I have received care from Right at Home for eighteen months. We have found the carers to be incredibly friendly, courteous, professional and willing to accommodate my needs. This means a lot as I have Parkinson's and can be very slow which must be very frustrating. Following a lengthy hospitalisation recently it was a relief to be taken back into their care. My wife and I can relax and know we are in safe hands knowing the agency will do their best to accommodate visits. The office staff are very helpful and understanding. Carers appear to be well trained.
Right at Home recruit well. Carers are kind and considerate. They have tried hard to provide a consistent service during a very difficult period for social care generally. Office always responds promptly to any enquiries.
My experience with Right at Home is very good and I am very satisfied with the service and care I receive.
Since my last review things have improved considerably, the management have helped in getting things sorted with the carers. My mother-in-law is very happy with her carers and how the office staff have been more helpful. I cannot say how pleased I am that the problems have been dealt with.
Right at home have been excellent with my Nan for many years. All the carers have been lovely, one particular carer went above and beyond for my Nan. She is one in a million, the care they provided was phenomenal. Unfortunately, my Nan is going into a care home but I want her to know how thankful we are. They would sing and dance together, she would do my Nan's hair, makeup and nails and always went above and beyond to make sure my Nan was spotlessly clean. My Nan is always so happy around her. I can’t put into words how amazing of a carer she is to my Nan. We are so thankful for the care provided by all the lovely carers from Right at Home. Thank you, I highly recommend Right at Home!
My girls are all so kind and thoughtful. I appreciate everything they do for me. Tremendous care.
My mother has been receiving services from Right at Home (Cardiff & Newport) for several years. They have always provided friendly and very reliable care and this has been particularly impressive during the pandemic. Any minor issues that have occasionally arisen have always been addressed quickly and satisfactorily. The carers I have met over this time have been friendly and considerate of my mothers needs. The services provided have allowed her to remain in her own home and given my sister and myself peace of mind.
Carers are doing their job very well. The companionship carer always explains how to look for improvements to care services for my husband. From the start of receiving care services, my husband has appreciated Right at Home's efforts.
Simply, the level of care that right at Home Cardiff provides to my mum can only be described as brilliant! The quality of all the carers and of the Office staff are outstanding and I only hope I can receive half as good care when I'm older as right at home gives consistently to my mum. Right at Home Cardiff provides my mum with 6 calls a day 7 days a week and has provided this constant uninterrupted care over the last 6 years. The level of care Mum receives from Right at Home can only be summed up as amazing. All the carers are so amazing you could not wish for anyone nicer to look after your mum. The level of care can only be summed up as 6 Star care all round. In particular, recognition needs to rewarded too: in the office team and carers that look after mum. Thank you, thank you so much.
Carers are very good, excellent with helping me shower etc. Extremely attentive.
Overall experience excellent on all accounts.
My mother has been a client for several years. I cannot thank the carers enough for their hard work especially over the last few months. My mother looked forward to their visits, especially as in recent months she has benefited from a small regular team of carers. Her carers treated her with respect and in a friendly and compassionate manner. Her carers gave her the confidence she needed to enable her to stay in her own home which was so important to her and her family.
From the initial enquiry and to the package being in place, we were pleased with the help and support given, to both us and my mum.
Would not hesitate to recommend.
My mother feels more independent and confident that both her and my father are being looked after well. I have spoken to one of the carers a few times and she has been very polite, given clear reports of what is happening and is doing her absolute best. As I am in Japan my parents care is a little more worrying, but Right at Home have given me peace of mind that my parents are in very safe hands, and their quality of life has not changed. Great job guys!!
My mum has Alzheimer’s and the Right at Home cares are friendly, caring and supportive towards my mum and understands her needs. She’s always happy after her visits; my mum also has company ship calls. Thank you Right at Home.
After a few little hic-ups to understand her requirement, mainly as we were unsure what she needed, we now have a package that works extremely well, we have even increased the visits to allow a call every day which my mother in law enjoys and we know that someone is calling on the days we can't be there (especially now with Covid-19)
If there is ever a concern the managers are happy to come to your home, when my mother in law had a fall, the carer did everything right to inform us and calling 999 and took care of her until I arrived, could not thank her enough.
I am very pleased with the service I get from Right at Home, they're always very helpful and so patient and caring to me.
Right at Home have cared for both my parents in their own home for the past 2 years. My parents have quite differing needs (Dad's need around his mobility, Mum's has dementia). We have found the care excellent; the carers are lovely and very reliable. The office and backroom staff are accessible and helpful. Right at Home have enabled my parents to live a to home for far longer than we thought possible and I would recommend them highly.
The girls are kind, caring and nothing is too much trouble.
Timekeeping not always good, but understandable.

Hello, I am Joe Guishard – the owner of Right at Home Cardiff and Newport. I am very proud of being the first Right at Home provider of care to the seniors in the Welsh Principality. I was born in Cardiff and have lived here all my life, so it gives me a feeling of great pride that I can now offer a service to the community that has helped look after me.
Prior to opening this company, I was a serving police officer for 6 years, wearing out shoe leather in Cardiff. On my “off duty” days, I spent many hours supporting my elderly grandparents in a multitude of areas. These include practical tasks such as gardening and cooking, but also engaging in long fascinating conversations with my grandma about the ‘good old days’.
I knew should they want care in their own homes, later on in life where family or loved ones were not able to help, then I would want them to have the quality of care that they deserve.
I came to realise that by opening Right at Home in Cardiff and Newport I would be able to offer this quality care, and also ensure that other seniors or vulnerable adults looking for similar quality services could rely on me and my company.

Hi, my name is Holly, I have worked in care for almost ten years, starting my care journey with Right At Home when I was in university studying Education. I began as a carer and progressed through the company, firstly as admin then co-ordinator, to Registered Manager.
I left for a short time after having my daughter, to work in another domiciliary care agency as their Networking Officer, before now returning to my roots with Right At Home.
I have two young children – a son and a daughter, so when I am not at work I am generally chasing them around, stopping the baby from dribbling on the toddler or stopping the toddler from throwing things at the baby. When I am not wrestling with the children, I prefer to spend my time outdoors, walking with my dog, relaxing in the garden with a book, or trying and failing to grow things in my allotment.
I working in the care industry because I want to make a difference! I enjoy meeting people and doing what I can to ensure they have the best day possible.
I am really excited to be back as part of the Right At Home team, and I am looking forward to catching up with those I have worked with previously and getting to know the staff I have not met yet.

I started working for Right at Home in 2014, starting off as a carer and then progressing into the office as an Administration Assistant. I then progressed to Finance Assistant and now currently working as the Finance Manager.
Within my role, I am in charge of all the financial aspects, from the invoicing to the payroll. My role plays a huge part within Right at Home, and I am grateful to have been given this opportunity to progress within a fantastic company that puts its service users and carers as their top priority, to enable the best care to be delivered in the community.

Hello,
I’m Leah the registered manager for our Cardiff & Newport region of Right at Home. I was very keen on working within the Team for the values, standards and passion for care that projected from the moment I walked through the doors.
I have worked in the health and social care sector since I was 18 and always felt this was my calling in life. I have always wanted to help and care for others, to be a part of someone’s journey, growth, and challenges and know you have made a difference no matter how small the step forward, will always bring me great self-satisfaction.
My purpose in striving forward for management was all the years of trying to make positive changes for staff and keep person-centred approaches at the heart of care.
Being amongst the workforce in the community I can relate and plan for future growth. I am committed and passionate and look forward to being a part of the Right at Home family.

My name is Stephanie, I joined Right at Home working in reception as an Administration Assistant. After a year of being with Right at Home, I progressed into the role of Training & Administration Manager.
My previous working roles have given me lots of experience working in an office environment, which I enjoy. I am very passionate about my role at Right at Home, at the end of my working day I feel amazing knowing that I have helped someone.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, I have four children and also one grandchild that keeps me busy outside work.

My name is Rhian, and I joined Right At Home at the beginning of 2020.
Being in the care industry is a very important thing for me, as it is the most rewarding job I have ever been involved in. I find it so rewarding that my actions today are ensuring that clients are having the best quality of life within their own homes. I then decided that I would like to expand my involvement within Right at Home and became part of the office team as a trainee care coordinator. The reason behind this was to help ensure that we are providing the best service for our staff members as well as our clients.

My journey with Right at Home Cardiff and Newport began almost 12 years ago, when the business first started. I joined as a caregiver and fulfilled this role for a number of years. My time as a carer helped me grow as a person and provided me with the opportunity to meet some wonderful people, with whom I developed lovely friendships with.
During my time with the company I have undertaken multiple roles, including Moving and Handling Trainer and Business Development Manager.
After returning from my maternity leave, I decided to step away from my role as a BDM, due to not being able to commit to the position fulltime. I am currently working as a Finance Assistant, which I thoroughly enjoy.
Over the years, my skills and knowledge have been enhanced greatly. It has been such a privilege, and I am truly grateful and so fortunate to work for such a wonderful company.

Hiya,
I'm Elishe. I have been working in health and social care for around 6years now. Being able to help, support and care for those who need it is the best reward you can ask for and seeing a smile on people's faces.
When I am not working, I play netball and like to socialise with family and friends.

My name is Aurora, and I have spent the past four years building a rewarding career in the care industry. During this time, I’ve had the privilege of progressing from a Community Lead to a Field Care Supervisor, gaining valuable experience in both hands-on care and team leadership.
I’m deeply passionate about supporting others and take great pride in making a positive difference in people’s lives, especially those who need it most.
Outside of work, I enjoy taking long walks with my dog, curling up with a good book, and spending quality time socialising with friends.

I’ve been part of the Right at Home family on and off since I was 16, working in numerous roles across the company. Each position has helped shape my understanding of care and the importance of supporting both clients and care professionals. Over time, I realised that the role of Care Coordinator is where I truly feel at home and where my passion lies.
I enjoy making sure care is well organised, person-centred, and delivered to a high standard. Outside of work, I’m a proud cat owner, and when I’m at work I like having a view of nature, which helps keep me calm and focused throughout the day.
