The care I receive is excellent. The care staff are friendly, helpful and caring. Their manager works hard to arrange my care and can be turned to for advice.

Excellent care, treated respectfully, no complaints.
The weekly invoices that I receive and pay at once need more rigorous checking before issuing, re rates charged per session. One major error over 23 weeks gave rise to a cumulative overcharge of over £300 before my husband noticed it. (This was immediately and efficiently dealt with when it was pointed out). In contrast, we are currently dealing with a typo on the invoice/spreadsheet of 9p per Sunday evening!

It may be that not all service user/clients or their helpers (or indeed Local Authorities) are able to pick these errors up.

We have been fortunate to have a great team of carers for Mum. Some of whom feel like old friends after a year of caring. Mum and the family are so grateful for the help and support given by the team.

Very good, very few problems. I feel I am treated with respect and very good about giving minor medical attention.

Sometimes the 'new' carers don't always understand my needs on the first few visits but it is picked up quickly if contact the agency.

Dad and I are very pleased with the care company. They have been incredible recently with changes in Dad's conditions. They have listened to me and implemented the change needed easily and with care and dignity. Two carers, in particular, go over and beyond their duties Fantastic.

On the whole very pleased with care given to my uncle. Some fine tuning at the start, but now everything, more or less, is how I like and expect things to be done. My uncle is always clean and tidy and the house is kept tidy. I cared for my uncle for six years before considering care but would recommend Kare Plus.

Our client has sadly passed away and the service and care Kare Plus have shown both before and since the death has been exceptional. For instance, during the time that they looked after this client, they treated her as a friend rather than a client and organised special treats for the client's 60th birthday. Our client had no known next of kin and although Kare Plus's responsibility had ceased upon the death, they have gone far beyond what would normally be expected in the circumstances. They have taken it upon themselves to register the death and organise the funeral, having known from a long and close involvement, the wishes of this client. This has included putting together an album of photos of the client to be shown at the funeral and the writing of a eulogy. I deal with many care companies and Kare Plus, Crewe, stand out as far and away the best I have come across. Their title is reflective of their commitment to this client.

The standard of care is more or less adequate. The management and communication skills attaching to the organisation are deficient and in my opinion, totally inadequate for a company of this nature.

The final straw occurred today when nobody came for a 9.00am call and nobody had bothered to ring by 2.00pm to explain or apologise for the missed visit.

Every reader must acknowledge that if this were to happen to an elderly person living alone, perhaps with a bit of dementia, it would be extremely difficult and perhaps dangerous.

We have now cancelled the arrangement and I suggest that people thinking of using the facilities of this Agency be very careful.

The coordinator for this area has promised to send a letter of apology but last week she promised to visit (within the week) to deal with a previous problem. She didn't do that either so we won't hold our breath.

There's a mix of very competent and not so competent carers. My friend is immobile so it's frustrating when items she needs are left out of reach. A concern is when she's put to bed around 7pm and morning carers don't arrive until 10am or later. Also when she's given meals with little gap between eg. Breakfast 10:30am lunch 11:45am.
It seems there's never enough staff to cover the very demanding workload.

The competent staff are excellent and a welcome sight.

Kare Plus has been providing care to my mother for about a year. The standard of care has generally been excellent. She has had a key Carer who has been wonderful and she has consistantly given more than the agreed care plan. The other Carers have also been good.
Mum has had to get used to waking up earlier but has got used to this new routine. The only concerns we have had are the key safe and security, when on a couple of occasions it was left open while the Carer was in the house and one example of a Carer failing to flag up when medication hadn't arrived and writing an inaccurate entry in the notes.

Managers have been unfailingly pleasant, caring and helpful. We think Kare Plus exemplifies its name.

Jamie Hickson
Hi, my name is Jamie, I am the owner of blueberry care and have been since its inception.

I believe everyone has their own unique story of how they started in the healthcare industry; here’s mine.

My mother spent a period of time in a Care Home where I frequently visited her, always astonished by the quality of the care that was offered to her and the support of the staff that helped her during this time.

Once my mother passed, I realised the care industry was one that was significantly worth engaging in, and with my business background I decided the best way for me to support a caring company would be to create my own; blueberry care

A little over a decade later, I find myself in a very fortunate position with an incredible group of people around me, providing care that the team and myself can be very proud of. My goal is to set the standard for all of those in the blueberry care team and have us provide the best quality care in our area.

So far, I am incredibly proud of all of the people whose bios are below, as well as our day-to-day carers and office staff and everything we have achieved together.

It's a pleasure to work with such an amazing team that strives to provide the best possible service. I am always looking to improve the processes we have in place and welcome feedback from our clients and staff.

My Name is Debbie Clowry,

I am the Agency Manager here at Blueberry care

I am a people person with a fun-loving personality and caring nature.

I have worked within the Recruitment Sector for 8 years, and love every aspect of my job role.
I have driven the business forward by offering 1-2-1 care for our clients and their families, I find this extremely rewarding knowing that the team and I have added value and made a difference in their lives.

None of this would be possible without my amazing team of workers who deliver the very best of care, they are passionate full of empathy and experienced in complex care.

Karen Williams Job Title: Recruitment Resourcer Joined: 2016
Karen Williams
Hi my name is Karen Williams,

I am the Recruitment Resourcer here at Blueberry Care.

I joined the blueberry team 6 years ago.

I started as a care worker in the Alsager area and I really enjoyed my time out in the field but the opportunity arose to work in the office as the Recruitment Resourcer,

I am the first point of contact for anyone who wants to join our team and I love being able to support a new staff member through the process, I still get a buzz seeing a new recruit put on their uniform for the first time.

I wanted to work in the care sector to help support people living independently for as long as possible.
