Home Instead (Greenwich & Bexley)

I grew to rely heavily on the expertise of both the carers and office staff of Home Instead for advice with regard to looking after my mum and I am able to recommend the company unreservedly.

The 2 people from Home Instead seem to be very well suited. They are really nice people, very happy to go along with my husband and I. Home Instead selected them to be compatible. It would be useful if they had specific dementia training.

This Care Service has proved invaluable. All the staff from Admin staff to Caregivers have been friendly and competent and reliable and accessible. Most importantly the individual caregivers have been incredibly compassionate, capable, understanding and reliable. Mum has had the same care covers consistently for most of the time, and for the rare occasion of illness etc covering staff have also been consistent and familiar. Any queries I have had have been dealt with helpfully and every effort made to accommodate our wishes.

Mum has a carer who takes her to Wednesday art class. It is very enjoyable for mum. The communication of management is very good.

Home Instead has been an amazing company to deal with. They have supported the family throughout a difficult period, where Mum was in respite and hospital. They made the transition from hospital to home effortless for us as a family, and the carers we have in for Mum are so caring and professional. All in all, I couldn't imagine using another agency now that I have the excellent support of all Home Instead Staff.

Yes, they are a little more expensive than other agency's but then you get what you pay for!

The carer/care given provided by Home Instead was a great help to my mum and the family. She was caring and friendly and we all felt comfortable and happy. She was always happy to help out and kept us informed of any problems. When someone is caring and enjoying their work, it always shows.
