Caremark Kirklees is a family-run, award winning home care provider delivering care and support to people within their own homes and their community.

Based in Huddersfield, it provides support to enable people throughout the Kirklees area to remain living safely and comfortably within their home, while allowing them to live full and independent lives and retaining their dignity.

An accredited provider of care to Kirklees Council, as well as providing publicly funded care, it also provides care for private customers wishing to remain in their own home.

Staff help clients to remain living as independently as possible by providing different levels of care and support dependent on requirements.

Care is tailored to each client's specific needs and budget, and can include as little as half-hour support to complex round-the-clock care.

Staff and care workers are professionally trained and screened before working for Caremark, and care workers are carefully matched to clients and their individual needs to ensure the best care can be provided.

The whole focus is on delivering the highest quality of care possible in order to improve the quality of life for people who receive support.

We have had Caremark carers in for Mum for eighteen months now and we are very happy with the services provided. Caremark are a friendly, efficient and well-organised company with apparently high recruitment and training standards which means we have been very happy with all of Mum’s care. Any minor
tweaks and shortfalls we have felt necessary to bring to Caremark’s attention (all very minor) have been received with politeness and swiftly dealt with. Not only has Mum benefitted enormously from the care services offered, the family has been relieved of so much stress. Over the time period using Caremark, our confidence in you has never been shaken and we are happy that Mum is safe, secure and happy in the hands of your staff. Many thanks to you.

A big thank you to the team at Caremark, who have looked after Mum for the past nine months. The care team are kind, thoughtful, and clearly enjoys their work. Nothing was too much trouble. The office staff were always helpful whenever I contacted them.

Dad was diagnosed with dementia almost three years ago and whilst he manages very well at home on his own, I oversee his needs on a daily basis, making sure he's coping and in good spirits, as well as doing his shopping and washing.
In the past, Dad has really struggled mentally if we were going away
on holiday, knowing that I wasn't just down the road to help out if needed. We, therefore, decided to engage the services of Caremark in August, to look on and visit Dad twice a day.
They arrived each morning for an hour and again in the evening, giving Dad the mental and social support required, and us the peace of mind that he was in safe hands and would feel safe and cared for.
It worked perfectly well. The online app enabled me to review the outcome of each visit and to know who was attending each time.
Dad thoroughly enjoyed the company and social interaction. Nothing was too much trouble for Caremark. We wouldn't hesitate to use them again and recommend them without hesitation.

Caremark (Kirklees) provide a professional service. My Mum feels well cared for and they do their best to support her with her needs. All staff are friendly and show an understanding of Mum’s needs. Mum receives a weekly timetable so that she knows when to expect her various calls and staff are usually
very punctual. The staff tidy up after themselves, which is wonderful and demonstrate the high level of care they provide. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, every effort has been made to keep my Mum safe. I cannot say how reassuring it has been to have such competent staff support her. They makes sure they follows procedures. Thank you so much. Any problems, which are very minor and very rarely, have been resolved quickly and professionally by the office.

My brother has been looked after by Caremark since July 2019 and after a shaky start, where there were lots of carers, he quickly was pleased with the regular staff. I have met most of the staff and they are friendly and caring and contact me if they need to mention something. The management are always
quick to answer queries and make any improvements.

With new staff, a caring managing director and a new manager who cares, I would like to congratulate Caremark for the changes. I would recommend them to anyone, which I did last week to someone looking for care for her mother. The staff are very professional and kind, caring and relaxed.

Caremark (Kirklees) are a fantastic, well-run and managed care company. They are very professional and passionate about caring for people in their own homes. All the staff are compassionate and care so much for my 90-year-old mother who has dementia. My mother wants to stay in her own home and Caremark
enable her to do this with safety and dignity.
All the carers are wonderful and go above and beyond to care for Mum.

I have had excellent care from several care workers in receiving help whilst waiting for an operation. This was given with great kindness and patience. Their duties ranged from helping with showering, hair washing and household duties such as ironing and cleaning. Altogether most helpful and caring.

I am very happy with the care provided for my Mum, nothing seems to be too much trouble for them. All the staff I have had dealings with, mainly over the phone, have been very helpful and supportive of my Mum's needs.

Great friendly staff and very efficient when handling my husband who becomes difficult when it comes to personal care. They talk him through the motions which manages to calm him down. They are experienced in handling dementia patients, the illness which my husband suffers. I would not be able to take
care of my husband at home if this service did not exist.

Inspired by the memory of my Grandfather, Murray Affleck, who was a well-known and respected Doctor (Consultant Physician) at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, I have opened Caremark Kirklees with the vision to become the best provider of home care in the region. The focus is on delivering the highest quality of care possible in order to improve the quality of life for the people supported by Caremark.


Born in the Holme Valley and raised in Huddersfield, I have a wide ranging business background, with both international and UK sales experience. My mission is to provide a local service where I can make a difference to those who have chosen to remain in their own home and receive personal care to enable them to be independent, secure and retain their dignity.

Fiona started at Caremark (Kirklees) in August 2020 as our new Recruitment and Training Manager. A qualified teacher, she has joined her husband Duncan in the family business and has been tasked with attracting and training new carers as part of the expansion plans for Caremark (Kirklees)
