I contacted Robin Homecare when my 93yo mother's care needs (elderly care, dementia) became too difficult for me to manage. Initially she resisted anyone coming into the home but that changed when she met the care managers and her carers. They were all outstanding, I cannot praise them enough. Not having any previous experience of dealing with care services, I was very impressed by their genuine care, respect, sensitivity, friendliness and professionalism, and how well the carers were matched to the client, my mother. They established rapport very quickly. I was confident that my mother was in safe hands. They made contact with me as soon as there were any concerns and were available if I had any. Initially a carer came once a day to help with personal care - washing, dressing etc - but later another came to help with medication. They were a tremendous help to my mother in the last 9 months of her life. I valued the live electronic monitoring service. A HUGE thank you!
Robin Home Care looked after my father for 18 months before his death in June at 87. The quality of their care was exceptional. Initially one carer looked in on my father twice a week after I convinced him that I needed some support with his care. As a result of the kindness and gentle care he received right from the beginning, he agreed to a ramping up of support as it was needed. Robin Home Care were brilliant in adapting to his changing needs. They were also excellent at communicating with me and providing additional care when I was away. My father was diagnosed with cancer at Christmas and the Robin Home Care team continued to adapt seamlessly to his needs. At the end, he suddenly needed significantly increased levels of support. I will be for ever grateful to the team at Robin Home Care that over those last two weeks he was cared for only by carers he and I already knew which I know cannot have been straightforward for them to manage. This is a team of people who truly care.
Two wonderful ladies have been looking after my mother on a twice weekly basis for several years, until she recently went into a care home . They were both absolutely fantastic . Really kind and caring and a pleasure to have a round . I cannot speak highly enough of both these two ladies and Robin home care itself. The staff have been unfailingly helpful, efficient and kind and made us feel like nothing was too much trouble .I am so glad i found them when i did .
Robin Home Care helped support my mother during the last two years if her life, firstly going round for short daily visits to say hello and check on her until finally supporting her daily with her more complex care needs weeks before her death. Throughout all this time every member of staff treated my mother with care, respect and with genuine concern for her happiness and health. Their support to me as well during this time was invaluable. They were also able to co-ordinate well with Mum's live in carers to ensure that Mum got the best support she could.
Would recommend this team without hesitation to any one.
My 91-year-old mother had a serious health crisis and suddenly I found myself having to care for her at home upon her discharge from hospital. It was incredibly stressful and on top of that, we had a pre-booked short break abroad and thought we would have to cancel it. I was lucky enough to know of Robin Home Care, looked them up, and gave them a call and that's when things started to improve. They were calm and reassuring. They took time and a great deal of care to understand Mum and her needs and organised a package of daily care and an enhanced package for when we were away. They thought of everything and discussed the details fully with me and involved my mother too. The carers were without exception sympathetic, efficient, friendly, and kind, and the managers were always ready to step in and give additional support as and when needed. The company is run in a highly professional way, the standards of care are excellent and I have no hesitation in recommending them.
The manager and the team cared for my father at home with us for nearly 3 years until my father passed away. I cannot rate them highly enough. Every single member of the team is outstanding. True care, compassion, reliability, professionalism and respect. My father absolutely adored all of them, and so did we. On top of the exceptional care, they also gave us counsel, advice and friendship that we could not have done without. The manager and her team should be running the NHS!
I received excellent care and support when I left hospital following a hip replacement operation. Robin Homecare did everything possible to ensure that I was safe and comfortable in my home. All the staff and carers I interacted with were unfailingly kind, pleasant, helpful and competent and went 'above and beyond' to ensure that all my needs were met and that my recovery period was comfortable and stress-free. I cannot praise them highly enough.
On (rare) occasions where a carer is unable to attend, a member of the management team steps in to provide a seamless service.
The carers have been without exception punctual, efficient and polite. When required, they are willing to go beyond their brief, assisting in a variety of tasks (food shopping, watering the garden, posting letters) with unfailing courtesy and good nature.
I will always be grateful to Robin Home Care for providing the crucial assistance that enabled my relative to fulfil her last wish - to live out her days in her own home.
Our family researched carers online through the homecare website - we entered into a contract for daily/weekly care with Robin Home Care. It lasted nearly five years.
The management of Robin Home Care was fantastic from day one. They provided multiple home visits to educate all of us, interviewed our mother and her husband to determine a perfect set of carers. With my sister and I living abroad, we needed to be certain that the right care was provided and that we could monitor care (Robin Home Care portal was easy to use).
They provided mental support for us all and went above and beyond to make sure our parents had the best care at home - that's what our mother and her husband ultimately wanted.
We heartily recommend Robin Home Care and their team. Thank you.
As a first-time user of a home care service, I was apprehensive as to what to expect and the type of service I would receive during the recovery from my operation. But I had nothing to worry about as Robin Home Care were professional, attentive, and caring from day one. Everything was tailored to my needs and my two carers could not do enough for me and were so friendly, caring and kind and I can not thank them enough. Also, the leadership team were also marvellous and attentive to any changes to my care that were needed. A brilliant organisation that I would have no hesitation in using again or recommending to others.
We have nothing but the highest praise for all the staff at Robin Home Care. Our relative is treated with respect and dignity. His carers and the management team have been very responsive with any extra care/support needs. They have been invaluable in supporting him with some last minute care needs. I am always reassured by the speed of Robin Home Care's response; we hope there won't be any emergencies but we feel confident that, should anything happen, they will be there for him.
Robin is a well-run and organised company and I have no hesitation in recommending them for all levels of care.
You responded to my call for home help effectively and quickly and I am very happy with the real quality of care that Mum received from you. It is because you took time to really understand Mum's wishes and needs and made sure the care was tailored appropriately. The carers who looked after Mum were both wonderful and kind. They made Mum very comfortable at a time when she was really in need of the right help. Thank you so much. I have no hesitation at all in highly recommending Robin Home Care.
I would definitely recommend Robin Home Care to anyone looking for care for their loved one.
Robin Care took very good care of my Aunt after she had a fall, followed by a short stay in hospital. The family were worried as our Aunt lived on her own in her own house and strongly wanted to remain at home for as long as she was able. I can't praise enough the personal care and kindness that all the carers, that attended my aunt, gave to her. They made her feel valued and not just an elderly client. At 97 yrs of age but still strong in mind, her body started to let her down so we wanted carers to call in to make sure she was prepared for the day and had food three times a day. My aunt loved chatting to all the carers and appreciated all they did for her. I can recommend Robin Home Care unreservedly for anyone who is looking for excellent local care.
This is the second time I have used the Robin Home Care Service following a hospital stay, and on both occasions, I have been delighted. I had major back surgery and, because there were complications, my discharge date changed three times. Each time I had to tell the staff that the date for my overnight carer was changed. She was so nice about it, telling me not to worry and to focus on getting better. I had the same overnight carer, every night. She was lovely. When I needed a carer for one night the following week I had the same staff member again. Both the team this year and the overnight carers I had last year were excellent. I think Robin Home Care is brilliant, and I would be happy to recommend it to everyone who needs an overnight carer.
It was a very difficult time for me to arrange care for my father, his dementia had progressed to a stage where he could no longer remember to take his medication or prepare food, I met with several providers. Robin homecare assured me that they could deliver the standard of care I was looking for and had contingencies in place to insure my father would receive the level of care agreed 100% of the time, they managed to do this and more, and everyone who cared for my father did so with respect and kindness. As my father's condition and needs progressed Robin Homecare were quick to notice a gap and meet dad's changing care needs. My father was able to stay in his own home until the last few weeks of his life. I consider myself very fortunate to have had Robin Homecare provide care for my father, they managed to deliver a level of care that exceeded my expectations. I am truly thankful.
Robin Home Care is an excellent organisation. Its excellence cascades down from its leadership team and runs through all aspects of its operations. It is reflected in its standards, professionalism, staff, understanding and anticipation of care needs, and how sensitively they respond to them. You feel you are in safe hands.
Moreover, in the last three months, Robin Home Care went the extra mile. They supported my mother and me practically, emotionally and with information and advice when NHS and community services, that became involved due to my mother’s deteriorating health, were badly failing. Robin Home Care could not have done more. Thank you.
We have been kept fully informed of any issues and given timely notice of any concerns regarding our mother's physical and mental health. It is reassuring to know she is in such good hands.
