Eidyn Care Edinburgh

We are very pleased with the service being provided for our mother by the staff at Eidyn care. My mother in law (MIL) was very reluctant to accept she needed help or in her mind have strangers in the house. But when Eidyn care came to visit her and introduced the member of staff being allocated to visiting her, she reluctantly agreed to give it a try. Here we are almost a year later and she wouldn't be without them. The fact she gets the same person visiting every day for a full hour has made such a difference, she now looks forward to the visits. For us, it gives us peace of mind, we know she is getting a home-cooked meal daily, and small cleaning tasks around the home are being attended to.

Eidyn Care continues to provide bespoke service twice daily for my elderly mother. Their attention to detail is consistently excellent. Nothing is ever a problem. The carers are all extremely kind and do their utmost to make life as good as possible for Mum. Throughout the Pandemic Eidyn Care have provided an exemplary service. Their organisation and communication is excellent. I highly recommend Eidyn Care.

Health and Social Care introduced our client to Eidyn Care, she and her husband had initially been reluctant to accept support, as they had, had a poor experience previously. However from the initial assessment visit Eidyn Care have been superb, they put the client at ease, respectfully listened to what she had to say and answered all her questions, no matter how "silly" they seemed. Also, Eidyn Care understand the importance of consistency of carers and make every effort to ensure that the same small group of carers provide the support. Our client has got to know her carers, who have all been caring and kind, often going above and beyond what was required. It would not be an exaggeration to say that Eidyn Care have positively changed our client's life.

All the carers are patient, kind and very considerate with Mum and have made all the difference to her life. It is so reassuring to know that Mum is being cared for so professionally and that I can always get in touch if there is anything I need to discuss with the agency. I have already recommended Eidyn Care to others and have only the highest praise for their level of care for Mum and contact with me.

Thank you for your continued support and help in these strange times. I hope the Government has sourced enough PPE for all of your staff and that they are taking all necessary precautions to look after themselves and our relatives.

We are very happy with Eidyn Care who go to great lengths to assist in many ways when we have additional needs in terms of stress eg when I was ill.

All the carers have been professional and have performed their tasks with kindness and humour.

Very efficient, and friendly, and no task is a problem, good timekeeping and very attentive to personal needs, towards the client.

Over the years, we have used quite a few different agencies to provide care for our mother but, over the last few months, we have been with Eidyn Care. Without hesitation, we can say that Eidyn has provided by far the best care service we have ever had. The management staff listen carefully and sympathetically to us at all times and make a lot of effort to find carers that are a good match for us and to ensure that the carers are fully aware of the family's requirements. They are quick to respond if we get in touch and extremely flexible about adapting care regimes. Most importantly, they try to minimise changes in carers. The three carers from Eidyn that we see regularly are all outstanding. They are very different from one another, which we like as they bring different ideas into the house. All of them, however, we have found to be open, honest, kind, cheerful, thoughtful and exceptionally good at dealing with someone with dementia. We think they are truly wonderful.

All the girls know how to care, not just tick boxes. They are very good and are accommodating to changes that have arisen with mum. We will be looking to increase visits for mum so that I can return to work.

We are delighted with the care provided by the Manager and her team. It was a very difficult time for us as a family, realising that following mum's fall she was no longer able to look after dad and herself. With the support and care of the Manager and her fabulous team, we have seen a huge improvement in mum. Mum feels comfortable with all the careers and loves hearing about their lives and families. We always knew it would be hard for mum to accept care, but she has responded positively and for that, we are all very grateful. Keep up the great work.

My mother-in-law who has MS moved to be near us after being widowed, she had experience of carers in her previous home but since using Eidyn Care's service she has been delighted with the care she has received. She is constantly telling me how lovely, accommodating and thoughtful they are. She has truly been touched not just by the level of care but by the many kind gestures that demonstrates how she is treated very much as an individual and not just a client, only this week she received flowers as it was the anniversary of her husband's death. Having met many of her carer's and the manager, I have seen for myself how nothing is ever too much trouble and that she is treated with respect and dignity. This has allowed my mother-in-law to live fully independent in her own home, continue to have a social life and not feel she has to depend on her family so much. It's a great comfort to us knowing she is being looked after so well.

I can't praise them highly enough.
