Everyone in the office has been very helpful and if we have had to change appointment times they are always more than willing to do this.

Bluebirds have been visiting my mother daily for several years now. They provide her with company and all the support she needs to be able to continue to live independently in her own home, which is her wish. They are always bright and cheerful and always caring, as well as being totally professional. Most importantly, Mum loves them!

Some eighteen months ago, I was placed in the position of having to find care for my aunt at very short notice following her sudden discharge from the hospital. I approached Bluebird Care in Belper, and within 24 hours, was offered a level of care that allowed my aunt to return home. Starting with two and three visits a day, and over eighteen months, evolving into 24-hour live-in care with 100% personal care, I was able to achieve her wishes of spending this time with dignity in her own home. Throughout this time, the thoroughly professional team tailored the attention required and covered my aunt's needs, sometimes with visits from up to six or seven different careers per day, depending on the level of expertise required. We went right through Covid without exposing my aunt to the virus - quite a demonstration of the professionalism of the individual careers involved. The best thing was that my aunt enjoyed the company of the careers taking a huge weight off my shoulders.

My grandad has limited mobility and eyesight, so he lives with my parents who are his main carers, I also care for him as well on occasions. I got married in February and we needed to arrange live-in care for him for a few days. I called a few care companies to try and arrange this and one told me that they couldn't arrange care until May! luckily we found the lovely people at Bluebird who really do genuinely care about people and want to help, they went above and beyond to arrange a lovely person to look after my grandad so that we were able to enjoy our wedding and relax knowing that he was very well taken care of and very importantly, safe. My grandad told us how much he enjoyed the company of the lovely person that looked after him for a few days. Thank you so much Bluebird Care for everything you have done for us you are such kind and caring people, I would not hesitate to recommend you, you made the whole process easy and stress-free for us all.

I planned a carers break and required safe and well checks for my dad as his mobility is deteriorating. I was recommended Bluebird by a couple of local people. From the first enquiry I found the team very professional, caring and friendly. The paperwork was very comprehensive too. The carers that came were very friendly and caring and helped dad with medication prompting etc and made him a hot drink. I am very impressed by Bluebird and would have no hesitation to recommend them to friends and family. If required, I will choose Bluebird in the future- thank you very much.

My mother lived independently in a retirement flat. She was diagnosed with dementia in 2017 and we were very fortunate to secure a domiciliary care package with Bluebird Care (Derbyshire Dales and Amber Valley) soon afterwards. With this increasingly complex and responsive care package, Mum was able to stay safely in her own home until late 2021. This would have been a major achievement at the best of times but is all the more remarkable during the pandemic. I cannot praise Bluebird Care and their expert carers highly enough. Mum's care needs changed and increased over time, often at short notice, and the management team was always open to (and made) suggestions, honest about capacity and did whatever they could to support. The level of care was impressive, sensitive and tailored to needs and preferences. Great care was taken to assess and review needs; communication was excellent. At all times Mum was met with genuine compassion and concern; this is truly outstanding care.
It was a pleasure supporting your mum and all her team miss seeing her.

After months of looking for a PA to work alongside me for mums care. It was a really difficult decision for me to have a care agency in to help support my mother who has Alzheimer's/Dementia. I have to say from my first telephone enquiry, I always found Bluebird Care helpful, informative, friendly and professional. It was clear to me that mums caregivers were carefully chosen and well-matched to her personality, always kind, caring and giving the reassurance often needed with mums condition. The care plan was adhered to as discussed. This all helped me to overcome my apprehension of outsiders entering our close family network. I have now found a PA but would not hesitate to return to Bluebird Care should our circumstances change.

I was concerned about my mum as the first lockdown was announced. She was a very sociable lady, but desperately wanted to stay in her own home until the end of her life. She had been used to lots of visits and visitors and I knew she needed help to look after herself too. Bluebird carers offered her care and friendship. She looked forward to their visits every day. My mum was the last surviving sister of six and she told me once that she thought of the carers as her sisters. Mum died at the age of 95 on 1st August, but managed to stay in her own home as she had wished, thanks to Bluebird.

Bluebird Care has provided an outstanding quality of service for my 96-year-old mum. This very well run agency sent a smallish, regular and very professional team to provide her with companionship and meal preparation. Mum really looked forward to the visits from the kind, compassionate, sensitive and thoughtful carers. Each one of them quickly built up a strong relationship with her, taking special interest in her life and her specific needs. They always came with a smile on their face and nothing was ever too much trouble. We couldn't have wished for more and would like to say a huge thank you to each and every member of the team.

Bluebird Care Derbyshire Dales & Amber Valley have been caring for my mother for several years. At that time the guidance and support given by Bluebird Care Derbyshire Dales & Amber Valley was invaluable, as neither myself or my family had any previous experience. Over the past three years, the level and frequency of care has increased with all members of the staff being most supportive and understanding at all times. I receive immediate feedback if a carer has any concerns with my mother and the team at the office are always helpful, should I have any queries regarding my mother's condition or the level of care being provided. For example, recently my mother had a fall and not only did Bluebird Care Derbyshire Dales & Amber Valley wait with her until the ambulance arrived but also arranged for additional visits within twenty-four hours, for which I was most grateful. Another key strength, amongst others, is the continuity of carers, meaning my mother feels safe and comfortable, which in turn provides me with the reassurance that she is receiving the best possible care when I cannot always be available.

Without fail all the carers have been lovely individuals, always extremely caring, cheerful and kind and a pleasure to have around. They are incredibly flexible and reactive to Mum’s needs and tolerate her often defensive demeanour with generous patience.
The whole team is thoroughly professional with excellent communication from the office team and very helpful daily written updates from the carers. The team has been quick to react to any problems or issues regards my Mum's well being, offering up practical and common-sense solutions. Without them and their support Mum would not be able to live the life she wants in her own home.

I needed care for two elderly neighbours, one for end of life care, the other for dementia. Bluebirds were totally professional from our initial meeting until unfortunately, the ladies passed away. When I needed extra care during the day and someone to sit overnight they did their utmost to help. Each one of the Bluebird carers were kind, helpful and extremely caring.
