My Mother has been receiving care at home daily from Home Instead for the last few years. I cannot speak highly enough of this incredible team through all the challenges that the pandemic brought. They did not once miss a scheduled time with her. They managed the ever-changing rules and regulations
with constant communication and transparency. We were constantly amazed by the professional way they navigated this very difficult time. As I am her eldest daughter living in California you can imagine this was not always convenient for them.
The carers themselves all bring different personalities and offered different opportunities for Mum to socialize. Some took her for a drive. Some liked to grocery shop. Some encouraged a fitness class or the occasional ice cream.
Mum has now moved into permanent residential care, even that transition they supported fully.
We cannot praise them enough!

My mother can no longer do general housework etc due to having Alzheimer's disease, so it's really helpful that the Caregivers do her cleaning, bed changing and laundry for her as well as helping with her lunch. In addition to this, they offer companionship which is invaluable and it's really helping
her mental health. They attend to her over 4.5 hours per week but they work hard in the limited time and are punctual. We have the App set up so after each visit we can read about the visit and see what tasks have been carried out, this is very useful. Based on our experience, I could certainly recommend Home Instead.

Excellent care received by all staff within the company, from management through to care providers. This was extended to all family members, not just my father. Any questions were answered very quickly, and with confidence by well-trained staff, who all displayed a passion for their job.

After an emergency operation for a fractured hip, we asked Home Instead for four hours a week, to provide personal care for me as well as general help with laundry, cooking and housework. The carers were invaluable, punctual, professional, hard-working, encouraging and kind, and enabled me to reach
my goal to look after myself with the help of my husband.

May father was supported by Home Instead from around March 2017 until September 2018. Every day he received a visit in the morning and the evening without fail. Each visit was 1 hour during which the carer on duty would prepare a meal for him, assess his condition and carry out any tasks, such as shopping
etc that he asked for. The carers were extremely kind and caring and went the extra mile whenever they could. Every carer that visited my father took time to chat with him and many of them became firm friends with him. The Home Instead management team went out their way to accommodate us when we were starting out navigating and learning the system. The managers visited regularly and contacted me if they needed to discuss anything. When the state and county council could not offer suitable support Home Instead was there and for that, I will always be grateful. This is a fantastic team and I can't recommend them highly enough. Thank you Home Instead.

Amazing care company. They give the best care to my grandmother in her old age, leaving our family extremely happy and comfortable letting her spend her final few years in the home she has always been in with the things connected to all her memories.
Always informing us of how my grandmother is if
one of us can't make it down to see her on a particular day.

I started using Home Instead at the start of October having never used an agency with trepidation. Any concerns were removed when I met the team. A carer visits mum twice a week and it is going really well. They accompany my mum to her singing choir and cook her a meal which she enjoys. They really
go the extra mile to ensure mum is happy and having continuity fo care really helps. The agency has really helped mum remain independent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Home Instead.

Job Title: Owner & Registered Care Manager

Hi, I’m Alison and I’m the joint Owner of Home Instead Lewes District & Uckfield. I am also the Registered Care Manager, delivering our City and Guilds accredited Dementia training.


I have lived in Sussex for nearly 25 years and believe that everyone has the right to live in a way that makes them happy and safe. Your home represents who you are, it holds all of your memories and it's where you should be able to feel secure and comfortable.


Through personal experience with my own parents, I've found how important it is to have the right care in place. You want a care service for your family that you can rely on and are happy with. It can often be difficult to know where to turn, especially if you live far away or are working long hours.


At Home Instead Lewes District & Uckfield, we provide the kind of care I'd want for my loved ones. And over the years I have learned that relationship and trust-building are at the heart of delivering a quality service which empowers our clients to thrive.
