I cannot speak highly enough of the team at Home Instead. My husband suffers from Motor Neurone Disease and from August, 2025, he needed carers to get him up in the morning and showered and dressed. They all treated him with respect and compassion and we grew to consider them as friends. Unfortunately my husband's needs became ever more complex and reluctantly we had no option but for him to have full-time nursing care in a specialised facility. We would like to thank the whole team, especially Cathy, Libby, Mary and Vicky, for enabling my husband to remain in his own home for as long as possible. They truly were his guardian angels.

We have found Home Instead a very professional and caring organisation. From the initial phone call to ongoing communication. Staff are always very pleasant and communicate clearly both with the relatives and the clients. The care givers are fully up to date with the care plan and ensure that it is carried out in a caring, respectful and timely manner. When there is going to be a change of care giver they are always introduced by the previous one this ensure continuity and familiarity for the client. The office team are very pleasant and proficient and are able to make changes quickly should the need arise. Finding the right care for a loved one can be fraught with challenges and Home Instead have made this path smoother and easier for us all.

Home Instead (Mid Cornwall) truly deserve their recent Outstanding award from the CQC. Having dealt with a number of care agencies , I can honestly say this team are in a league of their own. My 93yr old aunt lives in our family home so, as much as Home Instead care for my aunt, we all needed to be comfortable with the care givers coming in to our home - and we are! The office team do a great job in responding to any changes we need to make. They are thorough in their record keeping and ensuring that all care givers know of changes to medications or tasks. The care givers are all genuinely caring people who work hard on every visit to make my aunt feel comfortable and safe. They always arrive at the time agreed, follow the routines in detail and above all offer dignity, respect and compassion. We particularly appreciate that we have a core team of carers, each one introduced on a shadow visit before coming alone. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

I have nothing but praise for Home Instead (Mid Cornwall). As Dad's sole carer, when I had an accident and broke my ankle, I was so worried about how we would manage. I completed the enquiry form on the Home Instead web site on a Saturday afternoon and Patrick called me straight back despite being on holiday himself! A care package was put in place the following week and it was such a relief all round. The team were all reliable, efficient and caring. Dad was introduced to each new carer in turn which was very reassuring. Each individual carer brought a breath of fresh air into the house with their cheerful manner. The care plan was tailored to Dad's changing needs. When he was admitted into a hospital, a 40 minute drive away from his home, arrangements were made for his familiar carers to visit him. I highly recommend Home Instead (Mid Cornwall), they truly provide outstanding care in every way.

As family with power of attorney we are always kept up to date with care and any issues.

We were very satisfied with the service provided. The companionship care package was excellent for providing my mother with some company and mental stimulation. The carers also helped with some food preparation and other small tasks around the house.

About 3 years ago,we desperately needed to find a care provider for my Mum.Home Instead were the only ones that could provide that care straight away which was a huge relief as I live hundreds of miles away.They quickly made Mum feel at ease and adapted to her specific wants and needs.She was treated as an individual with absolute respect and kindness.Soon afterwards we needed help for my Dad too and the team at Home Instead bent over backwards to put an extra care package in for Dad as well.My Dad was very resistant to the help initially but their patience, good humour and total empathy put him at ease.They kept us up to date with great communication,reacting and adapting to every little change that occurred with Mum and Dad's needs.Sadly Dad passed away 6 months later but we all felt so supported throughout that time.Home Instead remain with Mum to this day and allow her to remain independent and happy in her own home.Thank you to all the team, but especially Sandra, who's amazing!

Home Instead have put our minds at ease from the very start from enquiring about my grans needs, supplying us with as much information about what they can provide and how they can cater for us best. Nothing was too much trouble for them. When it came to setting up the care plan to suit my grans needs, every detail was taken care of. We're now a few months down the line and we still cannot fault them. They email us with any queries and never hesitate to call and we all sleep easier at night knowing gran has an excellent care package in place. They are always contactable, even out of hours if we ever need to get hold of them.

Home Instead (Mid Cornwall) provides truly outstanding care in your own home. All of the carers that work with Mum are very professional and efficient, but also incredibly kind, friendly and sensitive. The care given is very much tailored to the individual and the carers are happy to pitch in wherever needed. They are totally reliable, always arriving on time, as scheduled. Mum genuinely enjoys the visits, as the carers not only get the job done, but are also lovely people to chat to - there are plenty of laughs! The staff in the office are very helpful and supportive, easy to contact and very flexible when needed. Mum is delighted with the care she is receiving and we would not hesitate to recommend the team.

The care team who looked after my sister in law made a huge difference to her life. They restored her confidence and with visits lasting an hour each time there was no need to rush through each task. The continuity of the carers was well thought out and this also gave me peace of mind. Would certainly recommend Home Instead - and already have - to anyone who wanted an exceptional care team. Home Instead (Mid Cornwall) has been very obliging and helpful since I contacted them for some help with my husbands care. We were visited at home and my husbands needs assessed and a plan made. Great care was taken to ensure that my husband and his carers made a good fit and got on well. When I needed to increase the hours of help, we were accommodated very quickly. We regularly meet with the manager to check if any changes need to be made and that we are happy with the service. We are more than satisfied and grateful to Home Instead for their professionalism and compassion across the board.

When we decided to look for a little care for mum we were recommended Home Instead in St. Austell. Mum was really apprehensive and didn't really want any help and especially in her home. We had a trial run and the team came out to assess mums needs, she now looks forward to seeing the carers. They bring a bit of sunshine to mum's days whether it is first thing in the morning or giving her tea in the evenings. The chats, caring, and assistance is second to none. Mum loves their visits. If anytime we needed to make changes to her care package due to extra needs, everything possible was done to achieve this. It is such a caring company and it helps the family with caring for mum.

Due to suffering some falls and then breaking a foot, I reluctantly moved Mum into a care home recently but I will always be so grateful to Home Instead (Mid Cornwall) staff and would definitely recommend them as an option for care.
