One of the great benefits of care at home is that the team can create the best care package for you. Whether you need help with day-to-day household tasks, would enjoy a hot cooked meal every day, assistance with your medication or personal care, they can support you in whatever manner you need.

If you have greater care needs including dementia, motor neurone disease or multiple sclerosis (MS) they can also provide you with a care package delivered by experienced, trained carers, many of who have worked as nurses, to allow you to live at home in dignity and comfort.

All the carers are patient, kind and very considerate with Mum and have made all the difference to her life. It is so reassuring to know that Mum is being cared for so professionally and that I can always get in touch if there is anything I need to discuss with the agency. I have already recommended

Over the years, we have used quite a few different agencies to provide care for our mother but, over the last few months, we have been with Eidyn Care. Without hesitation, we can say that Eidyn has provided by far the best care service we have ever had. The management staff listen carefully and sympathetically
to us at all times and make a lot of effort to find carers that are a good match for us and to ensure that the carers are fully aware of the family's requirements. They are quick to respond if we get in touch and extremely flexible about adapting care regimes. Most importantly, they try to minimise changes in carers. The three carers from Eidyn that we see regularly are all outstanding. They are very different from one another, which we like as they bring different ideas into the house. All of them, however, we have found to be open, honest, kind, cheerful, thoughtful and exceptionally good at dealing with someone with dementia. We think they are truly wonderful.

All the girls know how to care, not just tick boxes. They are very good and are accommodating to changes that have arisen with mum. We will be looking to increase visits for mum so that I can return to work.

We are delighted with the care provided by the Manager and her team. It was a very difficult time for us as a family, realising that following mum's fall she was no longer able to look after dad and herself. With the support and care of the Manager and her fabulous team, we have seen a huge improvement
in mum. Mum feels comfortable with all the careers and loves hearing about their lives and families. We always knew it would be hard for mum to accept care, but she has responded positively and for that, we are all very grateful. Keep up the great work.

My mother-in-law who has MS moved to be near us after being widowed, she had experience of carers in her previous home but since using Eidyn Care's service she has been delighted with the care she has received. She is constantly telling me how lovely, accommodating and thoughtful they are. She has truly
been touched not just by the level of care but by the many kind gestures that demonstrates how she is treated very much as an individual and not just a client, only this week she received flowers as it was the anniversary of her husband's death. Having met many of her carer's and the manager, I have seen for myself how nothing is ever too much trouble and that she is treated with respect and dignity. This has allowed my mother-in-law to live fully independent in her own home, continue to have a social life and not feel she has to depend on her family so much. It's a great comfort to us knowing she is being looked after so well.

Eidyn Care has been providing care for my disabled daughter for the last 6 months. My daughter has complex and very variable needs which the agency has taken great care to understand and address. Over the past 6 years we have used 3 other agencies, none of which have shown anything like the individual
care that Eidyn has. Importantly, unlike these other agencies, Eidyn seems to support and care for its carers too, rather than exploiting them.
I can't praise them highly enough.

Rebecca McLennan McLennan

Job Title: Clinical Director Joined: 2016

Rebecca, our Clinical Director, started her career in the Financial Services sector, and following the birth of her first son, realised that her vocation was helping people and retrained as a Nurse in 2009. Rebecca specialised in Oncology during the last year of her training at the Western General Hospital, Edinburgh, and after qualifying with her degree in Nursing, she remained there. Working on a busy oncology ward has provided Rebecca with many years of practical experience in delivering care to people who are at their most vulnerable, giving her the skills and insight to realise that helping people to live with dignity and respect at the end of their life was something Rebecca was passionate about pursuing.


In 2011, following the birth of her second son, Rebecca changed direction and moved to work at St Columba’s Hospice, Edinburgh, enhancing her skills and experience. It was this experience that prompted Rebecca to form Eidyn Care, along with her husband Andrew, to enhance services already provided in the community, allowing more people to stay in their own homes when faced with life-limiting difficulties. Rebecca recognises the need for people to feel comfortable within their own home environment, reducing the pain, stress and anxiety for clients and their loved ones.

Andrew has run his own successful business consultancy for many years, specialising in Information Technology (IT), managing large teams across the world and multi-million-pound budgets.


Andrew brings to Eidyn Care a vast amount of business knowledge ensuring we have the right systems and processes in place to support the delivery of quality care, allowing caregivers to have access to real-time information about their clients which means they can focus on their client and provide the best care for them.


As Operations Manager Andrew looks after the administration of the business, using technology to streamline the scheduling of the carers and manage payroll and invoices.

Caroline Simpson, Registered Manager at Eidyn Care Edinburgh, is a Registered Adult Health Nurse (RGN) with a degree from Edinburgh Napier University and a combined PDA in Leadership and Management for Care Services and SVQ 4.


She has extensive experience leading care teams and delivering services for adults and children with complex needs, including learning disabilities, autism, and other specialist conditions. Skilled in safe recruitment and placement of nursing staff, service compliance, quality audits, and staff mentoring, she develops systems that enhance both client outcomes and workforce performance.


Known for her strong leadership and compassionate approach, Caroline is committed to fostering a culture of excellence where every client receives dignified, person-centred care.
