Home Instead (Knowsley and Liverpool East) aims to provide high quality care to people in their own homes.

The care team is recruited and personally trained by the manager, who then matches care workers to clients based on their interests, background and personal experiences. Home Instead (Knowsley and Liverpool East) is selective in its recruitment, ensuring that only the most caring and compassionate people look after clients.

The service offers a wide range of home care which is flexible according to individual needs; care can be provided from as little as a few hours per week to as much as twenty-four hours a day.

The Home Instead care team offers companionship services, including conversation, help with travel and accompanying clients to social events and outings. Home help services are also available, such as collecting prescriptions, light housekeeping and providing help with shopping. The care team can also provide personal care, including assistance with washing, dressing and eating.

Dementia, respite and convalescence care are also available.

I was introduced to Home Instead 3 years ago when I was seeking a companion for my elderly father. From the outset Home Instead responded promptly to my request and we have not looked back since. The service provided is truly a lifeline. All staff are professional, efficient and courteous and the caregivers
have such empathy and genuinely care for my father's wellbeing. The service allows me to have time to recharge my batteries and enjoy hobbies or just catching up with friends. I would not hesitate to recommend Home Instead. Keep up the fantastic work.

Barry Lambert

Job Title: Director

I was born in Huyton and have spent most of my life living and working within Knowsley and Liverpool area.


After graduating from the University of Liverpool with a degree in Political Science, I began a 25 year career with one of the major high street banks. After the banking crisis, I realised I no longer shared the values of the banking sector and decided it was time for a change of direction.


I wanted to use my commercial and managerial experience to make a difference to peoples lives. In particular I was attracted by Home Instead unique focus on companionship, having experienced at first hand the impact of loneliness and isolation amongst elderly people.


My role is to manage and grow the business, by building strong relationships within the local community with groups and individuals who have close links to the elderly. I will personally ensure that my team deliver the highest standards of service, and put our client's interests at the centre of everything we do.

Hi, my name is Emma. I am the Registered Care Manager at Home Instead Knowsley and Liverpool East.


I joined Home Instead in December 2019 and have never looked back! I started with Home Instead in the role of Field Care Supervisor before becoming Care Manager in May 2021 and then Registered Care Manager in September 2021.


I have 16 years of experience in the care sector, including working in residential and non-residential settings.


I have completed my Level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, and also have a DipHe in Law.


I am a Moving and Handling and Medication trainer and the Office Safeguarding Champion.

Job Title: Care Coordinator

Hi, I'm Jude.


I am the scheduler at Home Instead Knowsley and Liverpool East.


I lived in London for 14 years but have now returned back home to Liverpool.


I have a degree in Social Work Studies and over the years I have worked with children, young people and older people with a variety of needs- learning and physical disabilities, as well as mental health issues.


I worked in London St George's allocating 600 staff and then moved to the Home Instead office in Wimbledon, however, I wanted to move back home and I am so glad I came to Home Instead Knowsley and Liverpool East.


I enjoy forming relationships with our CAREGivers and chatting to our clients whenever I can. I joined the team at the end of 2019 but already feel like I have been here for years.


I enjoy spending time with my family and I like to go on long walks in the park and do lots of reading.

Hi, my name is Shauna.


I initially trained as a barber after leaving school, but joined Home Instead as it was just starting out in 2014. I started as a CAREGiver and progressed to the position of Field Support Officer before I became the Deputy Care Manager and I am now the Recruiter.


I have completed the NVQ Level Three in Health and Social Care and I am always looking at ways to improve my knowledge and skills within the care sector.


As the recruiter, I enjoy looking for CAREGivers who will excel in their role and be able to provide the high standard of care we strive for. It's great to see the development of our CAREGivers and I am always on hand to help and make sure our new CAREGivers transition into their roles perfectly.


I enjoy working for Home Instead Senior Care because of their culture and values: it's so nice to have the personal touch. I had never worked in care before and am so grateful for this job as it gives me real job satisfaction knowing our clients are receiving the best care in their later life. We really are changing the face of ageing.


I have a little boy who is 1years old, he keeps me busy and I love being a mum. I enjoy spending time with my family and our little dog.

I am the part-time administrator at Home Instead Knowsley and Liverpool East. I joined the team in 2018.


I have over 30 years of experience in the social care sector, including being a senior care officer, a co-coordinator for providing care at home and also being the manager of a shelter scheme.


I have an NVQ level 3 in direct care, an NVQ level 3 in management of staff and certificates in food hygiene, health and safety and also fire safety.


I enjoy playing a part in ensuring the office runs as smoothly as possible and I am always on hand to assist our CAREGivers and clients with any of their needs.
