My dad needed extra help at home, as at 92, he has started to struggle. One lady was nominated to be our (dad, my sister and myself) link care supervisor and advisor. We met during August to discuss a care package and start date. My dad liked her straight away, and very quickly, a humorous banter was taking place. Everything was explained in detail about Bluebird Carers. Therefore, a date of start of care was set for September. Today, Dad had his visit with our nominated carer and her partner - very kind, thoughtful and patient, plus very professional. Dad was pleased to see her again and struck up a conversation with the other carer. He really appreciated the help and care he was given, and I noticed he looked less stressed and breathless. Even Dad's old companion cat introduced himself to the nominated carer. Thank you, and very pleased to have Bluebird on board for Dad's care.
The biggest caveat to get it right is to get this connection with whoever we look after. I am pleased our team is even taking a shine to the cat! Hopefully, you will feel comfortable with our service.
Bluebird Care have been providing support to our family for a good few years; first of all for Dad and now for Mum. The managers are very responsive to Mum's various needs and also act in a proactive way to help her, which boosts her confidence and which in turn helps the family. They choose their staff carefully, who are trained to a high standard, work very hard and are always very kind. Our family has full confidence in Bluebird! Thank you!
It is great to hear you are happy with our care services. We hope to continue to support you satisfactorily.
Bluebird Care has been brilliant, really responsive to my dad's needs and has taken the time to make my dad see the benefit of them coming around. I highly recommend them.
Thank you for your kind review. We hope to continue to deliver a high-care quality service.
Very nice to deal with a local company which meets my needs.
It is great to hear you are happy with our live-in care services. We hope to continue to support you satisfactorily.
I am pleased to be able to say that I have been very satisfied with the care provided so far. The carers have been professional, respectful and friendly. This has allowed us to build a positive and successful relationship which has inspired confidence in the service provided.
It is always great to get such positive feedback, the manager and her team go beyond their call of duty to ensure that we execute what we promise.
Might I suggest that when a man is coming in, we could be advised? Friday was a very different day as I had two policemen here, but all was well. They did ask me if I was expecting a man to call, and I said no. They went outside to meet him - I'm sure he was surprised.
In general, the teams do call if it is a change in the roster. We do send all our customer rosters, and you can check yourself if there is someone you do not know.
Consideration to details of need are excellent as is an appropriate and effective level of support in terms of advice.
Thank you for these kind words. Our teams often go above and beyond, and we hope to keep people longer in their own homes.
We are very happy with the service we get. Everybody who came has been very friendly and happy, always do a lot of what I need doing depending on their time, it's working out very well. We have people come at the weekend they can see if we need anything e.g medical they can call for us. Thanks to all of the wonderful people and service.
Thank you for your kind remarks, and we hope to continue our high standard of care.
I would fully recommend Bluebird Care, they looked after my 86 year old mum in her own home for nearly 3 years, visiting 3 times a day. They gave me peace of mind as I live over an hour away and on a few occasions, they were able to be with my mum when she had a fall and waited for me to arrive. They went over and beyond their care duties.
Thank you for your kind comments. It is pleasing to hear you feel supported by our team.
I cannot rate the Bluebird Care team highly enough. I only wish that I had begun using their services much sooner. Each and every carer that came on a daily basis were so kind and caring to my Mum. She called me each evening to ask me to attend the next session so I could meet them all (which kind of defeated the purpose of them visiting her!!). I shall be singing their praises to all my friends, and recommend them highly. Nothing was ever too much trouble for them and I found the online access to Mums visits so helpful, it told me everything I needed to know. Mum is currently in a care home having some respite, as sadly I feel that is probably where she needs to be now on a permanent basis, but for anyone who can remain in their own home but just needs that bit of extra help - Bluebird Care are your people for sure!
Thank you for your review, that is so lovely to hear. We shall miss your mum and we hope she will settle. If she does not, you know where we are and we could support her with maybe live-in care. All the best.
My friend has benefitted from the help of Bluebird live-in carers for nearly three years. This was great for him when he needed help around the home and help with his personal care. As his needs became more complex with age living at home was no longer appropriate. He was moved into a local care home. For clients who want to stay at home and just need help Bluebird supplies an extremely valuable service.
You were a great friend to him for all those years.
There have been minor issues specific to my father's needs, but in all such cases, as soon as such issues are raised with the care team, they are resolved very promptly.
One of the most important aspects of the care package is that my father both accepts and welcomes the care he is receiving, and indeed, looks forward to the twice-daily visits.
The team are very polite to my father, and always seem to have the skill and compassion required to put him at ease if he ever gets stressed or worried about anything.
The Care package is very flexible, and permits adjustments sometimes necessary, if my father's routine changes, (i.e. he is visiting family for a few days etc.)
Thank you for your kind words. For us your feedback is important. Getting the care right, is always a difficult path with expectations of families and what we can do according to regulations from CQC. We hope that dad will continue to enjoy the help of the carers.
Specialist care is a top feature for Bluebird Care would have no hesitation in recommending them.
Thank you for your kind feedback. Our teams work hard to provide the best home care quality.
I'm very pleased with the result of hiring Bluebird Care to provide a care service for my mother. My mother now remains in good spirits and is contented in her everyday life. The primary reason for hiring a care company was to ensure my mother remains in her "comfort zone" due to her Alzheimer’s and Dementia conditions and not become agitated and/or unduly worried about her physical and mental state. Bluebird Care have kept my mother in her "comfort zone" by monitoring her medicine intake for both Alzheimer’s and Dementia and reviewing her general well-being.
Thank you for your kind feedback. As a Managing Director, it is important to work with families so they can have quality time with their parents rather than all the time worrying. We hope to continue to support you in your Care journey
My dad has benefited greatly from having Bluebird. It allows him to live in his own home despite his age and disabilities. He looks forward to the carers’ visits, which have been especially important in lockdown as we don’t live locally.
Bluebird has given me peace of mind because I know that the carers will spot problems in advance and do not hesitate to take appropriate action.
The senior staff are all very approachable and friendly. I feel that I have someone on my side when things get a bit tricky.
The team are great at communicating with the family, as they know how important it is to work as a team.
I have no hesitation in recommending Bluebird.
Thank you, Bluebird, for all your hard work and support. You are doing a wonderful job.
Thank you for your kind review. The team always go beyond their care of duty and it definitely benefits your dad. You can be assured he is looked after by our Portsmouth team.
My Mum has benefitted greatly from the Bluebird Care Team. They make sure she gets up each morning, has a wash or shower, gets dressed, has a good breakfast and takes her medication. They have also taken her to a medical appointment when necessary. Most importantly they talk to my Mum which means that she now has something to tell me every day when I speak to her. This has been fantastic during the 'lockdown' because she lives on her own and may not have spoken to anyone during the day. Face to face contact has been invaluable. My Mum really likes all the staff who visit her and has found them very caring, chatty and helpful.
Thank you so much for these kind words. The team works hard to get it right for your mum and you as her daughter.
The ladies who have come to help my husband have been very patient and delivered great compassionate care. I am able to continue working because of the great support that they are providing as I don’t have to worry as much about what is happening at home.
Thank you for your positive feedback. We hope to continue making a difference to you both in terms of support and care.
Bluebird staff are so polite and caring. I get so lonely and when the carers turn up I cheer up so much as I have someone to talk to and they get on with the job. It's brilliant I'll never change Bluebird and I don't want any other carer now.
It is very pleasing to get this positive feedback. All our staff are handpicked and selected on their care potential and compassion. We are pleased to get your praise and we hope to continue our support with you.
The Bluebird team are excellent and are allowing my parents to keep living independently. And allowing me to get back to work and not worry so much about my aged parents.
There is an app which allows me to see how my parents are doing every time the carers visit. Useful also for my brother who is not local to my parents.
Feel that with the Bluebird team in place I can now look after my parents better safe in the knowledge that medication is being taken and they are eating 3 meals a day.
The last couple of years could have been more comfortable for my parents and easier for me had I employed Bluebird earlier.
If any problem occurs I am immediately informed, and there has always proved to be an efficient communications system between the carers, the supervisors and myself - another essential confidence booster.
Mum's Bluebird carers are entirely responsible for her welfare, and almost her only contact with the outside world. The fact that she is happy, responsive and healthy is, for me, wonderful evidence of their success.
