommend them.
The care Bluebird gave to Mum during her last days was exceptional. The girls treated Mum as though she was their own mum. They took time and always found out what Mum needed that day, they communicated outside of the visits so the next carers who came were fully up to date with how Mum had been and whilst we were struggling, we felt that we were not alone, as they always asked if we were ok and if we needed anything. They were so gentle and compassionate. I would, without hesitation, recommend them to anyone who needs a professional and caring company for their loved one.
I have been very impressed with the carers that we have seen. They have all been enthusiastic and kind.
My wife has been receiving care from the company for over two years now. The caring staff are excellent, but not can be said for the management. They need a good shakeup.

Meet the Team (7)
In September 2022, I transitioned into the office as a Support Supervisor, supporting new carers as they began their careers and taking on the responsibility of Manager on Call. I was later promoted to Lead Customer Support Supervisor, where I continued to focus on delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
Now, as Director of Care, I am proud to lead a dedicated team committed to excellence. I am also a qualified Mental Health First Aider, supporting the wellbeing of our staff and promoting a positive workplace culture.
I am passionate about upholding the highest standards of care and proud to be part of a service that truly makes a difference.
I started working for Bluebird Care Swale in 2018 as a care assistant. This was completely new to me, but I absolutely loved my role. Every day was different, and knowing that I was making a difference to people’s lives made me realise I had chosen the right career path for me.
My goal at the time was to become part of the Swale Office Team so that I could be involved in speaking with professionals, supervising and working my way up through the company. I started off as a care supervisor in 2019, to then changed my role in 2021 to Care Coordinator, which I am still very much enjoying now, ensuring that all our customers are receiving visits on their required days and times. My role as a coordinator is often challenging but enjoyable.
I have recently been promoted to Deputy Head of Care, which I am very grateful for. I have worked hard to be where I am now, and I am proud to work for such a great team who all work hard to ensure our customers are being provided with the best care.
Amy joined Bluebird Care (Medway) in March 2015 as a Care Assistant. Her constant good conduct, devotion to customers and commitment to her caring role secured her promotion in February 2017 to Care Mentor and just recently, at the end of March 2018, Amy gained a further promotion to Support Supervisor and works in the office for three days per week.
Amy was shortlisted for a Bluebird Care national award in 2017. She even went through to the finals, having won Carer of the Year for the South East region. Well done Amy!
From November 2019, Amy's role as Support Supervisor changed to Training Supervisor, with her having the sole responsibility for training new Care Workers in both the Medway area and the Swale area.
I joined Bluebird Care Swale as a Care Assistant in 2022.
I really enjoy my role as a carer and helping to make a difference in people's lives.
In June 2024, I took on the role of Field Care Supervisor. This role entails assisting the office with mentoring and supporting the carers
I’ve been a care worker with Bluebird for over 4 years, the job fell in my lap but feel that I have found my niche, I find the job thoroughly rewarding and look forward to seeing the people I care for.
I am also an I Care Ambassador for Bluebird Care Swale, where I attend meetings and group chats to share my knowledge about my role as a Care Assistant
Hi, I’m Jordan Byrne, the proud owner of Bluebird Care Swale! I studied management at the London School of Economics and spent some time on the MBA program at Yale. Before getting into homecare, I worked in finance in the City of London and across Europe. But what has always driven me is making a real difference in people’s lives.
My decision to lead this homecare agency is personal. Having experienced the need for care within my own family, I understand firsthand the impact it can have—not only on those receiving care but also on their loved ones. Too often, we forget the strain that falls on family members, who give so much of themselves to ensure their relatives are looked after. This understanding motivates me every day.
There is an infectious belief among our staff, and within the local community, that we truly have the best carers in the area. Therefore, I have always seen that my main role is to support the team so they can focus on doing what they do best—delivering exceptional care to you and your loved ones. It’s my job to make sure they have everything they need to make your journey easier, and to make it the best experience possible.
I don’t take the responsibility of running this company lightly. I know how important this service is, and I’m dedicated to ensuring that you can trust us every step of the way. You can count on me and my team to provide the care and attention you deserve. We and I will not let you down.
My background has involved a few different experiences. I have previously worked at the West Ham United First Team as a sports scientist from 2019 to 2021! Following that, I worked in a start-up company as an operational lead and technology consultant. My team and I built the company's presence in the local community whilst focusing on how to run our day-to-day operations as efficiently as possible to benefit our staff. Following this, I took on a very high-pressure role as a lead recruitment consultant for a fast-growing company in London, where we doubled our headcount in 6 months.
I am so excited to be part of the Bluebird Care family. The work that everyone does here is so impactful to the community and I am looking forward to meeting everyone who is a part of this amazing company and hearing and being a part of all about the great work that everyone does day to day.
