On the whole Everycare was a good service - some staff better than others. I found the more senior carers were more caring than the younger staff - they were inclined to sit and chat.

I find all the carers that visit very helpful and understanding they have a very approachable manner.

The managerial staff are always accommodating and pleasant, they always aim to help when alterations to the normal routine are necessary, overall a good example of a caring company.

Finally gave in and admitted I needed some help with bathing and housework. Contacted Everycare as they were local and the reviews I'd read sounded just what I was after. Was fairly independent, but hadn't been able to get in or out of the bath or shower for some time due to mobility and struggled to clean my left side properly or wash my hair. Knew as soon as I met Sue for the home assessment that I had chosen the right people. Only have someone once a week but they help me get in the bath, and change bedding, dust and hoover while I soak, then come back and help me out and then to dry and dress. The carers are always so lovely, helpful, kind, thoughtful and chatty. It has very much become my Friday treat, like a little holiday and pamper session. Makes all the difference and sets me up for the rest of the week. Thank you so much everyone!

Have been using the services of EC (MS) for a number of years now in relation to my elderly Father who also has advanced dementia, so requires additional day-to-day care. Everycare have been exemplary in their approach to dealing with my Dad and he has been able to remain in his own home with the help of the care provided. All the staff will go the extra mile to help when needed and the whole set-up has a family feel to it, which makes dealing with our situation much easier.

Reply from Emma Kirby, Care Manager at Everycare (Mid Sussex)

Thank you, for this review. We feel that dad is part of our family, like most of our clients. We will continue to look after him to the best of our ability.

Every member of Everycare Burgess Hill, was kind, patient and extremely caring,

Mum was always well looked after. I had arranged for someone to come in every morning, but as her anxiety increased they came more regularly. Always on time or called to inform us of a delay!

Everycare have been looking after my 97 year old Father for the past 18 months since he came out of hospital after breaking his femur. The carers' attention to him is excellent and nothing is too much trouble. The office staff and Management are happy to make any required changes or day-to-day issues meaning that the whole experience has been excellent.
The team are very professional, friendly, hardworking and polite. They come in twice every day to prompt Dad to take his medication and make sure he has everything he needs for the day and complete all the items on the agreed care plan.
The carers are lovely, caring, thoughtful, and go above and beyond what I would have expected them to do.
The communication from the company to me as his son is excellent. I can review the notes online after every visit and any urgent messages are sent via email, instant message or phone.

I can totally trust Everycare which gives me peace of mind knowing my father is in safe hands as I live 100 miles away.

My mum has received excellent care from the carers at Everycare (Mid Sussex). She has dementia and can be difficult at times, but the carers are always very patient with mum and attend to all her personal needs. She is very well looked after so I do feel she is getting the best possible care by people who are understanding and have been well trained to deal with her medical issues. The carers are always very cheerful and friendly and find the time to chat to her and listen to her stories which always cheers her up so they always leave her in a good mood. The organisation itself is very professional and communication is excellent. I have no hesitation at all in recommending them.

Reply from Emma Kirby, Care Manager at Everycare (Mid Sussex)

Thank you so much for your generous review, we are pleased that you and Mum appreciate the time our Carers spend engaging in conversation and hearing Mum's stories. Caring at home is much more than just attending to personal tasks or dealing with medical issues, its about spending some quality time with clients and making them feel interesting and valued.

I have had a great experience with Everycare after coming out of the hospital following an extensive operation. The care coordinator came around and was incredibly kind and took her time to go over the assessment and explain how everycare was able to help me best. For the majority of my visits, I have a carer who was wonderful. Friendly and chatty, clearly very good at her job and worked hard whilst she was with me. She definitely made my life so much easier as I initially recovered. Thank you both for all your time and kindness.

I sprained my wrist in early March and could not use my left hand to wash and dress myself or support walking with two sticks. I had already made contact with Everycare so phoned them on Monday and they arranged care provision the next day - 45minutes to wash/dress, an hour with full shower including hair wash. The service was absolutely splendid, during a period of nearly 12 weeks everyone who came was unfailingly helpful, kind, pleasant and highly professional. They helped with difficulties I had with opening jars and bottles as well as looking after me, put clothes into and out of the wash, undid my pills from awkward blister packs. They supplied really special care in every sense of the word and I am now self-sufficient again thanks to their ministrations. The other factor was the efficiency of the office staff, instant replies to phone calls, prompt supply of roster details, clear invoices which charged reasonable rates for excellent value for money.

My dad and I have been very pleased with the carers who have visited him. Their friendliness and cheerful personalities stand out, and the carers brighten up his day. Knowing they are visiting him also reassures me. There was only one carer in the early days my dad didn't take to, but overall I would definitely recommend the company.

Right from the beginning, her carer listened to Mum, finding out the right amount of care that she wanted. All the careers have been wonderful and given Mum a new lease of life, helping with daily chores, and when she's not got much for them to do, they'll happily sit and talk with Mum, which she loves. They all seem very kind, compassionate and understanding. I would highly recommend Homecare, they give my siblings and me peace of mind.

Having used Everycare for nearly a year after my husband with dementia came out of hospital after a stroke, we have been more than satisfied. Our regular carer knows my husband and his ways very well now and I have no anxieties about his care. Over the weeks I have had few occasions when the carer has been delayed (largely traffic problems) so can rely on good timekeeping and friendly caring approach.
