Overall Experience

We are very pleased with the overall quality and level of care Mum is getting from the Abney & Baker team. Mum's much happier and settled and is taking her medication much more readily and regularly, which has contributed significantly to her overall health and wellbeing. The carers are friendly and engage her in conversation about her family - which she loves. Communication levels are good, and we feel much happier in knowing that Mum is having regular visits, as she has Alzheimer's. All in all a very positive experience.

Overall Experience

I have been very pleased with the care provided to my father under difficult circumstances. Also as my mother is becoming tired and incapacitated due to the onset of rheumatism and arthritis they have been helpful to her whilst respecting her independent inclination. However, because of this tendency on behalf of Mum, it is easy to be dissuaded from just getting on and doing. I'm finding this. I'm now not so much offering to do things but just doing them. It's difficult though because Mum gets irritated by others doing what she sees as her duties.

Overall Experience

In the present economic climate, the standard of care delivered is commendable. The carers provide a twice-daily, friendly, cheerful, and empathetic visit for the client and it is much appreciated by the client's husband. I am often impressed by the carer's ability to notice even minor changes in the client's condition and their care to record them in their reports. This is not the cheapest of services but as far as this husband is concerned, it is money well spent.

My mother has dementia and has support regularly in administering medication and checking she is okay, as she lives alone. Mum says the staff couldn't be more helpful. They are polite, caring and respectful. She feels happy to have them in her home and as her daughter, I value their kindness to her.

Overall Experience

Mum has been really happy with the friendly care she has received from her lovely carers. This is her first experience of care at home and she was nervous at the prospect of having strangers in the house. Abney & Baker have been very accommodating to her needs and fitting in with her preferred schedule of a late start in the mornings.

Abney & Baker have been looking after my wife for several years. Their conduct has been exemplary and we have never had cause for complaint. If it were not for Abney & Baker we would have had no visitors for months except for our son who brings our groceries once a week. They are always cheerful and friendly.

My husband has been a client for about 2 1/2 years. He needs some help with showering and dressing having mental, physical and sight impairment. Abney & Baker carers have been very kind and helpful, though we experience a considerable change over of staff. They also helped at lunchtime when I was unable to give him his meal.

All carers are efficient but in our experience two are excellent and very helpful. Without them, we could not manage to stay at home.

As husband of wife (client) for 54 years I want only the best care for her. Been with Abney & Baker from 26/4/2019. My experiences, so many all good. We have carers 4 times a day. Carers of all ages, friendly and caring. Young men and women, nice to see them working so well with the older carers. You will notice that I ticked excellent on all boxes - cannot fault. They also give me support when I feel down. Cannot thank them enough.
