My Mum is an 'interesting' character. She has moderate Alzheimer's but refuses to acknowledge she has any memory problems and lives alone. We were only just managing to support her ourselves until she was diagnosed with Diabetes. We managed to get one of the managers in to assess my Mum under the pretence of being a family friend and got a care package in place. There were initially a few issues with her letting the carers in but now everything is settled. We have carers once a day to provide a meal and medication. I cannot speak highly enough of the whole team from the managers to the carers and I have to say a special thank you to the carer who I often see and is always singing and laughing with my Mum. I work in Healthcare myself and am completely impressed with the professional nature of this organisation from the management team, record keeping and medicine dispensing.
If you are looking for an excellent care agency in Belper you need to look at Bluebird.
Very well organised, excellent staff and carers. We are very pleased with the service provided and of course the support from the office.
High standard of caring. Very helpful friendly staff, able to deal with my mothers changing moods due to her dementia. Mum was very happy in their company. Tried to take her out to varied places she would like and enjoyed her meals out. Very obliging with extra hours/days at short notice. We will miss them.
Her team will miss seeing her and we hope that she settles in the care home soon.
Mother has been using Bluebird Care for three years. They are good and caring and do as required.
My Mum was cared for by the Bluebird care team from the first point she needed a single, brief, call once a day to the end when she was having 4 thorough calls each day - She received care that, I would suggest, is pretty much as good as it gets. As my mum was in early stage of Dementia, she and I very much valued the consistency of her seeing a small, dedicated team of carers which meant she never had the anxiety of having to deal with faces she didn't recognise - This isn't easy to deliver, but Bluebird did all these amazing things for my mum from the beginning to the end when she passed away age 90 in January. They are just simply the best.
Thank you, John. It was a pleasure to support your mum and it worked so well working together with you. We miss you both.
Mum has carers three times a week in the mornings - the carers are polite, friendly, and helpful. They are flexible, i.e. if we suggest places for them to take mum to visit or things she needs buying, they are more than happy to accommodate our wishes. They are very responsive on email and very clear in instructions. The director, in particular, he has been extremely helpful in setting up the arrangements with us for mum and always enquiring how she is etc. We are very happy with Bluebird Care. Thank you.
I was involved in drawing up the Care Plan before care started and in revising it as her needs have changed. Bluebird put in a lot of effort to understand her complex needs.
The carers are well trained, friendly and cheerful. They take the time to understand her non-verbal communication and are flexible in responding to my mother's varying needs if there is time helping out with washing, washing up and cleaning. They can be left to care for her without much input from me, providing a much-needed respite.
My mother has slightly improved over the period, which has in no small part been due to the quality of care provided by Bluebird.
I would not hesitate in recommending them.
Because of poor mobility, due to arthritis, I have used Bluebird Care for the last 3 or 4 years. This enables me to stay in my own home.
A carer comes in each morning to help me wash and dress and at other times to take me to the doctor, dentist or shopping.
The carers are kind, efficient and carry out their work in a most respectful manner.
They encourage me to do as much as I can myself so that I still have some independence.
I am very satisfied with the service I receive from Bluebird Care.
Living alone, I very much appreciate a daily 'safe and well' check and occasional help with tasks I now find difficult in day to day housekeeping. I also look forward to getting out once a week for local trips or appointments and find the companionship of all the carers invariably cheerful and supportive.
The carers have all been very kind and supportive, providing appropriate personal care discreetly without being overbearing and meals/snacks as desired while encouraging a healthy eating regime. I have been confident in their strict regime for medication. Visits are never missed even if, on rare occasions, a previous client's problems caused a delay. Domestic duties are done as needed. My friend looks forward daily visits.
We started with 45min appointments, 5 days a week. This has quickly grown to visits twice a day and they are proving very helpful.
We are impressed with the care taken by Blue Bird management to ensure we met each of the staff.
Everyone has been very friendly and cheerful. We are especially pleased that staff from Blue Bird always arrive exactly on time, always smartly dressed and arrive with a smile.
We would have no hesitation in recommending them to anybody in need.
Caring and very considerate. Very satisfactory.
I have been looked after by Bluebird Care for well over a year now and find both office and care staff exactly what it should be - caring. This says it all.
Bluebird Care (Amber Valley) have provided me with excellent service. They provide me with a highly professional team of careers who have the skills and patience to look after my complicated and varying needs. No task or request is too small or too complicated, they show great initiative and are always prompt and courteous.
I was always kept up to date if there was a problem.
I enjoy my care service and rely on it totally.
My daughter approached Bluebird Care on my behalf, their response was immediate, a home visit to me to discuss my personal needs. I was obvious to me that the recipients needs must be equally positive, itemised specifically. I engaged Bluebird Care and received excellent service, always prompt, kept my private needs in a most understandable way. The downside of their service is - in one week I had 4 different cares, newcomers to me, which I did not like, so haven't engaged them subsequently. My needs at 100 years of age are spasmodic during periods when my daughter and her husband go on holiday, which I have encouraged them to do frequently - Bluebird have always responded promptly.
This lady used our respite service on an infrequent basis. The care referred to relates to September 2014 when the lady did receive more carers than usual but at her specified times. This sometimes happens with respite care as we do need to prioritise our regular customers. We have reviewed our...
Excellent service and I'm very happy with it. It's done me the world of good.
I am totally satisfied with the service.
I have had the misfortune of experience of other care agencies and have found Bluebird Care Belper to be the Rolls Royce of the care industry, their focus on the client and their individual needs is impressive. Both management and carers show genuine empathy, respect and care towards both mum and I. Mum is treated as a person and is engaged on all levels their patience and professionalism is maintained at all times and emphasis is always placed on maintaining mums dignity. For me they are easily contactable at all times and receptive to inevitable changes they listen and always do their best to help. I feel very lucky to have mum's care in the hands of Bluebird and have peace of mind and the confidence that mum is safe.
