Well trained and experienced carers are always attentive and friendly and effort is made to match a client with a suitable carer by the office staff.

The initial introduction to the care provided was friendly, encouraging and gave a clear picture of what was on offer. The main attraction was that the client would be visited by the same carer each time and also that it would be a male carer. This was important for my husband as he could relate more as a friend and not feel patronised. The resulting care was excellent and my husband looked forward to the visits thus making it easier for me to enjoy the breaks I needed. My husband enjoyed going for walks, trips out in the car and discussions on politics and tv programmes. When mobility declined he was taken out in his wheelchair. An excellent service from carer and office staff.

Home Instead is a company who have been coming here for several years, primarily to care for my husband, who sadly passed away about 6 months ago. They were ALL fantastic; punctual, polite, caring and nothing was too much trouble. Their knowledge of caring was so kind and helpful in many, many ways. I have recommended them to many people and I find now if I need any help or advice they are the company I turn to.

All this has added to friendships developing also as he is visited by the same caregivers, which has meant that they have really got to know him, his likes and dislikes and have provided an overall, person-centred approach.

Care staff are excellent but there is a problem with management. Sadly they lose too many really good staff, therefore, you have to ask why.

Home Instead make it possible for my mother to continue to live in her own home. They provide me with regular feedback and the knowledge that someone is seeing my mother every day.

The care and understanding given by the staff and Carers during challenging times has been first class. Nothing has been too much trouble and the family find it very reassuring that their relations are cared for when the family live some distance away. I know from being with my sister-in-law when Carers call they all have her well-being at heart. Many thanks to them and their company.

The care provided by Home Instead is excellent. All the carers give the same level of support. The management is also excellent, my Husband's care plan is reviewed regularly. We have never had reason to complain about the level of care provided.

My mum has dementia and the caregivers take her out for a couple of hours twice a week. She goes to lots of different places and they usually have tea and cake or lunch. She loves going out with them. It breaks up her day. They have become good friends to her.

I, too, have been very pleased with their help, finding all the carers I have met to be kind, competent and professional. My husband is happy in their company, even though not always cooperative with personal care, especially in the evening but that is a feature of his illness and the carers cope with it very well.
